This was a fantastic activity. This booking allowed us to walk straight through without waiting. There was room to move once in the Castel, it wasn’t over crowded. The views were amazing. Highly recommend.

Office closed for a huge part of the day with tickets emailed at the eleventh hour. If you can find a friend to read Italian you can save the expense of this dodgy business front.

The directions stated you could pick up the tickets the scheduled day of the ticket. There was no time assigned to the ticket date. It just stated to pick up between 9a-4p. We walk to the pick up spot around 1130/12 and the man inside stated he cannot help us. he stated we would have to wait for his boss to come back to get the tickets. He stated he would be there very soon. So we sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting while this man just talked on the phone the entire time. We were frustrated and didn't want to waste time so we said we would be back. We went and got lunch and came back around 1330. The boss was back, however he stated he couldn't give us tickets, because it closes at 2 that day. We were confused since it said to come before 4p. Then he stated that the attraction is open to 7 and you could go there and try and get tickets in person. So we walk to Castle Sant'Angelo, wait for like 3 minutes in line, pay like a 1/4 of the price of the skip the line ticket that we originally bought and got straight in. They need to have a better system in place. They wasted a lot of our time walking back and fourth for no reason. The only good thing was they were able to refund us.

hello, it's a long history, castal Santa Angelo it's an attractive place if they didn't give us an entry ticket then we informed clients and they can go there directly to buy them, and we also get a backfill refund, this is the process which you get back and goes there, we are selling this ticket every day without ant issue, your explanation is not clear in our end. we are sorry for the inconvenience.

Outright Lied to and Misled by this Tour company.

We actually never got to go to Castel D’Angelo. We booked for April 25th then got an email a few days before our trip to say the site wasn’t open that day and could we take a tour on the 26th instead. We already had another tour booked for the 26th and were leaving the next day, so we had no option but to say yes and hope to fit it in. However, we were at St. Peter’s on the 25th and walked along the river only to find Castel D’Angelo was definitely open on the 25th and the tour company had lied outright to us. We had been bumped for unknown reasons. We walked over to the tour office to request a ticket for the 25th but they could not change anything at that point. When the 26th rolled around, our tour that day was delayed by four hours meaning that we were unable to make our Castel D’Angelo tour. Do NOT BOOK WITH VIATOUR!!!!!

i definitely recommend buying the skip the line tickets. the line was huge. by the time we were done and leaving (spending probably two hours there), there was still a really really long line and it was almost closing time, so they weren't going to make it in. the castle was pretty great. lots of history included by the exhibits. beautiful views from the top, art in many of the rooms, old weapons, even canon balls. pretty neat experience.

Viator is a disappointment. Never again.

Unfortunately, buying through Viator was a mistake. The communication was inconsistent and over priced. It was not explained that the tickets needed to be picked up at a third party location or that the What's App was required for communication. Then a last minute email came in that the tickets could be downloaded but they wouldn't download. We lost a lot of our limited time. Ultimately, the staff at the Caster office approved us to go in with their own tickets, which happen to be less expensive. I will never use Viator again.

thanks for your explanation, we always mentioned in the voucher you have to come to collect a ticket to the office not go to the attraction directly, then we send ass well as a copy to the email, but if you cant download the voucher it's not our fault. i hope you understand the situation, our all travelers meet at the address o collect the voucher which is normal rules have to follow all the travelers.

Do not buy tickets. I showed up to receive my tickets and no one was there. I waited a little while because I’ve had a few tours that people show up late. I messaged the seller multiple times and called once with no answer and waited for 45 minutes, I tried to upload images of my messages but wouldn’t allow me. Staff pointed out different tour guides in front but none were the ones I purchased. I ended up paying more to get in. After I already paid and was inside the person tried to call me. I asked for a refund from viator since no one showed up and they said this purchase offers no refunds, I can understand if I didn’t want to go anymore or I didn’t show up no refunds but the seller didn't show up. This is absolutely disappointing in both viator and the seller of this.

Refund please

I booked tickets for Tuesday 19th April at 2.30….and the castle was closed…contacted your company was told it was closed today you could change my ticket to Wednesday told you no good as I was flying home to give me a refund….last thing I heard from you….I realise you may not have known it would be closed but I’d still like my £60 back
