The Waianae Small Boat Harbor is located on the west coast of Oahu (1 hour from Waikiki). If you are driving, please arrive 30 minutes before the tour time and check-in at the brown double-story building that faces the harbor. The crew will check you in and give you an overview of the day!

Read careful No guarantee swim with dolphins if no doubles you can try again at 50% off which is crazy You have to request a glass of water and when they are bust you do without bring water if you go and be aware you may or may not swim with dolphins and/or turtles grandkids kids and i very very disappointed can see same amount of fish at any beach snorkeling have swam with dolphins in Oahu before Wish I could recall the companies we used in past so we didn’t come home with three very disappointed grandchildren

It is well worth the money. The staff is very well trained and very accommodating. I know they say they leave at 5 PM sharp but you got about 510 minutes after that to get there no longer than that. We saw many dolphins turtles even whales If I had one thing I would like to change it would be the music on board. I don’t want the sunset cruise, but there was alcohol being served, and it would’ve been nice to hear some dance music as opposed to the Hawaiian soft music other than that, everything was perfect

Dolphin snorkel and swim review

I booked this experience mainly because my mom has always wanted to see and swim with dolphins in the wild. We were all a little nervous prior to boarding the boat just knowing we were going to be swimming in the open water, but all of the staff made us feel so comfortable and confident in our abilities to complete this excursion. The views were incredible and we were able to see so many pods of dolphins from the boat as well as from the water. This was definitely a highlight of our trip and that was all thanks to the amazing staff for making it possible.

Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo to Team Poseidon! The most amazing 4 hrs at Oahu's western coastline. We were able to see a pod of spinner dolphins within 5mins of cruising. After a while, we were informed of spotting pilot whales by the direction we are heading to, we had the 1st/2nd jump off the ocean and they say these massive creatures (big in size after orca's) seldom show up. The crew ---Elena, Traviz, Hayato, Brooke, Abby, Jerome, Shanty and Matt (i hope i got all their names correct) were all professional, guides and helps you all the way, and keep everyone safe and ensures to enjoy every moment onboard. They feed you infos that are all useful, please listen on the safety instructions and ensure to respect the wildlife. Don't bring bananas, as they have this superstition that it will bring bad luck onboard. 3part will be the snorkeling, see the turtles and colorful fishes as well as enjoy other water activities such as the paddle boards and water slide. thank you for this wonderful experience Clap clap clap!!!

Disappointing all around

The whole experience felt very rushed. We spent more time on the bus and boat than in the water. Worst of all, we didn't even get to swim with the dolphins, which was why we chose this tour. We were told there would be 2-3 chances to get in the water with the dolphins and that only experienced snorkelers could go in the first time. Being rookie snorkelers, we had to stay and watch the dolphins from the boat. Instead of doing more dolphin swims like they said we would, they went straight to snorkeling with the turtles. We only saw the dolphins briefly from the boat, which was not the tour we paid for. We didn't spend very long snorkeling with the turtles and doing the other activities either. The guides were friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable, but they laid it on thick when it came to the upsells (wetsuits and photo package) and tipping.

They did find a few dolphins, but not very many. Maybe 10 or 12 that we only saw for about 45 seconds. They ran the tour like you are in the Army. We’re on vacation, don’t order us around like we’re Privates in the Army. The Skippers First Mate yelled the entire time. Very uneasy. I’ve been on over two dozen similar tours and I’ve never been treated like that. Would not recommend this tour.

Epic Fail: Viator failed to tell us when to arrive at the right time

Terrible, a New Year’s Eve disaster. Viator e-mail told me pick up was 7:30am….it was 5:30am. They moved us to a later tour, but failed to mention it was dolphin watching…NOT swimming with dolphins like the original tour I paid $1000 for.

Great day with dolphins

A great day out with heaps of wildlife. I enjoyed myself as we got to get in the water with dolphins. The snorkelling spot was great and there was a turtle. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable. They were so excited to see the animals and took safety seriously. Great things to know: I would say the boat isn’t designed for swell at all. If you ever get sea sickness or even car sickness, take medication prior! It was a pretty smooth day and there were a lot of people puking and very sick. I’ve cruised in open oceans that felt calmer. The boat will rock with every bit of movement. The swimming with the dolphin component. BE READY! You need to jump from the boat moving and get swimming quietly and quickly. It’s not for the faint hearted. It was 100% worth it and this chaos is communicated well.

Dolphins and turtles

Hi I got my wish after many years to see dolphins in their natural environment (twice!) and also to see a baby turtle. The trip was good, but not for the fate hearty. I had to go upstairs on the boat as there was quite a few people being sick and due to a large number of non-English speaker on the boat felt a bit excluded (the company was good as their was an interpretar on board). The crew were really on it in more ways than one!

Great trip this first thing morning with my 13 year old twins. The transportation to/from our hotel was on time and comfortable. The boat/crew were professional and attentive. We started off with a traditional prayer and flower offering to the sea - and the sea provided in abundance. We were fortunate to spot dolphins pretty quickly into the trip, so the crew quickly got the group kitted up and ushered us into the sea. We saw dozens of dolphins over 2 visits into the sea - it’s was amazing. We then went into the snorkelling area and again wasn’t disappointed. We saw a number of turtles - one which swam right upto the boat and lots of sealife. There was plenty to do, including paddle boarding, a climbing wall and slide. The kids had so much fun and the crew interacted with us and got involved in the fun. Although there are a lot of people on the boat, it was well worth it.

I’ve been to Hawaii over a dozen times and I usually try to do some sort of snorkel tour whenever I go. This tour caught my eye because if offered swimming with dolphins as well as with exotic fish and sea turtles. I was not prepared for how epic this trip was going to be! The crew does a really great job in preparing you for the day’s events. It felt a little rushed in the beginning but it’s because there is a narrow window to be able to get everyone into the water to see the dolphins as they swim by. We were very fortunate that we had Sasha as our captain on our trip because she made sure everyone had a chance to see dolphins. We stopped to swim with the dolphins three times! I think we saw at least 20 dolphins that day. Our photographer also took some amazing pictures as well that help recreate the experience whenever I look at them. The crew was so personable and helpful, you can tell how proud they are of their work. I highly recommend this tour and am forever grateful for setting the bar for all sea excursions in Hawaii! Every staff member was great. They could not do enough to make our tour wonderful. All was friendly and helpful. They explained everything we needed to know before going in the water. And made it a point to check on all of us in the water. There was always a smile on all there faces. I am SOOOO glad we picked that tour to go on.

Wonderful crew! Definitely watching Dolphins swim beside the boat and directly under me was an experience in itself- The Sea Turtles and all the beautiful fish during the snorkeling part was wild just because they literally came up and hung out beside us like nothing... and it felt like I was literally in a giant fish tank! Wish for a calmer clear day

Today the wind made the ride very bumpy and several people were seasick. Majority of time was spent looking for dolphins and we saw a couple of them but barely. Then we went back to bay near the harbor and there we watched spinner dolphins for about 15 minutes. We did some snorkeling around the rocks but it was difficult to see. I saw one turtle. All in all this trip was just hours of riding on a boat over turbulent ocean while watching people get sick. Bad windy weather day. The crew were great.
