Such a wonderful day! Our guide, Alex, was great and very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. Pick up/drop off was smooth, we had plenty of time to wander and explore the sites. So glad I booked this and will be booking another tour with Wonder Van soon to explore more of Portugal.

It was a great way to see sites outside of Lisbon. Our tour guide Alexander made the day that much better. He was great to spend the day with. He had great tips and history stories. I felt very comfortable the whole day…he was amazing. I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Andres was incredibly informative and professional in every way. Showed us around Sintra and took us for an authentic Portuguese lunch that was delicious. Our guide Alexandre Garrido, was amazing. He took us everywhere we wanted to go, and went above and beyond in explaining to us the history and meaning to each location we visited. I would recommend this tour to get a taste of Sintra. Perfect day trip.

This tour was incredible! I was able to customize what we wanted to see and do. There were 21 of us and it was wonderful because of our guide Alex! He was engaging, informative and a pleasure to be with. We learned so much and he got us to every place we requested. Pena Palace, Quinta de Regalaria, port tasting and visiting the western most place in Europe! It was truly incredible. If you could go in this tour I really hope you get Alex as your guide.

We loved our private trip to Sintra! Henry was so attentive, taking us to many local “extras” that were exactly what we were looking for. He was safe and friendly and very knowledgeable. We ate lunch at a great local place that was run by a fire station. We loved his recommendations! The beauty of the palace was just as you see in the photos, but this trip was a lot more than that! It was a good mix of him showing us around and him giving us time to explore on our own. It was a great day!

This was a great tour . It was just our family of 5 which was perfect! What made this tour excellent was our guide Henrique ( Henry) , he made the tour such a memorable event for us . He is fluent in English and is well versed in history of Sintra in fact he is a Sintra native .
Henry didnt once rush us or skip on any details - we appreciate that so much !
it cant get any better than that . Don’t think about it and book the tour but ask for Henry !

My tour guide was really nice. On time. Respectful and professional. But the first half of the day, we were left alone, just given maps of the parks because the guides arent really allowed to go with the clients into some of the parks. So, we did our own tour without any guide. The second half of the day was better, as our guide went with us but then we hit the Port wine tasting and while the port was great, it felt a bit like we were highly expected to buy the wine. It was a bit, I dunno, felt a bit like a set up. You dont know if the prices are right or not because its a tasting. Anyway, while I dont really have anything negative to say it was just not worth the price because of the lack of guiding for the first half of the day. I could have rented a car instead and just did the tours on my own. Oh well. I would have done these tours on my own but we were lazy and had hoped that a private tour would have been more of a tour than just being dropped off and left to our own devices.

It is also inconvenient for us that our guides are unable to accompany customers, but it is a situation beyond our control due to the lack of parking, which makes it virtually impossible for even tour operators to park. Regarding the wine tasting, it is not our intention at all, and we do not benefit from any external purchases in our experience. We only regret that you felt that way. We would like to emphasize, lastly, that renting a car and exploring on your own would not be possible as only tour operators are allowed to drive in the Sintra mountains. We will report this situation to ensure it does not happen again. Once again, we thank you for your visit.

It was the best day trip in Lisbon! The tour was amazing with Luis, our guide! He paid attention to what we wanted, knows all details of where to go and what to do, was very flexible, and took us to places to make our day full & special. He went out of his way to grab a bag of cherries for my daughter when she said she love it, which was a very good touch. This was one of our favorite tours during the whole trip! First things first....our guide, Marcus Bianji,...was fantastic. Very professional and personal. Well-educated and spoke excellent English. Very accommodating and fun. He even ate lunch with us. The food recommendation was perfect Such a pleasure to have met him....feels like we have a new friend. We had the best day with Tomas. He showed us special places that tourists don't normally visit, listened to us when we said we didn't want to do some things but did want to do others. For example, we weren't really interested in a Port tasting (we had already done one in Porto) but we did want to visit a winery. We had a private tasting of four delicious wines and the place all to ourselves. He was engaged, interesting and interested, helped me find a phone charger, took us to a cool hole in the wall local restaurant, helped me find vegetarian food and said yes to everything! A +++ day and tour guide.

Luís is my tour guide and he is very friendly and offered me a customizable tour to Sintra. We started our journey at Sintra, stopped by Azenhas do mar, Cabo da rica and beautiful Cascáis.
Azenhas do mar is a hidden gem that wasn’t included in the tour and the beach and coast view us so beautiful that I want to come back next time in summer.
Very professional and knowledgeable and we’ve talked through the history and overall economic of Portugal. The seafoods restaurant and the oldest book shop that he recommended when he dropped me off at Lisbon city centre are another bonus for me for this trip and I would like to recommend this tour to all first timer.

My mom and I had a rainy (but very beautiful) tour day in Sintra with Tomás.
Having Tomás for your guide is like having a local friend who took the day off from work to hang out with you!
From beginning to end he gave us tons of information to help us decide the direction of the itinerary. Lots of mini history lessons during the drive which made the stops come to life.
It was such a memorable part of our trip, and we hope to return when Tomás takes his place as the mayor of Sintra 😉 Big thanks to Ana as well for helping the booking process and answering all my questions!
