Great Way to Get an Overview of Miami

Great view of .Miami. the headset taping is so informative! Easy to get on and off the bus. I highly recommend any new comers to the area to experience thia bus!

Very poor commentary

The commentary on the bus was awful and very poorly thought out we passed many old interesting looking buildings but rather than tell us about them, we were told about the new one next door or which celebrities had bought properties nearby and how much they had paid.

We have to wait a long time to get on the lady at the little havanna wasn’t helpful and she didn’t know what time the next bus will arrive she was talking on the phone all the time no interest in costumers

Run-don’t take Big Red Bus in Miami

The Miami bus was the worst big red ever. It oversells tickets and very view buses run. It is a complete rip off. It should limit tickets sold. Buses rarely come and if they do they are totally filled. The one that just went by mid beach had people standing. We got on a bus yesterday. The audio was broken and the air did not work. Do not take this hop on hop off bus. I usually give great reviews and have taken the bus in many states and countries and never had such a bad experience. I have heard first hand that this is not an isolated situation in Miami and happens over and over again. Run. Choose better. I really think it should refund people for a total bait and switch product.

The ticket purchased, clearly specified that this option included the hop on, hop off and cruise. When we went to claim the cruise portion we were informed the cruise was not included and we would need to speak with Viator. We contacted Viator multiple times to make it right. They advised us that the cruise was not part of our ticket, regardless of the ticket saying it was and were not willing to do anything to correct the issue. This is unfortunate as we are frequent travellers and have used Viator in the past, as well as referred friends but will likely reconsider using them in the future. The hop on, hop off itself was good, and recommended.

Great, but got stuck in traffic

Overall, good experience. We were able to jump on a morning bus leaving the Bayside Marketplace without any problems. We rode the entire route to get a good feel for the city and it took us about two and a half hours. Then we jumped on another bus to strategically get off on stop #2 to spend several hours at South Beach. At the end of the afternoon, we jumped back on a bus to return to Bayside Marketplace. Unfortunately, at no fault of the bus, there was an accident on the bridge and we sat on the bus with little AC for over 2 hours. We finally got off the bus and walked back to the spot where we got on the bus (a 20 minute walk) in order to make a dinner reservation. Only wish was for better air conditioning on the lower level inside area when one needs a break from sitting up top in the sun.

Great way to see more of Miami

Miami isn’t really walkable so the Hop on Hop Off bus was a great was to see a lot of areas we wouldn’t have. It has an audio part to the tour. That was nice to listen to and hear some of the history. It ended a little early at 4 pm. So, I suggest getting started early.

Easy way to get around....

Easy way to get around. We just used it to hear about the area and only got off at Little Havana. If staying in the area, I would have gotten it for the 48 hours. Our driver was a bit slow going once lights turned green. We are not sure if it was the vehicle or the driver.

Misleading and Deceptive Listing – Would Give Zero Stars If Possible

Please be aware of this scam. The tour I purchased was clearly titled: “Miami: Hop-on Hop-off Tour + Cruise & Free 1-Hour Bike Rental.” Based on that description, it is completely reasonable to expect that both the cruise and the bike rental are included in the price. However, after arriving at the port, I was informed that the cruise was not included. The bike rental was also not included, despite the title explicitly stating otherwise. This is extremely misleading and deceptive. The wording of the listing is clearly designed to make customers believe they are purchasing a package that includes these features, when in reality they are not provided. I would give this company zero stars if that were an option. I strongly advise others to be cautious before booking.

The bus takes you to all the stops but it does not go through Ocean drive in Southbeach. The buses here in Miami don’t run on the half hour, they either are late or early and I noticed several ppl missed it so it was a bit chaotic regarding scheduling. Once you hop off the bus, it’s hard to get a sit at the top. We got stuck on the lower level and it was very hot, stuffy and uncomfortable. We were on a tight schedule and ended up getting an uber to our next destination because the bus schedule is chaotic. Not on the half hour like they tell you. Overall, if you want to sit for the whole tour at once, it might work for you. I don’t recommend getting off the bus if you’re on a tight schedule. Get there early so you can grab good seats.

Great tour

Me and my partner booked the hop on hop off bus whilst we were visiting Miami. The buses start at 9am and the last one sets off at 5pm buses are every hour half and they was always on time. Nine stops in and around Miami. The ticket is Valid for 24 hours. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

It is a good way to get an understanding of the different areas of Miami and what you might like to see. We spent over 2 1/2 hours doing the route because of a lot of traffic. The sits get pretty hard after that much time.

The meeting place was given to me incorrectly when I called Viator for a stop near hotel I was staying. I feel that more information could have been given during the commentary.

Stuck in Miami

Our flights got canceled due to weather and we were not originally planning to stay in Miami so we had nothing planned and had done no research on the area. The Bigbus tour is always good way to get to know the area and see some of the main attractions.

Not ideal

I’ve used hop on hop off in other countries but this one the headphones didn’t work. They don’t stay in ur ears and the stops are not in ideal locations meaning there is some walking involved. There are other options I saw while on this bus and I would suggest checking those out they seem to have more stops

Buses leak terribly!

It was raining that day and both buses we were on leaked terribly. There were towels out so they clearly knew it. We were dripped on entire trip. Not as good as other hop on hop off buses as there aren't as many points of interest.

What a great tour for your money.

IF YOU FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. We picked 48hr pass with boat and night bus cruise. The Hop on at any stop and off at any stop is great to have we got a 48hr pass. If it rains expect the bus to be crowded as no one wants to be soaked up top. Grab a pair of headphones out of the basket when you go on the bus. The staff was friendly. See the staff at stop 1 for your boat ticket to be printed out the proceed to the boat 30 mins before it leaves to get a good seat. They also show you the stars houses. The night bus ride was fun very informative. It was a rainy day, and we still had a good time. I recommend this tour. We will take it again, when we come back this way.

Cruise Great, but Hop Off the Bus!

The bus was awful. It was so crowded, hot and uncomfortable. We didn't see any signage that there were headphones, so for the first part of the ride we were bewildered when there was no commentary. We finally noticed people with headphones and saw someone else getting them. But of course if you have to stand having a pair of headphones makes no difference, you miss it all. At the first stop we tried to get up to the top, but only two of four of got a seat. When we got back downstairs, there were no seats left and we had to stand. At the second stop we got off and never got back on, so that part was a waste of money. We ubered to the next stop, and were very disappointed we didn't get to see much. If the fans had been going while stopped we may have been able to ride the entire route, but it was a miserable time. Been on these types of busses before but never had this awful experience. As for the cruise, that was great and gets 5 out of 5 stars. The staff were great and informative, and we enjoyed seeing all the islands and beautiful homes.

A fun way to see the city and the audio portion is very informative! We hopped off in Little Havana and it’s much see. The food is to die for and everyone we encounter was very friendly and welcoming. Heading back to South Beach today to explore. The nighttime tour of the Art Deco in South Beach was fun .
