Great driver! Easy to access van/get dropped off. Beautiful. While at experience-take your own snacks/water bottles. Water/soda at snack bar- $7.00+ . Definitely a tourist attraction. Get there EARLY, as tickets sell out. Would do it again. Beautiful Beach

Amazing experience, driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hanauma bay was gorgeous. Van will pick you up and facilitate entrance to the park, and then you are free to explore until it comes back to pickup from the park and drops you off. Includes snorkel and fins, and they have other things available for rent.

If you are not staying in Waikiki, a free parking lot is available at 2805 Monsarrat Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815. Please park there and walk to the Queen Kapiolani Hotel for shuttle pick-up. Be on time, as the shuttle will not wait for late arrivals. After booking, please contact Kaimana Tours to confirm your pick-up location and time. International travelers without a U.S. mobile number should provide their hotel room number. We will try to reach you 24 hours before your tour; if we cannot contact you, the shuttle may not be able to operate. Please wait outside of the hotel your pick-up was assigned to. The driver has multiple stops, so you may not be the first or last pick-up of the day. Allow a 5–10 minute window for arrival, and if the driver hasn’t arrived by then, please give us a call. ** Do not buy the park entrance before the tour—bring $25 per person in CASH REQUIRED.**

What To Expect

With multiple pickup points available to choose from, simply select the most convenient one for you and arrive at the departure time. Seamlessly travel from there to Hanauma Bay in comfortable transportation, getting on the shore without worrying about parking.

Arrive at the bay and take in the natural landscape. Then, get geared up with the provided snorkeling equipment and dive into a world of tropical dish. Take ample time to discover the coral reefs and vibrant marine life that are waiting beneath the waves.

At the end of the day, relax during the transfer back to your original departure point.

We had such a great experience with our tour guide, Kevin Tu. He was very punctual when picking us up & dropping us off. We were the first one in the gates & one of the first ones to leave. He was also very informative & answered all our questions well. This being our first time snorkeling, it was such a memorable experience. 10/10 would recommend anyone who is planning to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay. A tour is a must!

Amazing experience! Face to face with tropical fish. The snorkel and mask they provided where very good. We even added a noodle floatie. We enjoyed having Martha as our driver too.

The experience is absolutely worth the cost. We had a great time on the beach. The weather in April is perfect. Stay away from the chicken strips and french fries!

We were unable to go due to heavy rains and the bay being closed for safety reasons. We were given a full refund but disappointed we didn’t have the chance to reschedule due to our schedule.

Don't expect to see even 1/10th of the hundreds of sea life as highlighted in the laminated cards that you read while on the van. That is unless you venture out beyond the inner area, where 99% of the people are. Anything outside of that will be quite a swim out and not recommended by the guide and lifeguards unless you are a strong swimmer. This is nothing against the tour operator just a fact of the bay. If you aren't used to snorkeling or have young kids, consider buying your own full face snorkel. Those cannot be rented as it's a safety risk, but, it's less exhausting on the jaw, especially for younger ones. Our driver was friendly and informative. Take Dramamine if you are sensitive for motion sickness. The current and waves were a little rough when we were there 4/18/2026. Coming back to shore after the 5th swim out, I was starting to get nauseous and dizzy, the waves on the surface can't knock you around a little.

The actual snorkeling location was great and my driver was great! However my snorkel gear did not meet my expectations and was given to me threaded incorrectly, so I had to spend 30 minutes trying to fix my mask myself which I did not know how to do and a local snooker had to re thread it for 10 minutes. My goggles were also fogging up, so the local snorkeler provided my with anti-fog which fixed the issue. Very disappointed the gear was not given to me threaded correctly and properly anti fogged

The entrance ticket $25 is NOT included. The tour is only until 12pm (you can only stay at Hanauma bay for few hours). We wanted to stay longer so we paid for Uber back home

The beach is beautiful and the van is prompt. The snorkel gear is solid. Glad I didn’t have to take a risk at not getting a spot, since they are so limited. I only wish we could have stayed out a little longer.

This was a fun experience to do with the family. Our driver arrived on time, was friendly and provided us with all the information we needed before entering for the day. Best to arrive early. There is an orientation before you are allowed down to the beach which can take up to 30 minutes (with wait times). Beautiful beach with a beautiful background of the mountains.

Aloha, Unfortunately we can’t control when the State decides to shut down the Bay. The water wasn’t in the proper conditions for snorkeling despite the sunny day. It accumulated dirty water from the recent rainfall. We understand this can be frustrating but there was nothing we could do about it.

The Bay is gorgeous and snorkeling is the only way to swim in it because the reef is too close to the surface for regular swimming. Navigating the reef is a fun challenge, and there are many, many types of beautiful fish to encounter. Using Viator smoothed the entry process which was very helpful for first time visitors.

Hanauma Bay is absolutely beautiful. The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling was incredible. It is easily one of the most stunning places I have ever been to. What truly made this experience stand out was our tour guide Diogo. From the moment we met him, his energy was amazing. He was kind, funny, and so genuine. He kept us entertained the entire time, shared stories about his life and experiences, and made everyone feel comfortable and excited. He also went above and beyond by giving us great local food recommendations and even bringing us to a spot that felt authentic and not touristy at all. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with someone who really cared about us having a great time. His presence and personality made the whole experience even better. I have been on a lot of tours and I can honestly say he is the best guide I have ever had. If you are booking this experience, ask for Diogo. Trust me.

The transit was punctual, the driver was helpful with good information prior to arrival. The area was some of the most beautiful in Hawaii and I would call this activity a "must do" while in Oahu.

Driver was really nice, the area was beautiful. The issue was the snorkel gear. It didn't work and we ended up taking in water and unable to snorkel. The umbrella I rented was broken and unuseable. They did credit me for that. It's better to rent your own gear and take a Lyft.

Everything worked out as it planned. I wish to see more tropical fish but it was a fun experience. Nice to get a rental snorkeling gear and it is better to bring your own mini tent for a shade.

Nice safe bay lots of fish!!! They made it easy with the pick up and drop off. If you want to stay all day take a Lyft or the trolley instead and rent everything when you get there.

It is a great way to visit the Bay. They take care of taking you there, providing snorkeling equipment and rent other items like chairs, etc… very good quality and punctual. Lots of info too.

Horrible customer service!!

I would never recommend this horrible company to anyone. I had booked snorkeling for my son and I. He ended up getting sick the day before and I called and asked if I could have a refund and they said NO. Then I asked for a voucher for possibly another time if we were to come again and they said NO to that. They said to let them know by 9:00 pm that night. I would assume because they wanted to double book and line someone else up. I told them I would let them know in the am. Well my son was still sick and we didn’t go. This company didn’t care at all. It’s all about money!! The customer service was horrible in telling me when to let them know by and just nasty!! I wish them a lot of luck in staying in business. In this day and age businesses like this will go under without good customer service

Aloha Jill, We’re sorry to hear your son wasn’t feeling well, and we understand how that can affect your plans. As noted in our booking policy, changes or cancellations must be made before our cutoff time so we have an opportunity to adjust schedules and fill reserved spots. Since we were notified about 4 hours before closing for the following day’s tour, we were unfortunately unable to resell the seats or accommodate a last-minute change. We had also requested confirmation by 9:00 PM to avoid sending our driver unnecessarily, but we did not receive a follow-up response. So he did go there to pick you up and you didn’t respond to any of our messages. Additionally, as your son is an adult, the reservation could still have been used, but we understand you chose not to attend. While we weren’t able to offer a refund or reschedule under these circumstances, we did extend a discount for a future booking as a gesture of goodwill.

If you don’t plan to rent a car in Oahu and want to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, this is the best option. The drivers are professional, and the equipment provided is excellent.

The Hanauma Bay Park was beautiful and the snorkeling was unbelievable! Pleasantly surprised there was a shuttle down to the bay from the ticketing area! If I lived here I'd visit every week!!
