March 17 tour
Paid parking in front of the Civic Center. Not much to eat or drink at the plantation. Might want to bring a couple snacks with you. Only saw one set of bathrooms.. Plan accordingly. Weather was cool for our visit in March. The boat tour was especially cool. A medium jacket was much needed.

Perfect Charleston Trio
My spouse and I chose this tour because it was the only one that stopped at Angel Oak, a destination recommended by a friend. Pickup was seamless at the Visitor’s Center. Angel Oak was the first leg of our tour, but before we even arrived, Jay provided enough Charleston and Low Country history to make the tour worth it. The tea garden (Charleston Tea Company, a working farm) was super educational and relaxing since we got to sip as much tea as we wanted. Moving on to the winery, there was an oyster festival that day. We grabbed a late lunch and drank plenty of wine samples and cocktails. After the trip was over, we agreed the trip was one of the best tours we’ve booked on vacation.

Great way to learn about Charleston
What a wonderful tour. The van is neat and clean, slightly cramped if full. Nick was very knowledgeable and informative about the history of Charleston. He wove his way around the city sharing information about the historiy of buildings and the city itself. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour of Charleston
This trolley/bus ride was a great overview of sights in Charleston. The driver/ tour guide, Marine Mike, was exceptionally friendly, entertaining, and informative. We learned so much about the history and architecture of the town, whose older buildings are stringently and beautifully preserved. Mike gave us the opportunity to step out of the bus to briefly explore some of the stops, which was appreciated. There is so much to see in Charleston that we were happy to get a tour of the highlights, so we knew which area we wanted to explore further.

Downtown Charleston is wonderfully walkable. However, book a Charleston bus tour if you want to cover a lot of ground in a short time while taking in the most important and photogenic sights. Especially on hot, humid days—not unusual in South Carolina, especially in the summer months—you can relax in an air-conditioned coach while listening to your guide share entertaining and informative commentary. Some Charleston bus tours include museum admission or opportunities to get off the bus for photo ops.
