Great experience. If the weather is hot be prepared, about 45 minutes of walking. Sean the bus driver and guide for the walk was knowledgeable and nice.

Great experience! Too much to see and do in just 2-3 hours. It was painful and angering to see how wealth was built in the back of enslaved people.

Magnolia is a beautiful property. We enjoyed the walking tour of the gardens and tram through the property. The house tour was a large group and would be more enjoyable with a smaller group. Also, we had a tour guide who was filling in for someone who called in sick. He repeatedly mentioned that he didn’t know this particular property which did make us wonder if the tour would have been better with a different guide.

Our guide was very informative on the bus ride and at the plantation. The house tour was great. The tram around the property for 45 mi was a little long and the guide talked about the plants and trees the whole time. Would have enjoyed stopping by the homes where the slaves had to live and heard more about their lives.

A late February tour is not optimal. There are very few flowers blossoming. There is not a lot to see on the 45 minute trolley ride.
The house tour was more interesting. Tour guide was knowledgeable.

The tour was AMAZING! My wife and I enjoyed so much about the day. Our tour guide Scott was great, the nice ladies we went with were so much fun, and the beauty of the entire place is breathtaking. We walked through the garden, took a tram ride to see plants & wildlife, toured the home, as well as walking though the slave homes. We learned so much and would definitely recommend taking this tour!

Our experience at the Magnolia Plantation was average. The gardens and swamp areas were beautiful and the highlight of the tour. The nature train ride and tour of the house were interesting, but nothing that left us with a “wow” feeling. Our tour bus guide was nice and friendly. He crammed in way too much information about South Carolina and the plantation on our 30 min ride out. It was just too much information to absorb. We got overwhelmed. I think being more selective in the information communicated on the way out to the plantation would be much better.

The tour of the plantation in the tram was informative. The house tour was very interesting. Our driver, Allen, did a good job of warming us up on the way there. It was a very cold day, so it wasn’t good to walk around the grounds, which would have elevated the experience.

Great tour. Location was not the easiest to find for meet up. Maybe a little more direction in your description? Bus driver spoke on way out and was interesting but the bulk of tour was on the plantation. DO NOT miss the Slave lecture. It was gracefully done with so many facts - Millie was fantastic!

This experience is like getting four tours in one! As you’re transported to the plantation you’re given a wonderful historical background of the area and what you’re about to see. When you arrive to the plantation you are taken on a tram ride through some of the grounds. You see wildlife and amazing flowers and foliage. Next you get a tour of the home. Finally, another guide explains enslaved life and you can tour some living quarters. You have some time to explore on your own as well. Such an enlightening experience!
