We drove from Waikiki to attend this luau with our kids and it was absolutely worth it. It was entertaining and engaging, the food was delicious, and it was exactly the right length.
We went a few hours early to walk to the waterfall. The kids love swimming in it, that alone was worth the trip.

Excellent-we had an amazing time! This is more than a luau…it’s family, culture, beauty, nature, delicious food, and fun wrapped into an event! Remember to go early and wear casual clothes over your swimsuit. Make your way down to the waterfall but don’t miss the amazing flora and fauna on the way. Read all that you can. Soak up the beauty. When you get to the waterfall, go in. Don’t skip it thinking you’ll mess up your hair for dinner-just so it. It’s so refreshing and fun! Make your way back to your car when done, grab the clothes you want to wear to the luau and change in the restroom. We went 2.5 hours early from the start of our luau since admittance to the lands are included and could easily have spent another hour or two wandering around. The luau is amazing. The host is wonderful and the dancers and musicians were magical. Dinner was hearty and we left with full belies and hearts. 10/10 recommend.

Great experience, everyone was so friendly and the events prior to the luau were informative and fun. The food was amazing and the dancing was fun to watch. The MC did a great job with keeping everyone entertained.

Great time and experience. Highly recommend. Included admission to Waimea Valley was also fantastic. Customer service was very helpful when I needed it.

My experience was great from the moment I arrived until the end. The dancing was spectacular and food was delicious.

Had a great time. For meat lovers, I’d highly recommend the steak platter while you wait outside before the show starts.

It is outside and hot and humid so dont bither doing your hair ladies! The food was AMAZING! Show was incredible. Learned alot from the MC, CE! Met great people. We did not rent a car for our 4 day stay it was pretty expensive. Most of our tours had pick up inlcuded so we prescheduled ubers there and back 60-80$ each way

This was a great experience - we really enjoyed the experience. I would say if you’re spending money and looking for an authentic experience to book this one. The food and drinks were delicious and the performers and staff did a wonderful job with the shows and the setting is just amazing being in the Waimea Valley.

The crew and hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. I appreciated learning and experiencing the true traditions of Hawaiian culture. If you’re looking for no corners cut in a in depth experience this is the right one for you. I wish the fire show was longer, and that the experience was more interactive throughout the performances, but I understand that takes away from the tradition.

I searched for quite a while for a luau that was both budget friendly & appeared to be great quality. This one did not disappoint! Food was great! Show was great! All the extra cultural activities were fun, informative & hands on! The MC did a fantastic job & kept us entertained the whole time. The Waimea Valley Gardens were absolutely beautiful & the Falls & swimming hole were an added adventure for my husband & 9 year old boy! And after a negative experience at another luau on the island, I hands down recommend The Toa Luau!!

We had a great experience at the Toa Luau! We chose this one because many reviews said it did a good job of explaining the history and culture of the different Polynesian islands and it definitely did not disappoint! We chose to do the VIP package which gave us front row seats to the show. The MC and performers were entertaining and fun! It rained a bit on the day we saw our show so some of the interactive/educational parts had to be moved inside. Nevertheless it was a great experience with good (and plenty!) food, drinks, and historical/cultural information. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a luau on the north shore that’s not just a touristy resort show.

Brilliant evening. View was good even from silver seating as venue wasn’t as big as expected. Other activities also fun and entry to the waterfalls earlier in the day was a great addition. Food was plated and very yummy.
Anita_L, Jul 2026
Come early enough to visit gift shop. It will be closed after the event.
All the seats are good to see the show.
Scott_L, Jul 2026
Arrive early to enjoy the park and waterfall. Be prepared to participate with the staff and do not be afraid to engage in all encompasing conversation. They are very friendly and open to answering any questions that you have.

The experience was authentic and well planned. Activities before helped all of us appreciate the culture. Food was delicious!
Sandra_A, Jul 2026
This was a complete experience, from the pre-show which included Hawaiian games, coconut husking and coconut tree climbing to the delicious food which was served to you rather than buffet style. Not to mention the fantastic Hawaiian show that included Polynesian dancing, comedy and fire dancing. We have been to the Paradise Cove luau twice which we enjoyed but this Tao Luau blew it away. Also this luau was presented by an Hawaiian family which greeted you, prepared the food, served you, performed in the demonstrations and danced in the show. What more can you ask for?

Absolutely amazing. Food was delicious. The activities were wonderful for kids and families. The performers were great and the explanation of all the different islands and their unique dances and culture was fantastic. We loved everything. Important to arrive a couple hours early if you want to walk to the waterfall and tour the botanical garden. Everyone involved in the production were so friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend!!! Best Luau I have ever been to.
David_B, Jul 2026
Great show, friendly staff, very good food. The staff hung out to talk and take pictures for at least thirty minutes after the show.

This was such an amazing way to spend our last day in Oahu. The scenery of the botanical garden and the trail to the waterfall was just amazing. My family and o enjoyed the show and the food was great. The Mc cousin lima was just amazing and the show great.
Isam_A, Jul 2026
This experience also comes with entry to Wamiea Valley where you can swim under a waterfall.
The luau staff were incredible. They taught us about their culture, served our food, and then performed the dances. The costumes and dancing were amazing. The food was delicious, and the staff offered seconds. We would do this show again!
Amanda_N, Jul 2026
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and absolutely loved this experience! Best luau. The staff were super friendly and so knowledgeable about the culture. We loved how the hike and waterfall admission was included- so worth it!
Josephine_L, Jul 2026
Awesome show and great hospitality! The overall environment was extremely welcoming and relaxing. They had great food and a very nice show. We learned so much! The performers and host seemed so genuine.
Carolyn_C, Jul 2026
This was not just a Luau it was a hands on cultural experience! Every single person was so kind, helpful, informative and beyond entertaining! The show was something I will never forget, there energy was electric and so much fun also included some audience participation which was a blast! Oh and the food was delicious and ample with them offering seconds of you wanted but it was not needed. This is a family friendly environment but also great for couples. I give this LUAO 100%, it is worth every penny ( and a generous tip which is well earned!)

This event was amazing. I've heard of Luaus and have maybe seen one on TV but nothing compares to this experience! The food was amazing. The show is Oscar worthy. This was far my favorite experience in Hawaii. Unforgettable and so hospitable. I definitely would recommend this to family and friends! 10 out of 10!
Linda_M, Jul 2026
Great experience in a beautiful location! We got to explore the botanical garden before the luau which was an added bonus. The food was excellent and the cultural activities and entertainment were fun and engaging. Highly recommend!
Jennifer_W, Jul 2026
This luau has been one of our favorites when staying on north shore. The food, demos and show was again spot on. The staff is so friendly and professional and always willing to go the extra mile. They also know how to bring the fun so sit back and enjoy the history and culture of the Polynesian islands.
