Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere

The colosseum portion with Angela was great. It was all downhill from there. We had to get our own transportation from the colosseum to the Vatican. We met our guide and stood outside the Vatican for 40 minutes waiting for another guide from the company to bring us our admission tickets. Our tour guide was a retired professor who proceeded to give us an advanced lesson in Vatican/Roman history. She quizzed us throughout the tour and was not happy if we responded incorrectly or if someone wasn’t paying attention to what she was saying. She repeated the same things numerous times. We told her that she was taking too much time and we were going to miss the Sistine chapel and St Peter’s basilica. We told her our ride was coming at 6 for the last part of the tour. She told us we had “plenty of time” ( this was at 5:40!!). We ended up with FIVE minutes at the Sistine chapel and did not get to see St Peter’s basilica AT ALL. The two most important parts of the Vatican tour!! Our driver for the last part was kind enough to wait for us. By the time we walked to the meeting spot it was already 6:30 so we lost 30 minutes of that tour, too. I immediately reached out to the provider and was told they would look into it. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven’t heard a word, even though I messaged them several times. For as much as we paid… save yourself the headache and book with someone else.
