Pick-up times are between 6:00am - 7:00am. We pick up from most Maui resorts, hotels, and Airbnb's. We will confirm your pick-up time in the 48 window prior to your tour start time. Please be attentive to your phone and email during that time period. At Kahului Airport we will pick you up at arrivals curbside right outside of baggage claim next to the Uber area. Look for vehicle with the Aloha Sunshine Tours decal on the side. The the driver will be wearing a name tag and an aloha shirt

Lisa was absolutely amazing! She was kind, cheerful, and took her time to make sure every guest felt welcomed and appreciated. She also shared so much interesting information about Hawaii and the legends of the land, which made the experience even more special. Our tour started with guide rudely telling us we are not in correct pick up spot (I double checked emails and never told to meet at back of hotel as he stated). Guide knowledgeable about island but started repeating information as tour went on. Guide never answered questions asked so group decided he must not hear well. Wanted his information told nothing more. Lastly van was in rough shape and air did not work. Very hot in van that made trip very uncomfortable to say the least. Would not recommend.

11 plus hours mainly sitting in the bus.’ The tour driver was not the friendly type. A former teacher who lectured us for hours on end, and was very anti American mainlanders. Most of the sites were simply drive by and I believe we only had 4 stops. This was the first bad experience we had in a week. Definitely not worth the time and cost.

This tour is a great way to see Hana. We appreciated the expert driving through the winding roads and hidden stops, especially the waterfalls and hour at the black sand beach state park. Our tour guide, Dell, was excellent.
The only heads up I can give is to expect to be picked up first (6:00 am) and dropped off last if you’re staying in Ka’anapali / Lahaina, which makes it a long day.
The tour description also advertises seeing Jaws, a famous surf spot. We learned on the tour you actually can’t see Jaws easily, so we just saw the entrance to the beach on this tour.

I learned more than I expected of Hawaii culture, beliefs and history of the region and how the island has changed.
Jason’s pure and genuine nature was very refreshing and added to the energy of the day.
Upon completion of our day he sent links for great spots to hit and the local music lists I enjoyed all day.

It was very informative. The sights were awesome. Lisa Parker was an excellent tour guide. She kept calling everyone on the van her family. It really felt like a family going sightseeing.

Sites were beautiful! Road was crazy, glad we weren’t driving it ourselves. Interesting history from our guide. Just a different atmosphere from the guide. Music was a bit loud in between him talking and showing us things. Bus was a bit small for older people getting in and out. Overall neat trip.

The tour was great and so was Christopher, our guide and driver! I had to take one star off however. I felt that the tour was rushed, and may have even skipped a stop or two. Due to the inclusion of a couple from a cruise ship, it started late and finished early in order to accommodate their schedule. Not really fair to the other eleven people on the tour!

I'm glad I didn't drive the road to Hana on my own. The tour was advertised as a maximum of 6 people and my tour had 12 in a crowded van. Lisa our tour guide is a local and gave us good insights on the area. She took us to a waterfall and showed us where to swim, which I wouldn't have done on my own. The sandwiches were pretty good. The day of the tour was a long day so I recommend a good night's sleep the night before.

It was a great tour. Our tour guide Clarissa was knowledgeable and very connected to the island. She made the trip informational and also fun. The stops along the way were beautiful and so scenic and breathtaking- there are places to pick up snacks/food and souvenirs along the way. It is a long day trip so be prepared- it's definitely worth it!

This was worth every penny. Lisa, our tour guide was so very accommodating and just a delight to spend the day with. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were all enjoying our time with her. This tour will be our most fondest memory from this trip.

This is the only way to travel the road to Hana. Our driver/tour guide, Anthony made the trip so much fun. He gave us a lot of information on the history of Maui and the vegetation along the way. His friendly personality and ability to bring everyone into the conversations helped us form a bond with the other passengers on the van, He also stopped a few places that were not listed, when we told him we wanted to see something, still getting us back on time. We also had a great dinner afterwards thanks to his recommendations, Anyone who is considering this tour I say do it and if you get Anthony count on a great time.

This tour is a MUST when visiting Maui. Our tour guide, Jason Frias, was so great about respectfully keeping us on schedule while giving is time to experience each stop. He gave us a wealth of knowledge along the way and added charm and personality to the experience. I am so glad we had his driving skills guiding the road also, as I can see how it can be tricky for non-locals to navigate. The sights along the way are stunning, and we enjoyed local fare along the way at the different stands. We are still thinking about that banana bread!!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our Road to Hāna tour. Jason is our wonderful tour guide. He picked us up from our resort. This tour has about 8 stops. Jason explained the history of each one and he does not rush us to the next. There is a waterfall with a pool that we can swim in. Of course we stopped by the Sandy’s banana bread place. This banana bread is very moist and the ube cookies there are also tasty. Jason took us to a fruit stand and the owner also made dark chocolate from scratch. My favorite is the black sand beach park where we stay for over an hour to enjoy our lunch and walk around the black sand beach. We also enjoyed the restaurant at the town of Hāna where we can get pizza and hibiscus lilikoi drink. Jason even stopped our van along the way and removed a fallen branch from the heavy rain👍. He also refers us to restaurants and other places to visit for our stay. I highly recommend Jason to any Maui tour because he is so familiar with this island.

This is definitely a must see when in Maui! Beautiful surroundings & incredible sites to experience. Jason from Aloha Sunshine tours was an awesome guide equipped with great knowledge of the island & its history! He included some very fun & delightful stops. He is also an excellent driver & has a great sense of humor! I definately recommend the private tour & the BBQ picnic lunch.

Can’t miss Road to Hana when in Maui. The windy road with one lane for two way traffic & skinny bridges requires a driver who can concentrate on the road & traffic & not gawk at the gorgeous surrounding scenery! We had an amazing driver Kawika with aloha sunshine tours - he knew all the great spots to stop for photos as well as food! He was a perfect companion for our memorable day!

Beautiful, enjoyed very much. Only complaint is none of the bathrooms we stopped at had soap or paper towels or hand dryers. As much money tourist bring in you would think they would have decent facilities but all were below standard.

Save yourself a lot of stress and anxiety, let them do the driving so you can enjoy the views. Jason was our driver and tour guide, not only was he a safe driver (you will understand this more and appreciate that after you have been on this tour) but, he was extremely knowledgeable of what we were seeing and he explained Hawaiian culture both past and present to us. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It is also a great way to save money over booking this through the cruise line.

Dell was our guide and he was amazing!! He knew the answers to every random question we came up with and he personalized this trip so much! We got in early which let us get a lot done without crowds or anyone in the background of our pictures. We saw everything we wanted and then some. This was the best way to do Road to Hana!

The Road to Hana was the highlight of our Hawaiian vacation ! Our tour guide, Kawika Kailiawa was the absolute best guide we have ever had. He was very engaging and knowledgeable. We received so many good tips from him for our trip and he was able to answer all questions.! He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. We had a private tour and it was well worth the price.

The trip was good owing to the picturesque scenery but we were not happy with our guide Jason. For starters, he didn't even proactively distribute us all water bottles -- something that everybody would require. We had to ask him to give us one, and when we asked for the other bottle (for the other passenger) he asked if we needed one more! Moreover, when we were late to the van by only two minutes he yelled at us saying that we were way over the time he wanted us to get back.
