This was a great experience. We saw at least 50 whales and had a magical experience snorkeling in the Molokini crater. The crew (AJ, Brandon, Jeff) were amazing and helped make sure that all of us were comfortable. Breakfast, lunch and coffee was provided, and we overall ended up having a very comfortable luxury adventure experience. I strongly recommend this for all travelers!

So great. We messed up reading the instructions and arrived close to departure and then had trouble finding where to go but they waited for us and we were so glad the did. The boat is beautiful and the ride over was even more beautiful. We saw whales both directions. The crew was great! The food and service on the boat was top notch. Great boating experience. Our car did get towed. If you park in the dirt in the harbor lot, make sure you don’t have any wheels on the concrete.

A perfect trip

This trip exceeded our expectations. A gorgeous sail to Molokini, with loads of humpback whales seen en route and dolphins to greet us going back. The snorkeling was perfect in terms of crystal clear waters brimming with colorful fish and undersea creatures. The captain and crew were so welcoming and attentive to all our needs. Breakfast, lunch and cocktails were very nice too. The experience was a highlight, well worth the cost of the trip.

The crew was warm, welcoming and created a fun vibe for the passengers. We were running late due to traffic and they waited an extra 15 minutes. Unfortunately we rushed onto the ship without paying for parking and our car was towed when we returned. We enjoyed the experience but ended up feeling a bitter picking up our car from the tow yard. Although it’s not the crews job, I think everyone should be given the QR code before entering the ship.

Great experience. Boat was nice, captain and mates were awesome and super friendly. They served breakfast and lunch on board which were both good. Provided good snorkel gear. Would def use them again!

Absolutely marvelous. Jeff, Brandon, Micah, and Lucas were exceptional with leading, assisting, and guiding us on an incredible excursion to Molokini Crater. We were graced by a mama humpback, her baby, and a pod of dolphins on the way. For an hour, they breached, swam under our boat. It was beautiful. They prepped us well for snorkeling (my first time in the ocean). We received the correct flipper sizes, etc. Lucas helped make sure my child’s life vest was on securely and helped me adjust my mask when I took a break. Brandon told an awesome generational story about Lanai, and they set the sail for that specifically. Jeff assisted with everything, including helping my child feel less seasick and getting me a company shirt to buy when I forgot an extra change of clothes. Micah took the best videos of the whales underwater, then airdropped it to everyone upon docking. Mahalo, guys. Thanks for an epic day.

Crew on Paragon 2 was exceptional. All of them took time to come around and talk to the passengers. Snorkeling at Molokini crater was fantastic; the visibility was exceptional and the tropical fish are everywhere. January is whale season and that makes this a Snorkel, Sail, Whale watching trip. Seeing the Humpbacks from the water was indeed the highlight of the trip. Wish I had a photo to add ... Mom and Baby 100-150 feet from the boat; Full Breach by an adult male a quarter mile away behind them. That was as we were sailing back! Awesome! :)

Took 3 teenage kids to the crater. The Sail Maui crew was very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the boat and saw many whales and dolphins on the sail back. We really appreciated the small boat with only 26 people and saw that as a huge value-add. Would highly recommend Sail Maui!

Bluest water ever

Captain Greg & crew where great, had a wonderful snorkeling experience and I’ve been on quite a few. The bluest clearest water I’ve ever seen. Sail back with almost full sails in a 25/30 knot wind, best part for my wife and I, we love sailing in the ocean. Don’t miss this one!!

Beautiful sail

First of all the crew is great and the trip itself is fantastic and highly recommended. We saw many whales, dolphins and the sail back to the harbor was so peaceful and beautiful. The only disappointment was the relatively small number of fish at the crater. I did see some very interesting fish and a gorgeous spotted octopus. I still would recommend this trip, particularly with the small group allowed.

Detour from Molokini due to weather

Even though we were not able to make it to the crater due to weather/water conditions, the captain and crew were very clear as to why we couldn't go and still provided a wonderful experience at a different location, along with a great sail back to the harbor. This was my second time on this particular sail with nearly the same crew, just as before they went above and beyond. Overall this excursion is great and would happily go yet again.

I love a small group on a catamaran snorkel trip! It was so much fun and a great group. Captain Greg was awesome as was the rest of the crew. Provided breakfast and lunch and beers for the sail back.

The trip was really fun. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. If you had never snorkeled before this would be a great first snorkel. The location was gorgeous and the water was beautiful and clear. We sailed most of the way out to the crater. Tasty food. The group was small and very friendly. I believe there were 13 of us. We got to know everyone on board. Very good conversations.

Nice relaxing sail to Molokini. Other boats were leaving when we got there, 17 boats as we arrived, only 2 when we left. Crew was friendly and attentive. Snorkeling was great. Visibility was awesome.

Amazing Sights & Even More Amazing Service!

This trip was phenomenal. Words can't even do this experience justice. If you're looking for a crystal clear snorkeling experience where you are right up next to the coral and wild sea creatures, this is the trip for you. The staff allowed you to essentially free roam if you were more experienced while also maintaining the balance by accommodating to those less experienced swimmers and scuba-ers as well by doing a mini course on our way to the crater. The morning started off with a welcoming crew, all of which were fun to be around and made us feel very special. The environment was extremely intimate and made me feel like we had our own private tour at times with only sharing the boat with a handful of other families. Ages varied and everyone was pleasant. Seemed like a much better opportunity to sail in a rather exclusive environment, experiencing the whole ship versus the other massive cruise ships that were taking off slightly before or after we set sail. The reason we chose this trip was because of the more intimate environment and not being swarmed with other people and a ton of tourist sunscreen polluting the water. What a good decision on our part. Lunch was catered to us with a sandwich bar and fruits and veggies. It was a nice light meal right after jumping in these clear waters a handful of times off the edge of the catamaran. My favorite part about this trip was hands down the crew. Their laid back and fun spirit really fueled us for having a fun day. They were not only helpful and accommodating to all ages, abilities, and different demographics but they kept us safe, providing the highest level of customer service. They surely went above and beyond. They always say you get what you pay for and this was an experience that I would pay double the price for despite being a naturally frugal minded individual. Thank you for the service and the excellent highlight of our trip to Maui! This was a ton of fun and I hope to come back to visit soon!

Toller Schnorchelausflug

Der Segelausflug war toll. Die Crew war super insbesondere unser Kapitän Kevin. Wir sind zu zwei Schnorchel Spots gefahren und haben jede menge Tiere gesehen. Das einzige was mir nicht so gefallen hat waren die vielen Menschen am Molokini Crater im Wasser, da zu der Zeit wo wir dort waren sehr viele große Boote dort waren und alles voll war. Dafür konnte unsere Crew aber natürlich nichts.
