Overview
Observe humpback whales in their natural habitat during their return migration to Maui’s waters December–April. This whale watching adventure by high-speed catamaran provides a front row seat to fin slaps, flukes, and breaches. Underwater hydrophones help you hear whale songs, while the captain and crew provide the commentary. Juices and sodas are available on board to keep passengers hydrated.

We had a great time. Saw a mom and baby calf. It was late in the season so not too many. But we also saw dolphins. Staff was great!

Due to the time of year the whales were hard to find. The captain was knowledgeable and kept us informed and really tried hard to make sure we saw a whale. This was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a perfect experience with the crew of the quicksilver. Although very late in the season we were able to see mothers and their calfs thanks to the captain. Awesome experience. We are first timers in Hawaii and our dream to see the humpback whales came true. The crew of the quicksilver was knowledgeable and fantastic. We highly recommend this provider.

The entire crew was amazing from start to finish. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone. Very know about whales. Crew was kind and courteous. The boat rode was smooth. Everything about it was tops. Spectacular!

This was a great tour. We did the first one (8am) when the water was calm and the weather was nice. We were able to see whales despite it being towards the end of the season. The whole crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The dock was easy to find and the boat was clean. I also thought the price was great for the experience. Would recommend for families!

After april 1st the whales start heading out. I was so worried we missed it!! But we went the 10th april and we saw 5 whales a mama & calf. Definitely go earlier if you can but know there are still some out there:)

It was a big and safe vessel first of all. The staff were very nice and informative and they had a photographer which I didn’t expect. The boat ride was amazing and we did see whales! And as a special extra you could buy the photos from your cruise which I did. I would highly recommend Quicksilver and they were the most affordable, Hawaii is expensive.

The tour was amazing!!! We went out at the 1 o’clock tour to see the whales. The captain Kiwi was amazing and knowledgeable about whales. The staff Dee Dee and Jeff was great too! Since we didn’t see much whales the captain asked if we wanted to go out on the second tour, which was well worth it!!! We saw a mom, calf and moms mate!! We got videos and pictures that was so amazing during cruise.

Great experience! The crew did a great job. We got to see whales! We brought our three kids and was a fun time! A little choppy but comfortable enough. We also brought a stroller with no issue.

Great captain and staff. Price was cheaper than other tours I looked at. Free sodas and juice. Found the whales at the end of the season. Followed a mom and baby humpback for a while. Definitely recommend the Quicksilver!

We knew we were late in the whale watching season so our expectations were low but we ended seeing a lot of Humpback Whales and the crew did a great job of getting us into a position to see and also hear them. The crew also came around and asked everyone if we needed anything throughout the cruise. We were very happy with this excursion.

We were at the tail-end of the whale migration season and still saw 5 whales and some flying fish too. There were a group of 3 whales, a mom, calf and a male escort. We followed them for a while as they stayed on the surface. The tour boat crew dropped a microphone into the water so we were even able to hear the whales. It was a great and memorable experience!

The sound of the boat engines must have scared away the whales, because we didn’t see anything but a distant tail or two plus a couple of blows.

My husband and I took our 4 year old twins. Literally fun for everyone!
Definitely need to pack snacks to bring aboard… we did early morning and I wish we brought some breakfast stuff. Coffee on board was awesome and the voice in the box was knowledgeable and fun!

We enjoyed watching a baby and her mama for quite some time. We were hoping for more action from the males, but we were also outside the window for whale season.
FYI…
Finding Boss Frogs was not easy. Go down the stairs and to the right. We didn’t even need to check in there. Instead, we had to walk around the marina and check in right at the boat.

Great and fun tour! Unfortunately weather was too much to go to Molokini but that's okay, they took us to 2 different spots where we got to snorkel for quite awhile! After, they took us to go see whales which was fun too! Great crew and great boat! Mahalo Erica for a great time.

BOOK IT NO QUESTIONS ASKED. What an awesome experience thanks to the Quicksilver boat and crew!! I took my 4 year old to Maui by myself to visit family and this whale watching experience was one big thing we were blessed to be able to do. I was super nervous taking him on this boat alone due to him being a little toddler monster sometimes. I was so thankful to the crew for not judging me while I was trying to make sure he stayed alive but also see whales and have fun. They made it extremely great for us.
