We booked our tickets online, but the experience was very disappointing. The boat was old and not well maintained. It was extremely hot on board, especially on the first floor in the enclosed area where there was no air conditioning at all. Even the restroom was unbearably hot, like a sauna. Overall, the trip was very uncomfortable and did not meet our expectations.

I booked the non pirate ship option at 3:30pm but when I arrived I realized they had given me the wrong information. They sent me to the wrong side of the dock so had my elderly parents walking in the heat back and forth and then when we finally found the right spot it turns out it was the pirate ship version which is smaller and we ended up standing because we were one of the last people to board because we were sent to the wrong side.

Due to the World Cup activity in the area, we understand that locating the meeting point may have been more challenging than usual. However, our vessels are never overbooked, and every guest has a seat onboard.

We had booked a different boat tour on arrival we were told we had to go on the pirate boat, which isn’t the one we booked. The local attendant was rude any un helpful.

We specifically did not choose the pirate ship tour. Upon arrival we’re told the only ship for 11:30 am is a pirate ship which we really didn’t want. The girl at check in told us to stand to the side and she would let us know where to line up and when to get in line. She left us on the side and forgot about us and we realized a long line had already formed. We asked if there was any way we could board first since we had checked in before all those people and she said no. After asking again she finally said yes so we went to the bottom of the stairs and the tour guide dressed in the pirate costume began letting several people in before us. We were finally able to get his attention and advised him we were told we would be able to go first especially considering we were with an infant and and wanted to be able to get settled with the stroller and so our family could sit together as why we were the only ones who arrived 30 minutes before the tour as advised in the instructions. The tour guides answer to us was “and why didn’t you guys say anything until now???” Super rude and making it seem like it was our fault and then proceeded to let a group of 15 men before us. We called his attention again and finally let us in with an attitude. We ended up enjoying the tour itself and didn’t mind the pirate ship. The captain helped us load the stroller into the ship and we really appreciated that.

Read the fine print. Cant get a refund if they reschedule your tour for another time. If you have all day not a problem but dont count on them to maintain their schedule

This sightseeing tour was amazing like I got to learn who home that was built on a beautiful island and it’s cost. This was a great experience. The host on tour she was bilingual and she did a great job extremely fluent in both English and Spanish. She had a down pack no hiccups no nothing, I do recommend and book.

The trip itself was ok, staff onboard good and clear explanations in English and Spanish were helpful.
However, it was a bit disorganised and misleading. Not sure who is to blame, Viator or the boat company. The booking said it was for 5.30pm, when I arrived about 20 early at the ticket desk, no one there, I had to ask what to do, I was told there was another desk nearby. I found that one and explained what happened, they told me boat trip will start around 6.30pm. Poor directions given to us where to get the boat and the staff member at the marina insisted that correct time was 6.30pm. I told her we were told 5.30pk when I made the booking online. As a result I had to rearrange all my evening plans for this. Getting onboard was also slow keeping all passengers waiting in the sunshine which was intense. A bit frustrating and poor communication about the booking. It should be made clearer. I didn’t leave a tip because of this as overall it wasn’t justified. I will say staff onboard were fine.

It is a one hour boat ride if you don’t speak Spanish. The tour is supposed to be bilingual, but the guide’s “English” sounds just like his Spanish.

The trip was great. The narrator was bi lingual and changed from English to Spanish without hesitation. We took the 7:30 trip and were about 15 minutes late in departure. However the delay allowed us more time to see the city after the sun went down.
The only negative is that the directions on where to board on the Viator site are incorrect.

We didn't appreciate being REQUIRED to have our picture taken even when we said we'd rather not. Boat was rickety, noisy, and marginally clean. Host/guide seemed friendly enough, but his English wasn't great. I regularly interact with English speakers of other languages, so I don't expect perfection, but we could barely understand him. He needs to slow WAY down, and you need a sound system that reaches the people sitting outside in the rear of the boat.

Camillo, the narrator, was good. Trip was advertised at 1 hr and 20 minutes, but we left 15 minutes late and got in early. Total was under an hour, but it was not a big deal. People should know that the cost is $5 less at the dock, pictures are mandatory, but you don’t have to buy, and the”raffle” is a chance to hear a time share presentation. Otherwise is was pleasant and fun and I would do it again

We couldn’t board until after 630 and then we were had to have a pic taken which we were told was for security (lie) when in fact it was for the option to buy it . We didn’t leave the dock until 640 and came back on less than an hour - even though it was advertised 1.5-2 hours. We felt the tour was rushed as we drove by the celebrity houses very quickly . The bar tender was very slow - thank goodness it wasn’t too busy.

Our check‑in experience was frustrating. The staff member seemed distracted, frequently checking his phone and eating, and communication was difficult. Despite arriving an hour early, we were told to wait in the sun and later directed to another line. When I asked for help, the response was dismissive. Unfortunately, this made the experience less enjoyable, and I wouldn’t recommend it—especially since it cost $30 on Viator compared to $25 at the gate.

Scheduled online thru viator for Miami Aqua Sightseeing Boat Tour for 11:30 a.m. received vouchers via email and text saying to get there 30 minutes early and boarding would start 15 minutes prior to tour. Apparently no 11:30 a.m. tour occurred. Was told on-site by tour guide selling tickets 12:30 p.m. was the earliest. So we walked around and lined up to board around noon. At 12:25 p m. They started boarding only our vouchers would not scan. We weren't on their manifest so we waited along time as they boarded printed tickets first..even though we were 3rd in line. Very frustrating...they ended up orbiting us tickets to get us boarded. So basically 2+ hours waiting for a one hour boat tour. Hot and tired by that time. Tour itself was fine but only lasted one hour rather than the one hour and 20 minutes advertised. Basically, if you book this tour I would recommend you buy your tickets on site at one of their kiosks and eliminate the hassle that we went through.

Lina did an excellent job with the tour. She is bilingual and had to keep going from English to Spanish. She was fun and played good music. She was knowledgeable about the mansions and the history of Miami. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves.

We booked 11:30 am. We we arrived we looked for the kiosk to see where we needed to be. Upon finding it there was a worker there who was quite rude and just said down the stairs. We went and there was no one there. Went back to kiosk and he was gone. 11:30 came and went. Finally he returned and acted like I was bothering him. We were concerned we were scammed. Finally discovered 11:30 was canceled and it would now be 12:30. Had he just told us this we could have enjoyed that hour having food or drinks instead we were wondering around looking for information feeling stressed. Ruined the experience for us. The boat ride was fine not good or bad just fine. Really would have been nicer if we didn’t spend an hour being stressed trying to get information. Also, tried calling the company, went straight to voicemail! Poor business to deal with. I would avoid and purchase tickets in person from another dealer.
