Peter always let us know where to be on the boat to avoid the big spray. Joanna was a pro in the water with us. I was a little hesitant and she encouraged me and helped me every step of the way. So grateful for the experience. They both provided us with information and history along the way I hope you go, you will not be disappointed.

This was a fun experience. We had a great time and felt like it was well worth it.
Would definitely recommend but if you aren't a strong swimmer, have mobility issues that keep you from moving quickly, or you have never snorkeled before I'd recommend something a little slower paced.

Lots of wildlife to see on this trip! We saw two kids of dolphins two pods of whales. Lots of fish and of course huge turtles. Guides ( Peter and Joanne) were so helpful and skilled. Joanne had all our fins back on the boat while we loaded from the water on the ladder on the boat. Let knew a lot about O'ahu , different fish we saw and spotted fish from far away to go take a look at.

We had a lovely time with Koa and Kaiden (if I botched the spelling, I’m sorry!!). They were so knowledgeable and made the experience tons of fun. We got to see bottlenose dolphins and a sea turtle up close from the boat! The dolphins were feeling introverted when we went out, so we didn’t get to swim with them. We did get to snorkle with some big, colorful fish!! I loved how our crew paid attention to the dolphin’s behavior and the pod size to ensure we weren’t going to stress them out! They were extremely respectful to all the wildlife, which was one of the most important things to me.
I was a first-time snorkeler, and there was a bit of a learning curve. The team was very patient and taught me to use the equipment on the spot, but in hindsight I wish I had done an intro snorkel in calmer, shallower waters first. When the dolphins are nearby you have to hop in the water super fast, so you don’t miss your opportunity, which can be a little overwhelming for a newbie.
All in all, we had a great time! One of the highlights of our trip.

Don’t waste your money. I spent the extra for a small group experience. The girls on the boat were great. Not their fault. We were told the earlier in the day the better chance to swim with ocean life. We booked 0730. The night before we got a text that there weren’t enough people and we had to switch to 1030. When we got on the boat, the other couple said they were told the same thing and they were scheduled for 0730 too!!! Underhanded dealings! Needless to say, didn’t swim with one dolphin! The girls did their best! They looked and looked, we did snorkel with turtles, but I didn’t pay 200$ a person to swim with a turtle. I get it’s not guaranteed, it’s nature…. But the reviews spoke otherwise and the thought that if we did go at 0730 we may have been able to haunts me to today. They did offer to go again at half price, but a little too late.

You know passion when you see it, these girls are in love with marine wildlife and they go out of their way to make this a great experience. I swam with 4 turtles and saw so many dolphins, and learned about how they communicate in their sleep and the use of their brain, this is a great tour folks, don't hesitate.

It's was awesome! Unfortunately, the only downside was we purchased pictures and videos from Makoa, who never sent us the pictures nor would he answer the phone when we tried to call. So $50 plus tip was lost. Other than that it was great!!

This tour was amazing! We found dolphins so quickly (may not happen all the time, but we got lucky!) Obviously they do not control the animals or conditions but they did their best to give us a high quality experience. The captain/crew were amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We went on a different dolphin tour last year and Aloha Ocean was so much better!!
Their boat is also very comfy. Semi private tours are the way to go! Much better than a giant group.
Seriously cannot recommend this tour enough!!

This tour was absolutely amazing! We loved that it was a small group. It made the whole experience feel really personal. Shanti and Brooke were incredibly passionate about what they do and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. Swimming alongside dolphins and sea turtles in such a beautiful setting was truly unforgettable. I’ll definitely be recommending this tour company to any friends or family visiting Oahu!

Shanti and Brooke were amazing tour guides! They made our experience unforgettable. We had a beautiful swim with dolphins, actually, we saw 2 different species of them. We didn't swim with the Spinner dolphins, but we did get within a safe distance on the boat. I got some beautiful photos of them in the ocean. We told them about our son's passing and his love for Sea Turtles. They made sure our experience with the turtles was perfect. We can't recommend this tour enough. 💜

Excellent tour. The crew was great. You can get pics/videos for a reasonable fee. The surf was rough, but we still got to get in a couple times and see some dolphins up close. Saw sea turtles at the end of the tour too.

This is going to be short but sweet. This adventure was so much fun and amazing! We signed up for the semi-private tour which had six guests and two crew members. Our guides, Captain Stephan and Brooke were fantastic. They were extremely knowledgeable about the ocean and local marine life, and were kind and treated us with warmth that you’d expect from close friends. The boat was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. On our dives we saw everything we expected and more. The crew even recommended a nice local spot that we had lunch at afterwards. This tour was a highlight of our vacation and I’d highly recommend it.

This was the BEST excursion we have ever done in Oahu. Stefan and Koa led us to see a couple of different species of dolphins (up close and personal) which was so Amazing! There were also multiple drop points, so we saw several pods of dolphins. They made a big effort to help my son feel comfortable in the water and provided an unforgettable experience. We also saw sea turtles, an octopus, an eagle ray, and several species of fish.
The semi private tour was a huge plus and allowed a more personal touch to the whole experience. Thank you guys for a great time!

What an incredible trip! Swam with dolphins (twice!), turtles and fish over coral reefs. Beautiful day and the guides were fantastic from start to finish. Highly recommend - it’s a more personal and custom small group experience (group of 7). Memories to last a lifetime!

This was such an amazing tour, out in the deep blue sea you could see straight to the bottom our guides did an amazing job captain stef and koa did an absolute amazing job! Will definitely do it again with there tour service! Dolphins seals and turtles and tons of beautiful fish!

Morgan and Shanti were great! Our family went out on a day of big swells, but we successfully saw dolphins, a humpback whale, and sea turtles. We felt safe the entire time, and Morgan did a great job of getting us in the water with a pod of juvenile dolphins. One of our group got sick, and Shanti was great to cut the tour a little short to get him back to land. We would definitely go again.

If you are planning a trip to Hawaii definitely keep Aloha Ocean Tours in mind. We did a semi-private tour and it was nothing short of amazing. We had Lauren and Shelly as our guides. They were both so helpful, educational and polite. All around amazing!
They were great with our toddler and helped so much when we were jumping into the Ocean for each adventure. We’ve swam with dolpins before in tanks but never out in the wild, in the open waters. This was something new for us and we couldn’t wait!!! The crew made sure of our daughters safety along with everyone else’s as well! Can’t lie staring out onto all that blue open water, I was like okay here we go. Not going to lie when we jumped in we were are like “oh geez what are we gonna see” haha. The sweetest part our guide said she had never seen anything like this before that usually once folks jump in the baby dolphins swim away well I guess when they saw our daughter they said “one of us, one of us” haha and swam towards her out of curiosity! We didn’t get any pics from the dolphin swim but wouldn’t have had it any other way it was literally us soaking it all in, living in that moment.
On top of the dolphin swim & seeing many beautiful sea turtles. The ladies topped it off by also finding us some humpback whales that we got to have some once in a lifetime close encounters with.
It was all around amazingly beautiful & thrilling to say the least. I could go on and on but I definitely would recommend them 100x to any and everyone! Having a semi-private tour I believe was more personal than booking with other companies with larger groups. Well worth it! Loved every second of it.

This was a great dolphin swim tour with Shantii and Parker. They were very friendly and made sure we had a great time. We were able to snorkel with a large pod of pilot whales.

Me can’t say enough about the experience we had. The all female crew were so wonderful with the kids. Cruising out into the gorgeous open waters, spotting dolphins jumping 15-20ft out of the water. The guide helped us find the dolphins in the water, while the captain kept us close and quickly got us back in the boat and chasing more dolphins. This was the coolest experience for us all! We are so grateful to swim with wild dolphins in the ocean.

Incredible once in a lifetime experience. Lauren and Rebecca made us feel comfortable and right at home. We got to see lots of dolphins, turtles and even some whales! The semi private experience allowed us to get some awesome photos and videos with our go pro. Highly recommend!
