Bobby is very knowledgeable and funny. He stopped at all the places mentioned in the tour and gave us enough time to visit and take pictures.

Overall the tour was good, driver was knowledgeable and gave good time to get out and get pictures. This is good because the windows on the mini bus were incredibly dirty- actually hard to see through and made picture taking poor quality. Also pickup was confusing. There was not a clear location at the hotel to meet, and dispatch didn't call with instructions till 5 min before departure. Finally this said small van tour 14 people, it was bus with 25... That really wasn't the vibe I signed up for, but not a game changer.

Dear Ms. Di Tommaso.: Thanks for your review. Our Mini Buses are from 14-25 passengers. I am happy the guide was good. since you were 11 you would have been requesting a private tour by calling us earlier. Since its the winter time, we accommodate
with what is available. Please make sure when you travel with a large family o call in advance before your tour is confirmed. If you comeback any time in a year I will be happy to provide you a complimentary privet tour.

Your felt rushed while driving. Thought there would be a few more get out to see stops. No water provided at all. Would have brought own had I know it was not being provided as the description stated.

Waiting in the hotel parking lot for tour operators.

Its not true. 1) the customer called us at 7;50pm and asked to a peek up, while he has to be at the pickup location he didn't
2 the driver call him to take come to the White House , he refused. The weather was a little drizzling and he wanted to cancel the tour. I talked my self even offer him a private cart tour. he declined. I don't know why he wanted to damage us?? very strange. We don't provide a hotel pickup public tour

Always try to have visitors get this tour in the night of arrival if not in to late. It gives them a nice preview of the rest of the trip.

Driver was terrible. Didn’t have facts correct and was using foul language when standing outside the bus. Stopped and had us look at the roadblock for Cherry Blossom Festival.

We really enjoyed our tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable about the history of DC being a Washingtonian himself, but his use of humor to make a point and show attendants that history sometimes doesn’t take the path you would like to accept. But history is history. It’s was an awesome evening and we enjoyed it.

Rode in a van where you could not see out the front. Driver parked facing sights and talked and talked, not letting us out of the bus, while we could not see anything. Tour went 45 minutes over, we spent very little time off bus.

Our driver Robert did a great job. Saw a lot of DC. Only wish DC would light up more monuments like they used to. Not sure why so many are so dark.

The tour was not as advertised. Barley any AC.. super hot. Thank God I had a small hand held fan for my child. In addition upon getting on the bus the driver was rude about us having our baby on the tour. Didn’t really offer any help.
When my mother in law asked about the ac the driver still appeared to be upset . In addition, the glass of the bus was SO DIRTY, making it difficult to take photos. The best part was seeing the city at night. Wish I would have used a different bus… or paid way less. Worse tour experience

The group size was larger than advertised and it was difficult to hear the narration in the tour mini-bus. The biggest issue, though, was that it took 90 minutes before we had the first nighttime view of a landmark. At that point, we chose not to get back on the bus. Note that sunset was late and the first stop was twilight rather and didn't offer the desired view.

Late arrival. Misleading description - said 6 - 10 pm with a stop at National Cathedral (optional entrance fee). No stop or even drive by the Cathedral. Guide was mediocre.

We’ve done this tour before and love it. This time it was very rushed. Specifically looked for tour w/ a stop at FDR memorial. We had 18 min to use restroom, see MLK and FDR. We ran to FDR and skipped MLK And bathroom. 30 min At Vietnam/Korea/Lincoln.

This was by far the worst tour I have ever done. I spent a great deal of time researching the itineraries. We did not go to half of the sights listed in the tour. The driver was not a good resource and in fact gave inaccurate information. I was told it would be 14 people total. It was more. Others in the tour had booked a different tour through a different company and paid significantly less. I have requested a 50% discount. The k my reason I didn’t request a full refund is we did go to some of the sights listed and the monuments are beautiful at night.

When I booked the tour was told there would be 7 stops, there were 3 (Capitol, side street with glimpse of White HOuse, Lincoln monument). Another stop was skipped due to number of tour buses there at the time, driver told us we'd come back later. We did drive past later, only 2 other buses there but our driver did not stop--no reason provided. At beginning of tour, driver said best restrooms were at MLK monument, never went there. In written confirmation i was sent after booking, said we'd get water bottle--didn't happen. Could over look this if only issue. Driver didn't appear to have set route, just going where he felt like. Don't know if route varied due to increased security issues (just after Trump indictment) but, if this was case, wasn't shared with us. Had read reviews prior to booking, tour given wonderful reviews. Perhaps with different tour guide/driver it would have been better experience. Driver told us that Viator contracts with local tour guides--think Viator needs to periodically put unidentified employees on tours to ascertain if quality of tour/what is promised by company actually is happening. This was nighttime tour. Thought about booking a daytime tour to see monuments not seen that night BUT was hesitant to do so based on our experience--didn't want to waste more money or time, only to be possibly disappointed. I cannot recommend this tour based on our experience. Save your money and have an UBER driver take you to the various locations.

I paid more for this experience because I wanted it to be “small group”. Was to only be up to 12 people. There were over 45 that showed up, which was NOT what I paid for. The description states there will be water, there was not, and no where to purchase it along this hours long trip. Do not go with this vender, they have no regard for truth in advertising.

Not exactly as advertised. Ticket start time said 7:00 but was actually 7:30. Said you would be provided water- non provided and non available to purchase- everything closed at night. Was longer than three hours. Lots of driving around seeing things at night that couldn’t see. Best part- actually seeing main memorials at night.

Well informed and very knowledgeable tour guide. We learned a good deal of DC information from him, his name was Robert. Our only complaint was that the tour itself was not well run. The logistics of the passenger list were rather uncoordinated, also the meeting time was wrong. Perhaps the tour should have a local contact number for those of us who purchased tickets. We did enjoy the sights.

Not at all what I paid for. I searched several tours and landed on this one because of the itinerary. When we got to the tour pick up stop, none of the buses had the name of DC Legend Tours on it. I decided to ask the Loba bus and sure enough they had my name. Different route than what I purchased.

Unfortunately tour was cancelled once I arrived in Washington DC. No alternative was suggested. Disappointed as travelling as lone female and wanted night tour with hotel pick up. Ended up on the big bus night tour which was full. Perhaps is this tour was a little cheaper more people would sign up.

Our tour was very informative. It would have been nice if we could have seen more of Embassy Row. It was dark so it was more street lights than the homes. The night tour of the monuments was beautiful. We happened to be in DC while the Nationals were playing the World Series so there were a lot of Nationals displays like at the National Cathedral. The tour guide was very good and very respectful and very knowledgeable. Our pickup and drop off were perfect. We would recommend to the tour company to split the tour to some hours of daytime touring along with some night touring.

This was a wonderful way to see the monuments at night and it feels more personalized since it's a small tour bus. It was important to me to be picked up at my hotel, and I was actually picked up about 10 minutes early, so be aware that the time your given is an estimate. Johannes was a great, informative guide and was very friendly. The only downside is that his accent makes him slightly hard to understand. Lots of stops and more than enough time to get out and take photos. He provides bottled water, but it isn't cold. Overall, I highly recommend it.

There's something about seeing these awesome places in the dark. And there are a lot of says to do it. Our tour guide was great, told us everything we needed to know while driving, then let us go on our own to explore. The amount of time he gave us was plenty for each stop. The small size of our group\bus was much better than the bigger buses that had drivers trying to guide large groups around in the dark. Highly recommend this tour.
