Parking is NOT easy in DC and it would've been a nightmare had we tried to do this itinerary on our own. Great way to see all the highlights of DC in a short amount of time. Well worth the price. Vehicle and guide were top notch. My only knock is that there is a $50 upcharge when booking through Viator. 2 of us rented the vehicle for a special tour, places we wanted to go. We wanted history of the sites more than walking up to them. Alan was the best, he gave us more history than we would have ever received of the monuments, sites and any questions we had pertaining to DC. Arrive 30 minutes early, pee first, take a water bottle/snacks, wear your comfy shoes. The tour is EXCELLENT, but there is only a 10-30 minute window at each stop. We missed some of the FDR memorial because we needed a bathroom break. When you exit Union Station in the front, turn right. That's where the bus stops. The tour is wonderful. And NOT dealing with D.C. traffic and parking is the icing on the cake!
