Bad experience

Tour guide for private tour texted us an hour before the tour start time saying he was stuck in traffic. We offered to start later even an hour late and he still declined. He pawned us off on another guide and we are now stuck going in the morning prior to our Mother’s Day brunch. Not at all ideal or what we wanted.

This person was given multiple options. The interstate was shut down preventing me from getting to the tour that day. I offered both morning and afternoon times the following day or a full refund both options were rejected by her. She then proceeded to rudely demand a tour on Sunday which I was not able to do and then offered a refund again which was again refused and this time even more rudely. I sent her business to a friend to try to please her. She never took my tour and my other reviews will prove that.

Great private tour - Different from the Pirates and Prohibition Tour

Tim puts on an amazing tour. We did the Pirates and Prohibition tour with him the night before and this tour was completely different. Covers a different area of the city and different content. Learned lots about the history of Charleston and saw parts of the city we would not otherwise have seen. He is a multi-generation Charlestonian who really knows the city. Just my spouse and I on the private tour. Completely worth it and a great experience.

Went with a larger group, and despite the heat and humidity Tim's energy never faltered. He was very knowledgable about Charleston and it's history. Was fun and was very considerate of our group and spent more time explaining the parts he thought we would be more interested in. The tour did go over time a bit, but Tim ended it near a couple pubs he recommended so that we were able to grab lunch quickly after
