Fascinating Day In Pompeii

We had a wonderful tour with Antoinetta. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. Despite the intense heat, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Just be aware that there’s very little shade along the route, so it’s a good idea to bring plenty of water and a handheld fan if you have one. Highly recommended!

The best day!

The excursion exceeded our expectations. We had an incredible day exploring the Almafi Coast and Pompeii. Our driver, Gianluca, planned the perfect itinerary. He led us to Almafi, as well as Ravello, where he recommended beautiful gardens and an infinity terrace with surreal views that were the highlight of our time in Italy. He also recommended delicious restaurants that gave us a flavor for the delicious food of the region. A private tour of Pompeii was also arranged for us! Our guide, Romelo, was a Pompeii native and was extremely knowledgeable. The private tour was invaluable - we would have missed so many details and fascinating facts without it. Overall, this exclusion was well worth the price, and I would recommend to anyone, especially if coming off a cruise ship for the day or if limited time to take in all that Almafi Coast and Pompeii have to offer.

10/10 absolutely recommend for a more enriching experience of Pompeii and Herculaneum!

This was a great experience! Our tour guide Diego, studied archeology and he was so knowledgeable about Pompeii and Herculaneum. I typically prefer doing self guided tours, but I am SO glad i opted for this tour with Diego since both archeological sites are so vast, I feel like I wouldn’t have had as rich of an experience as I did if I went solo or even with an audioguide. The group was small so it still felt personal which was great. The itinerary was also very organized and efficient and they helped transport us from Pompeii to Herculaneum seamlessly. We also had a break in between the 2 so that we could separate for lunch and a break before reconvening. All of the tour guides/organizers made sure we had plenty of water and bathroom breaks. I would absolutely do it again and absolutely recommend it!!

Fabulous Day in Pompeii and Herculaneum

This is a long day of exploration and diving into history, but completely worth it. Both Pompeii and Herculaneum are fascinating sites with lots to see, and it wouldn't have been as meaningful and educational without a knowledgable tour guide. I highly recommend this experience- but definitely bring water and good walking shoes!

Thorough, and Perfect Length, Pompei Tour

This exceeded our expectations. We knew we wanted a thorough, but relatively quick tour of Pompei, focused on highlights. That is what we experienced. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable, expertly reading the group, especially our two teen daughters, by making sure she pointed out things that would keep us engaged. In fact, during our two weeks in Italy, where we had many other tour guides (in Rome and Florence), she was our favorite. Then, after the two hour guided tour, she left us with a clear path of other things to see at this amazing site. Thank you!!

Wonderful experience!

My family of 4 had a fantastic time on the tour. The vans that we drove in were very comfortable, the tour of Pompeii was excellent, and the meal in Sorrento was delicious. We also really enjoyed the knowledgeable tour guides and the other members of the group who were on tue tour with us. It was a perfect day and I highly recommend this excursion to anyone!

Excellent tour

Excellent pace, learned a lot. Wear a hat or bring umbrella and water is a must!! Sara was very informative, answered every question, responsive to requests for water breaks. Absolutely recommended! (Also, the walk is on cobblestone and sand. Do not attempt if you have mobility issues.)

Perfect way to get to and see Pompeii off of a cruise

Everything was perfect. The coordinator was easy to find right outside of the port. The bus ride was comfortable and only 30 minutes. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and moved at a comfortable pace. Pompeii speaks for itself. Absolutely worth doing and the best part is they do all of the legwork getting the tickets.

Amazing tour, highlight of the trip

Amazing tour of Pompeii, followed by a visit to a vineyard with charcuterie and wine tasting with a view of the bay (including Capri) as well as Vesuvius. Very knowledgeable and descriptive stewards. Wrapped up the tour with a very fun horse ride through vineyards on the side of Vesuvius, very beautiful views. Highly recommended!

A great visit to the past

Our guide, Luciana, helped make our day at Pompei one to remember. She was fun, extremely knowledgeable (I asked lots of questions, as a history buff, and she answered them all), and very helpful. She really made the past come alive in interesting and amusing (and even touching) ways. I highly highly recommend a private tour with Eliana's team - while not the cheapest option it's far superior to either doing it on your own or being in a big or even semi-private group. Also Eliana was very helpful in getting us set up, suggesting the best time to go to the site to avoid crowds and day heat (it gets HOT in the summer). 5 stars and would visit the past again with this team.

Pompeii and Vesuvius

We did Pompeii and the Vesuvius hike. Antonio was a perfect guide through Pompeii. I only wish we had more time! Combining the two activities wasn't ideal for us because we would have liked more time to walk around on our own. The Vesuvius hike was well worth it and a good workout. The views were amazing.
