Book your selected flight time, travel independently to Maui’s Kahului Airport, and check in for your flight. Then, meet your pilot and any other passengers—your ECO-130 helicopter carries a maximum of seven—before boarding.
Sit back into your comfortable seat, and after a safety briefing, ascend into the skies above Maui for your flight. Then, gaze through the windows and absorb the aerial views as your pilot provides live commentary on the sights and shares intriguing facts about the island’s geology, nature, and history.
Fly along Maui’s northern coast, gazing down at rugged sea cliffs and waterfalls, swoop over beauty spots such as Paia, Hookipa, Haiku, and Pe’ahi, famous for its huge surf break known as Jaws.
Soar over the winding coastal route of the Road to Hana and capture photos of Keopuka Rock, nicknamed Jurassic Rock for featuring in the opening credits of the 1993 movie, "Jurassic Park."
Then, whirr over the dense jungle and descend into the Hana rainforest, touching down near a former taro farm in the untouched Wailua Valley.
Here, hop out and enjoy time to explore the paradise-like landscapes, awash with coconut trees, banana groves, and wildflowers, and commanding panoramic views over tumbling waterfalls and deep green canyons.
As you walk, listen as your pilot shares information about the area, learning how only a few people have walked here as it remains largely unexplored.

- Per FAA Regulations, original government issued photo ID such as a REAL-ID compliant driver's license or a valid passport is required for all travelers over the age of 18. Photocopies or digital IDs are not accepted. Any guest arriving without original, government-issued identification will be denied check-in, and no refunds will be issued for any guest in the reservation.
- Helicopter seating is based on legal weight & balance limits and will be assigned after check-in. Maverick Helicopters does not guarantee seating next to or in the same row of the rest of the party.”

This was a wonderful experience! The pilot was professional, knowledgeable, and funny. We saw so many things, including whales on the north shore, that the pilot took time to circle around and let us see. We landed in the Hana Rainforest and did some exploring and saw some of the most remote, beautiful waterfalls that we wouldn’t have been able to see driving or hiking. I highly recommend this!

Viator is separate from Maverick. Originally I scheduled with Viator, but Maverick called me to reschedule twice. Ultimately, I had to cancel because of the conflict of time.

100% worth every dime. If you want to explore the Hana rainforest without making a whole day out of it then this is the trip for you. The flight was smooth and the pilot was very knowledgeable with the terrain and questions with the island. Definitely recommend.

Wear shoes and clothing able to get damp as the landing mid way is likely to be wet. Spectacular, professional skilled pilots, wondrous tour. Beautiful, ethereal. Only do this is you love riding in a helicopter- if you do, it’s a blast. Six to helicopter. Very educational at the landing break, plus Mimosas!

Ethan was an amazing pilot and tour guide, he pointed out and toured the best locations so that we all got amazing views and pictures.
He pointed out the whales and hovered over them so we can all have an unforgettable experience. I got a little motion sickness, but I highly recommend “ do not eat anything before the ride if you know you get queasy! “
I dry heaved, but nothing serious. Still highly enjoyable. lol

An amazing time! We rotated with our fellow passengers and had both “front” and “rear” seats. If you get the opportunity to sit front row, PLEASE DO. Our pilot, John, had great info and was very communicative on everything!! We had a great time and it was a fantastic surprise for my husband’s birthday!!

We met and reviewed the instructions. Short information given by pilot. Beautiful scenery of shore, water falls and Hana Roadway. We landed in the rain forrest and we were able to walk around and explore. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the day

We highly recommend Maverick Helicopters. I booked this trip for my in laws and after having to move our original booking to another timeslot the day before and then changing due to weather, they upgraded the two of them to a better tour and really helped it still feel special. This was one of the best tours we went on in Maui! John, the pilot was great and knowledgeable, and took care of all of the passengers. He flew very smoothly and was very communicative during the tour, giving us a heads-up what he was doing when taking off and landing and where we were flying.
We had great views of the coast, the Hana rainforest and were able to take a surprise trip to see the Haleakala summit. The stop in the Hana rainforest was unique and really cool. We were able to try fresh lilikoi and guava during our landing, picked right from the tree.

Most amazing experience EVER! 100/10 recommend. Definitely one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever had! Felix was our guide and he was amazing. We stopped and got to explore part of the island no one else does. We got to eat local fruit and had champagne toast with the other guests! It was truly incredible!

An experience I will never forget… the bird’s eye views are simply breathtaking. It was like being dropped into a fairy tail when we landed in the rainforest. Felix, our pilot, was not only a great flyer, but super personable, knowledgeable, and just an all around nice guy!

The excursion was excellent, but not our first choice. Due to rain we could not land in the rain forest. they gave us an option for a refund or a different trip, and we took the trip. Glad we did.
