Fantastic Colosseum & Palatine Hill Tour

Our guide made this tour a real highlight of our time in Rome. He was funny and engaging from start to finish, and kept everyone interested with plenty of fascinating historical tidbits that brought the ruins to life. You walk away feeling like you actually understand what you're looking at, not just admiring old stones. The pacing was spot on. The tour was well spaced out, with enough time at each stop to take it all in without ever feeling rushed or dragged out. He was also courteous and patient, and made sure every question was answered before moving on. If you're visiting the Colosseum and Palatine Hill, this tour is well worth it. Amazing tour with stops at each highlight

Great tour to hit all the main attractions for a little bit of time each. Would recommend as a tour at the beginning of your trip so you can get some insight and then come back to the locations you want to do more at. We were able to get off at the Colosseum as our hotel we nearby and not at the original tour starting location.

We had the best day on...

We had the best day on this tour! It was a well planned out day. Our tour guide, Valentina, was wonderful! She provided lots of information along our route and at our stops. Pompeii was my favorite stop of the tour. There is so much to see that I wish we would have had some extra time to view more of the site, but our time there was well spent and our guide made the best of the time that we had. Sorrento is a beautiful town and we were able to get some shopping in. Lots of places to pick up souvenirs and grab some gelato! The bus ride was long on the way back, but it was expected because of tourist season traffic. My husband and I left saying what a great experience we had! I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get out of the city for the day and immerse yourself into another part of Italy where you can learn about history and experience another side that Italy has to offer on the Amalfi coast!

Must do!

We had such a nice time! I’m here with my friend and sister, we decided to do this tour as a good way to experience and explore the city! Our guide was Emiliano who had lots of energy and great jokes. He was very knowledgeable. We ate and drank and walked around the city to our hearts content. Truly a fun experience if you have time to catch a break from all the typical sight seeing. This tour and Emiliano are well worth it.

Walking Through 2,000 Years of History. An Unforgettable Roman Experience!

What an incredible way to experience ancient Rome! Our tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill was absolutely fascinating and easily one of the highlights of our time in Rome. Walking into the Colosseum and actually standing inside a place we have seen in pictures our entire lives was surreal. Our guide did a wonderful job bringing the history to life and explaining what the Colosseum would have looked and felt like thousands of years ago. I especially loved exploring the Roman Forum. Walking along the same streets where ancient Romans lived, worshipped, and conducted the business of the Roman Empire made history feel real in a completely different way. Palatine Hill was beautiful as well, with incredible ruins and views over the Forum. There is a lot of walking, uneven ground, and stairs, so definitely wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a workout! But it is absolutely worth it. Rome has so many beautiful places, but being surrounded by this much history was something I will never forget. If you are visiting Rome for the first time, I would consider this tour a must-do.

The Vatican and Sistine chapel - Viator

I have left a review as Viator fully deserves 5 stars. We booked with Viator and the process was seemless. The queues outside were enormous - our queue was not. Our tour guide whipped us through the queue and Straight into the Vatican in less than 10 minutes. We have never had a tour guide and were concerned that a 3 hour tour may be a bit much for us. However - we had a tour guide called Richard who was absolutely brilliant, informative, enthusiastic and kept us fully engaged for the whole tour. I honestly don’t think you could have done this tour with out one. One of the things he did was explained all the inspiration and meanings behind the artwork at the Sistine chapel prior to entering - this made visiting the chapel a lot more meaningful as you understood the history and meanings behind Michelangelos work - as obviously it’s a silent area so without this you wouldn’t really know what what you are looking at or the history behind it unless you have been informed before. All in all well done Viator and well done Richard!! Best excursion of out trip to Rome!

Significant walking throughout your visit to Vatican City…but well worth every step. Breathtaking, awe inspiring and very moving as we made out from the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and finally St Peter’s. We were blessed to Suszanne as our host and guide. We had a great time on our golf cart tour of Rome. This was our first time here and it is a great way to see what is in Rome at a high level. Our guide was Kareem and he did a wonderful job showing us around and giving us tips on what to possibly see and the best ways to enhance the visit. He was knowledgeable and very personable. He even bought us some refreshments! If you want to get a jump start on what to see and do while you’re in Rome I highly recommend taking a golf cart tour.

Fun ride on beautiful cart!

Our guide, Arianna was wonderful and we had such a beautiful car that others were taking pictures and videos of us! My only complaint would be that visitors should be aware that a golf cart through cobblestone roads is a very bumpy ride so if you have motion sickness, this wouldn't' be a good excursion. Its a great excursion to do when you arrive somewhere so you get a great overview and then you can go to individual sites as you wish for a longer time.

This tour was amazing, highly recommend. Cathy’s knowledge of Ancient Rome and all the sites we visited was incredible and so engaging. Her expertise was fantastic ensuring we accessed areas faster as well as visiting additional areas. It was a really great morning with plenty of time for photos, taking in the sites and learning more about Rome’s history.
