You’ll spend three-hours on this guided nighttime tour passing by some of the top sites and monuments in the nation’s capital. Keep your eyes peeled out of the windows, while keeping an ear out for your guide who narrates throughout the tour.
The Jefferson Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery are just a few of the sites you’ll see while driving. Sip on free bottled water that’s provided; you’ll want to be refreshed for the 10 photo stops you’ll take along the way, including stops at the White House and MLK Memorial.

- There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.
- Attraction Tickets Upgrades: 1. Due to hours of operation at the attractions, tickets will be valid for the next available day of travel after your night tour. 2. Your attraction tickets will be valid for entry on the date and time assigned by the attraction, which will be noted on your entry ticket upon receipt. Date and time cannot be selected ahead of time, and we are unable to change the date and time assigned to you by the attraction. 3. The tour operator will send your ticket to you on the date of your scheduled night tour. Tickets will be sent to travelers via WhatsApp. If you did not provide us with a valid WhatsApp phone number during checkout, please contact us prior to your tour date. 4. Attraction Tickets are non-refundable once issued to travelers. 5. Tickets are used for self-guided entry into the attractions. Entry is not a part of the guided tour experience and is for the traveler to use independently.
- **Cherry blossom season (typically late March-early April) guests will have time to walk along the cherry blossom trees during their tour. Please Note: cherry blossoms are a seasonal highlight, and when the trees are not in bloom travelers will still be able to enjoy the 10+ memorial stops and sightseeing portion of the tour without the trees. Please be advised of this when booking preferred travel date.

, our guide was terrific. She had a phenomenal grasp of history and made everyone feel welcomed. Godfrey manipulated the bus with dexterity. I think that the LIncoln Monument should be first , this would enable the tourist an opportunity to see this monument, the Vietnam and Korean Monuments in daylight Tour is certainly wotrh the money.

Our experience with Viator was extremely disappointing, not because of the tour itself, but because of the way the company handled a problem that was completely beyond our control.
We booked the Night Monuments Tour and paid an additional fee for the self-guided Washington Monument experience. During the tour, we asked our guide about this portion, and she informed us that it was scheduled for Thursday. She also explained that the Washington Monument would be closed due to the extreme heat and specifically advised us to contact Viator Customer Service to request a refund for the additional experience that we would be unable to use.
Following her instructions, we contacted Viator Customer Service the next morning. After reviewing our case, the representative told us that we were not eligible for any refund because, according to their system, “the tour took place.”
That completely misses the point. We are not disputing that the Night Monuments Tour took place. Our complaint is that we paid extra for the Washington Monument experience, which was never available to us due to the monument’s closure. We paid for a service that could not be delivered, yet Viator refused to provide any compensation, even after their own guide directed us to contact customer service.
This experience left us feeling that customer satisfaction is not a priority for Viator. We expected a company of this size to stand behind the experiences it sells and to treat customers fairly when circumstances prevent part of a purchased service from being provided.
Unfortunately, because of how this situation was handled, we will not book with Viator again, and we cannot recommend the company to others.

it was a disaster...the bus got lost and I have tried to get in touch with Viator and the tour company with no success. I'm trying to get my money back. The bus got lost and couldn't pick the members on the tour back up. We were virtually stranded for 45-1 hour while the bus driver tried to navigate the street closures around DC. The issue is the bus driver, tour guide, and tour company owners weren't prepared. The tour guide had us stop and wait for the bus on a street that wasn't open to traffic. Why she thought a bus could get through is beyond me. I suggested multiple time walking to an open street and wasn't really listened to until finally they realized there was no other solution than to move the group to where the bus could get to. So you are thinking why didn't you just leave...I would have loved to and most people did but my family and I had our belongings ON THE BUS! So we couldn't just leave. On top of the lost bus I have a 6 year old and it was a nightime tour so it was around 9pm-10pm when this lost bus took place. She was getting tired and antsy.

Bus was nice and clean but we weren’t able to see most of the locations we were told we would see. If we would have been informed about this earlier we would have canceled.

We saw only 4 monuments and on the lady one the bus driver was suppose to pick us up at the rear of the Lincoln mem. Because of traffic and road closures the bus was 1 1/2 hours late picking us up. At 10:30 a few couples gave up and got alternate rides to our hotels. As did we. This was suppose to be a pleasurable, evening experience. But in 4 hours time we barely did the 4. We became very uncomfortable when our tour guide began offering her political views. We love President Trump. I guess she doesn't. Since she's in the public eye she better keep her opinions too herself. We noticed another bus driver, Tonia did the same. She also took off and stranded us for an hour and a half at the Jefferson men. We'd like our money refunded. This was 2 disgusting trips we paid for and s seriously regret. Please refund all monies.

Great experience, incredibly informative. No way we could have seen as much as we did or learned/heard as much as we did without the tour. Our guide Dwayne was phenomenal. He was incredibly informative and brilliant with his historical knowledge as well as fun facts. Loved that it didn’t feel like we were being read a script but actually being informed.

Viewing the monuments at night was wonderful! We did a similar tour during the day and the evening tour was a very different visual and emotional experience. Dwayne was a fantastic guide, so personable, knowledgeable and his voice was so clear and audible. Highly recommend!
