Such a great experience! This was a shuttle and rental service, but our driver Diogo was so friendly and hilarious! He made the drive go by quickly and we had such fun conversations. The bay itself was great and Diogo gave lots of information about the wildlife and how to properly use the snorkel equipment. 10/10 would do again!

If you are not staying in Waikiki, a free parking lot is available at 2805 Monsarrat Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815. Please park there and walk to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel for shuttle pick-up. Be on time, as the shuttle will not wait for late arrivals. After booking, please contact Kaimana Tours to confirm your pick-up location and time. International travelers without a U.S. mobile number should provide their hotel room number. We will try to reach you 24 hours before your tour; if we cannot contact you, the shuttle may not be able to operate. Please wait outside of the hotel your pick-up was assigned to. The driver has multiple stops, so you may not be the first or last pick-up of the day. Allow a 5–10 minute window for arrival, and if the driver hasn’t arrived by then, please give us a call. ** Do not buy the park entrance before the tour—bring $25 per person in CASH REQUIRED.**

What To Expect

With multiple pickup points available to choose from, simply select the most convenient one for you and arrive at the departure time. Seamlessly travel from there to Hanauma Bay in comfortable transportation, getting on the shore without worrying about parking.

Arrive at the bay and take in the natural landscape. Then, get geared up with the provided snorkeling equipment and dive into a world of tropical fish. Take ample time to discover the coral reefs and vibrant marine life that are waiting beneath the waves at your own pace.

At the end of the day, relax during the transfer back to your original departure point.

We had such a great experience with our tour guide, Kevin Tu. He was very punctual when picking us up & dropping us off. We were the first one in the gates & one of the first ones to leave. He was also very informative & answered all our questions well. This being our first time snorkeling, it was such a memorable experience. 10/10 would recommend anyone who is planning to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. A tour is a must!

Amazing would highly recommend and even did to our hotel… on time pick up, great driver, great gear… even with an obnoxious large family that we had to wait on, the driver was professional and kind…

You’re better off driving yourself and renting gear from the place. It’s not a tour they just drop you off and you still have to pay admission. And they gave us bad snorkeling gear.

Hanauma Bay is gorgeous! Our driver was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. I saw probably ~30 fish total but some people didn’t find quite as many.

Very fun snorkling experience — we saw a lot of fish! Only complaint is that the equipment was not great quality, and the time at the beach was a bit too short. It said 8am to 1pm, but we were at the beach from apex 9 to 12:30. That said, our driver was nice and polite, all went smooth and we had a great time snorkeling at this beautiful site! Well worth the trip.

This company only provides a driver to the location and a pick up. There is no orientation to the beach, or group tour to this. You are able to rent chairs and umbrella's on the beach, which would have saved us taking them down and up on the trolley. Take the exact cash as correct change is not guaranteed. If I was to do this again, I would go on my own via Uber, when I checked prices when there, it was cheaper and would've given more freedom.

Getting there early when they opened meant waters clear and far less crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling and watching a local monk seal bask in the sun all morning.

Im sure this would have been nice if my wife hadn't double booked for the day that we had this. The driver called and asked if we were coming but we had to go with the other one he said the office would reach out to reschedule and they never did and wouldn't answer the phone.

We had an unforgettable experience snorkeling at Hanauma Bay in Honolulu! The crystal-clear water, colorful tropical fish, and beautiful coral reefs made it one of the highlights of our Hawaii vacation. Our kids had an amazing time and couldn’t stop smiling the entire day. It was both fun and breathtaking, and seeing so much marine life up close was something we’ll never forget. If you’re visiting Oahu, this is a must-do activity for the whole family. We highly recommend it and would definitely come back again. Thank you for such an incredible experience!

You can rent gear when you arrive. Wasn’t worth the money we paid. It wasn’t what I expected. Literally going to the beach with snorkeling gear. Meh. I think this was my tourist brain mistake.

More of a “taxi ride and skip the line” rather than a tour. They do provide transport, snorkel gear and guaranteed entry (a big deal since they sell out usually within 5 minutes of release daily). About the cost of an uber, but for each of your group. Perfect if you want a ride and guaranteed entry, pricey if not. Enjoyed the experience though.

The overall process was decent. But we had issues with the snorkeling gear. One of the snorkel mask had a broken lock so the breathing pipe kept falling. My snorkel mask had some issues with the lower mask grip so the water kept sipping in and I had to clean the mask frequently.

One of the best snorkeling experiences we’ve had! Keep in mind the coral is very close to the surface. Didn’t see sea turtles but lots of fish and even an octopus and an eel!

Me and my family had an amazing experience at Haunama Bay! We got there early so the tide was low and the water was perfect temperature! It was some of my kids first experience snorkeling and it didn’t disappoint! We saw tons of fish, including a small puffer fish and eels. Would definitely experience this again!

While marine life sightings can vary depending on the day, weather conditions, and where guests choose to snorkel, Hanauma Bay is widely recognized as one of Hawaii’s premier snorkeling destinations and is home to more than 400 species of marine life. To see the greatest variety of fish, guests typically need to swim out toward the reef areas, as the shallow shoreline sections often have fewer fish activity. We rarely receive complaints regarding the amount of marine life at the bay, as many visitors are able to enjoy excellent fish sightings throughout their visit. That said, we understand that every experience is unique, and we’re sorry that yours did not live up to your expectations.
