I was paired with Ludovica who gave me a once in a lifetime experience. I had a 10 hour layover in Rome and wanted to explore the city through a cultural lens of a local native. Ludo felt like an old friend. She was warm and friendly. I honestly was so sad leaving her. She was so knowledgeable, taught me some Italian,and even showed me the hidden gemz. I definitely will be back and would definitely hire her again.

There were a host of important and interesting sites that you don’t get from a guide book that we were lucky enough to experience. And books are not so good with answering questions. 😀 Indira, our guide, provided a very customized tour. Before we left the US we discussed what was of interest to us and then throughout the tour she continued to offer alternatives based on our interests. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and the sites we were seeing. I feel like we really saw some of Rome’s hidden gems thanks to her. Highly recommend the tour!

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Gerry! He was excellent! Very knowledgeable and friendly! He took us to all the sites we wanted to see on our itinerary and we leaned so much about Rome! It was the perfect way to spend a few hours when we only had one day to see the city. What a fantastic tour! Gerry was so great at tailoring it so that we got to see the hidden gems along with the must-see highlights like the coliseum. He gave us the right amount of history and political context to understand the significance of each site, bringing everything to life while still allowing us to cover a lot of ground in three hours. He's also just a super nice guy, and the time flew by. Highly recommend!

Alex was an excellent guide who shared his deep knowledge of the city’s history and hidden gems. He took us to many of the main sites and introduced us to lesser-known places. He also recommended other neighborhoods to explore on our own and provided a list of authentic restaurants that were less touristy.

We specifically signed up for this tour because we wanted to experience the culture and hidden gems of Rome. The tour did not disappoint thanks to our amazing tour guide, Beatrice. She asked us ahead of time about our interests. And, it was very clear that she prepared and planned our tour based on our interests. We had the chance to get away from the hundreds of tourists because we had already been to all the historical sites. And, we experienced fun Roman foods, wine, markets and art. Something we would have never experienced on our own. We asked Beatrice for recommendations for the rest of our stay. And, she took the time the next day to respond back to us to give us great suggestions. Please ask for Beatrice if you want to really experience the heart of Rome.

There is so much to see that internet searches can't reveal. We very much enjoyed our walking tour of Rome with a local guide. We filled out a questionnaire before-hand, which helped shape the tour to best fit our interests, capabilities & limitations (being an "aging couple"). Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. She showed us things we never could have found on our own. I even "upgraded" my straw hat to a real one from a company making them since the mid 1800's! From pictures to purchases to palate, it was well worth the extra cost for a private tour. Group tours are adequate, but this was specifically tailored to our interests & capabilities.

Our guide Alex was great. He was very knowledgeable and did indeed took us to hidden gems in Rome. We would have never gone to most of the places (churches) that he took us on our own. They were amazing,
However, we were disappointed that he did not take us to the places that we wanted to see, which he confirmed that he would (we had texted him weeks prior to our private tour - yes, touristy sites - Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Mouth of Truth, and thus the 4 stars instead of 5.
Alex is very professional and he friendly. Take the tour but confirm with the guide ahead of time if you have specific sites you want to see so you are not disappointed.

Claudio is an amazing historian. He took the time to point out specific sites of historical importance and architecture. Claudio took us down beautiful floral lined streets and alley ways that we would otherwise of not seen. I would recommend him to anyone for a private tour of Rome.

Olga provided us with a wonderful walking tour of Rome, showing us sites we never would have found without a knowledgeable guide. She went above and beyond to confirm the tour with us as I lost my cell phone in the airport prior to arrival. She was very patient while we explored sites and offered additional time frequently.
