Kate was absolutely the best guide! She was so knowledgeable about the history and the archaeological area. She did a fantastic job of interjecting interesting facts with fun anecdotal stories. The information was just fascinating. However, one thing she did that went above and beyond was to make sure to check in with the group to pause for water and restrooms (3-hour tour on a 100-degree day), and made sure the various comfort levels of the group were considered. I cannot recommend this tour enough; it was one of the favorites of our entire trip to Rome. Hope you get Kate as your guide!

There is a moderate amount of walking and stairs, elevator available. Weather was very hot for us (100°F) with bright sun. Electric personal fans and a spray bottle of water was very helpful. Also hats and sunglasses. I wore flip flop sandals because of heat and it wasn’t bad. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and included fun facts to entertain our 8 year old son. She was also considerate of how much we could handle and allowed for breaks and time to sit and kept us primarily in shaded spots.

Lovely taste of the Amalfi Coast

This was the perfect way to get a taste and flavor for the Amalfi coast while also seeing the beautiful countryside of this part of Italy. It is a long day with many hours on a bus, but the drive is scenic. The guide, Flavio, was informative and entertaining. Communication was clear throughout. The boat portion is ferry rides along the coast. It's a wonderful way to see the beauty of the hillside communities. Great food options in Positano. Little tasters of Limoncello in Amalfi, which has more gelato options in a small area than you can want!

Our guide was a beautiful young woman with a degree in archeology . She was very knowledgeable and I wish i could remember everything she shared . So much history! Her English was very good. The golf cart tour was perfect for our family since we wanted to see as much as we could in a short time span. Really fun to drive down the many narrow streets. Highly recommend!

I was hesitant about booking this tour but oh man I’m glad we did! My partner and I really enjoyed this and so far this has been the highlight of our trip! We did the 9am tour and the line to get in looked long but it moved rather quickly. Our tour guide was very attentive and made sure we were always together which I appreciated since there are so many other tours going on and it’s easy to get distracted by all the art and history surrounding you. She was very interactive and made this experience fun! I would definitely recommend booking!

History Comes Alive with Tiberius!

Oh my gosh—it was absolutely scorching hot on the day of our tour! The heat was so intense that, at one point, we were wondering if we'd made the right decision. Thankfully, we had Tiberius as our guide. Since most of the tour takes place outdoors, it would have been easy to lose interest in that kind of weather. But despite standing in the same blazing sun as the rest of us, Tiberius kept the experience fascinating from start to finish. His passion for history, art, and culture was unmistakable, and his storytelling was engaging, entertaining, and full of life. We enjoyed the tour so much that we've been binge-watching documentaries about Roman history and revolutions ever since. That's all thanks to Tiberius for sparking our curiosity. One of Tiberius's insights that really stayed with us was that “The more you learn about history, the more you realize how meaningless racism is” It's a simple statement, but a powerful one. This tour wasn't just informative, it gave us a new perspective and a genuine appreciation for history. Highly recommended!

The tour was quite comprehensive and moved at a good pace. I liked the size of the tour group and our guide (Marco) was engaging and fun. Meeting at Crown Tours was simple to find our group although an hour before the tour is a long time to stand around. The tour office has no where to sit, some air-conditioned space inside, no washroom facilities and although I understand the desire to have the group present and ready to go in advance of the tour, it was a long wait with little shade.

Excellent tour with Fabrizio

Fabrizio was a wonderful driver and guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We went to several places we would not have otherwise known to visit. He was also kind enough to help us find the perfect pizza place after our tour. Highly recommend this tour, whether it is your first visit or your 10th!!
