Viva Frankie!!! Viva Pompeii!!

Pompeii is an amazing experience, which could get 5 stars by itself. What made it a brilliant experience was our guide, Frankie. We were a group of friends, 3 couples, and we could have gone round by ourselves, seen much but learned little. We could have gone round with another guide and learned much. But Frankie made walking round Pompei an experience. He gave many facts but didn’t drown us in detail; he was entertaining but didn’t try to be the ‘star’; but best of all, although he must have done the tour a thousand times, he made it seem that he valued us as people, not just punters, and just gave us a full tour that will live long in the memory. His catchphrase, “Follow Frankie”, that told us he was moving on, is one that everyone who is thinking of booking would do well to follow. As for the rest, we had a large taxi that picked us up from Salerno and took us to and from Pompeii, which made the whole experience feel real value for money. And the email stream before the trip kept us totally involved and up to date.

A good way to see the site in a few hours.

A great tour guide, Carmen, was very informative - with a great sense of humour! Flat shoes needed as it’s a lot of walking on uneven paving. Well organised, but a lot of people around so be careful to keep up with your group! It’s also very hot, so take drinks. Could spend a lot longer there but without a guide it would have been Very tiring, this trip was just enough time to see the main parts.

This was the first...

This was the first excursion we booked for our honeymoon and we are so happy we did! The whole day was amazing and we felt so lucky to have Norris and Delilah, they were awesome and SO knowledgeable. Great tour of Amalfi coast

We had the best guided with Julia and Norris. Julia was so friendly and informative sharing stories and history along our boat ride. We enjoyed two stops and it was very easy to find them at the end of the visit. Appreciated the tips of places to check out and of course the swim was fantastic. Roads on the bus ride are typical Italian coast, a bit winding up and down through the towns; but enjoyed the multiple stops and the free time in each. Driver Francesco handled it flawlessly and guide Rosy was very personable, informative and easy to understand.

Great tour of Amalfi and Pompeii. Rosy was an awesome, enthusiastic, knowledgeable tour guide. While Francesco maneuvered the hair pins turns towards and from Amalfi with ease and experience. The tour was great, providing a glimpse of both areas. Pompeii felt a little rushed and surprisingly crowded in mid September.

Capri Trip in September

Constanza and Salvatore were both great hosts, offering up soft drinks and water the whole trip. The snorkeling and ocean water was really nice on such a warm day and was so refreshing BUT be mindful, you are only given 30 minutes in the water the entire time. I would highly deter people with children for this particular trip. There isn’t much to do on Capri, simply getting to the top of the island was a hot & hectic trek (You’re not really there yet when you’re dropped off at the port) and we were already tired from the snorkel. My 13 yr old was over it after the first hour there and you’re given three. For adults? This is a decent amount of time if you want to go shopping and look around the island; kids really don’t wanna do that, they just wanna go back to the beach and we didn’t find one to swim in. Parents - hope this helps!

Guido was Great!
