It was so packed & this was March that we walked around ourselves reading what we could on route. Did not refer to our app due to people constantly bumping in to each other. Will read up about the history once home 😊

Colloseum Wi-Fi does not run all the time. Very difficult to download the audio tour unless you have data on your phone. There is a lift for use for accessibility needs. A must do tour.

Colosseum well worth the visit. Entry easy but only to time. The subsequent queues for forum and Pallantine so so long we didn't wait. Aim to do thst first and early!

Booked two trips in Rome and both went without a problem tickets sent by pdf really pleased as we only booked them the day before all other sites had no availability good price compared with other sites would use again else where

We booked the 3pm tour which I don’t advise as after visiting the colosseum we headed to the Roman forum and Palentine hill which closes at 3:15 was not made aware of this beforehand so after joining the queue at 3:15 as we entered the colosseum at 2:45 we were told they we not letting anyone else in and would have to come back the next morning unfortunately that wasn’t possible for us so explained this to the team at the gate and luckily managed to squeeze in however loads of people got turned away so I don’t think 3pm tours should be getting sold the actual tour itself was really good however the stress of maybe not getting in spoiled it a bit so my advice would be do not book the 3pm tour.

The colosseum is a magnificent architectural feat and I was looking forward to enjoying the day with my family. The ticket also included the Roman Forum & Palatine Hills. Two days before the visit I received a message requesting to move the time from 1330 to 1430, not realising the place closed at 1530. The map directions link for the entrance actually took us to the exit. We lost precious time going through 2 ticket inspections & security checks which means we were finally inside about 1450. We left the colosseum at 1600 and headed to Roman forum & Palatine Hills only to find out it was closed. There should be separate tickets for 1 day to see all 3 attractions & tickets valid for 7 days for people on a leisurely trip.! Also it should have come with an audio guide for a deeper understanding of the attraction. I was disappointed my family & I didn’t get to see all the attractions.

Regarding the time change, we contacted you two days before your visit to request moving the entry time from 13:30 to 14:30, and we received your confirmation that 14:30 was suitable for you. We then sent the updated tickets, which included all relevant information about entrance times and the closing schedule of the archaeological area.
Please note that tickets for these sites are generally valid for entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on the following day as well, so you would have been able to visit those areas the next day if it suited your travel schedule.
We are sorry to hear that the map link led you to the exit and that this caused a delay. We understand how frustrating it can be to lose valuable visiting time, especially when traveling with family. Definitely a must visit attraction to see and feel the history. I was able to purchase a ticket from Viator site when the official Colosseum site shows all ticket are sold out (though the Viator price of US$45 is 2x expensive as the official Colosseum booking site e18, but worth it)

Viator charged me for visit to Colloseum for my familly 72 euro instead 36euro as kods do not pay entrance. On pfficial site ticket for adult is 18 euro. Afyer my request for redund they were super fast answering that the price of the ticket for adult is 37,5 euro per adult which was not true. I will never use Viator again.

The standard ticket costs €18 and includes the same features (except for the audio guide) as the one I purchased, which cost about €35. You can obtain it directly from the ticket kiosk at the Colosseum, but caution is advised, especially during the high season, as the waiting lines are very long. If you do not want to wait, it is recommended to buy tickets online ( skip the line) . In addition, the audio guide application never worked, even though it was included in the price.
In general, regarding the organization of the archaeological sites, there is a lack of coordination and considerable confusion, especially at the Colosseum, which negatively affects the overall visitor experience. If I were to buy a ticket again, I would choose the simple €18 ticket and, after finding all the necessary information online about the archaeological sites, I would complete the visit without paying extra for the audio guide.
I do not agree with the requirement to purchase a separate ticket for the arena and the underground areas, as I consider this to be exploitative.
In any case, the Colosseum is unique, and they know very well that people will come from all over the world to see it.
