Half-day well spent

I recently took a half-day trip to Mount Vernon, which also included a bus tour of Old Alexandria, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The tour was well organised, giving us time to see the highlights in the grounds, gardens, and house while still fitting in a relaxing and informative drive through Old Alexandria. The combination of history, scenery, and local insight made for a perfect half-day experience. A special mention goes to Lori, our tour guide, who was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history of the area to life with interesting stories and great humour throughout the trip. Her enthusiasm really made the experience memorable. Khalif, our driver, was equally superb. He navigated the busy roads smoothly and safely, making the journey comfortable and stress-free. His professionalism and friendly attitude added to the overall enjoyment of the day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Washington area and looking for an enjoyable and informative trip outside the city.

Beyond grateful.

We could not have had a better experience! Our guide Alan went ABOVE and BEYOND for my family. I loved that he contacted us prior to our trip to get to know us and our needs...and boy do we have needs! I brought my parents to DC so that my father could visit the Vietnam Wall to say goodbye to those he lost. Both of my parents have very limited mobility, and to say that getting them to and from where we were going was difficult would be an understatement. Alan was patient, accommodating, and understanding. He is also VERY knowledgeable about the area and historically accurate. I will be forever grateful to Alan for giving my dad such a great experience. If you are planning to visit DC, you will not be disappointed booking a tour with Alan!

Regis is Amazing 🤩

This tour was everything I wanted it to be! Regis was genuinely knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. The private tour is a bit more pricey, but worth every penny. We were able to see everything we wanted at our own pace, without worrying about the strict schedule of a group tour. We ere also able to see some monuments and memorials which usually aren’t included in traditional tours. We did this on our first night in town. It was so nice to get to all the major photo spots out of the way in one go so we could focus on museums the rest of our trip. Overall, I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience on this tour! Johnny, our guide, was fantastic — friendly, punctual, funny, and very knowledgeable. He shared so many interesting stories about Virginia’s history and the early presidents, which made the drive from DC to Shenandoah both fun and educational. The short hike in Shenandoah Valley, part of the Appalachian Trail, was scenic and suitable for all fitness levels. As someone who loves hiking, I personally would’ve enjoyed a slightly longer trail, but it was still a great balance for a day trip. The Luray Caverns were absolutely amazing! We arrived at a great time, before it got crowded in the afternoon, and I felt I had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the site. Overall, the tour was very well organized, relaxing, and full of beautiful sights. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience Virginia’s natural beauty and history in one day!

We took a 2-hour walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery with Dwayne, Signature Tours of DC. His knowledge of Arlington was stellar. I wish we had more time with him! I would hire Dwayne for any DC tour. His stories and depth of history made the tour exceptional.
