Our family had a wonderful time going to the market and enjoying the traditional Portuguese meal cooking class. We had two boys with us and they really enjoyed learning, cooking, and having the best authentic Portuguese meal that they made! This is a highly recommended activity if you are visiting as a family.

Highly recommend! This market tour and cooking class was my favorite experience in Lisbon. Our instructor Filipa was experienced, kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I learned so much about Portuguese culture from this class, and had a great time. Will cook these recipes at home. Delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our market/cooking class. Philipa was great, engaging and knowledgeable about Portuguese food! We did the class towards the end of our stay so my son had been enjoying fish all week and it was fun to see and learn more about what we had been eating. We got such great tips on handling/cooking fish and enjoyed the other recipes, too. (And the tasting options) I would highly recommend the class!

Renata was amazing! She had such a great vibe and made the whole class fun and informative. We were lucky enough to share the class with another couple that we really got along with. Instructions were easy to follow and we cooked and ate some great food. Highly recommend Renata!

Such a great experience and Philipa was a wonderful host and chef. We visited and shopped the Mercado 61 with her, purchased supplies for the day and cooked all together in the most wonderful kitchen. Great small group of 10. We were there for 6 hours and enjoyed every minute. Would certainly recommend and great value for the experience!

It was an amazing experience and was very worth wasting half a day not exploring Lisbon
We went to the market, did some tasting then went back to cook and learned new skills and had a delicious lunch.

Loved visiting the fish market to pick out what we were going to cook. Renata was a great leader, helping us cook a great lunch. Kitchen is a commercial kitchen, so they had everything (and then some) you would ever need when cooking. Loved the entire time we were there!!!

Absolutely amazing experience! The hosts/chefs are so sweet, knowledgeable and friendly! It felt like we got to do so much but never felt rushed. Nice walk to the market. Snacks throughout the entire experience. Hands-on, detailed cooking guidance. Wine, juice and water always available. Delicious, several course meal after all your hard work! So much fun!

Lots and Lots of food, all great. Rodrigo was a great food and Portugal wine ambassador and kept us moving through the city. Our favorite was the Mozambique restaurant, picked up a bottle of the hot sauce......and got a quick introduction to Lisbon while we made our way through the city.

Pedro was wonderful. Took the time to answer any and all questions. Was enthusiastic about so many different parts of the fresh market and how it all worked in Lisbon. We had a wonderful time with Chef Gui. He took us to the daily fresh produce and meat market to have a local cheese and bread tasting and to purchase our ingredients for the class. We returned to a well equipped facility to prep and cook and eat our traditional meal together. Lots of laughs.
Delicious soup, cataplana and orange cake dessert. Wonderful. A delightful, thoughtful experience.

We loved our morning at market and the cooking class with Roberta, it was fascinating to see the fish traditional market, I never seen so many types of fish and seafood before, we tested some wonderful traditional breads and cheeses, and after buying our fishes and seafood for the lunch cooking we returned to a great cooking facility. We had so much fun cooking together and drink wine at the same time, when we finished cooking we enjoyed wonderful lunch together, overall I would recommend this nice cooking in Lisbon very much!

This was a totally enjoyable experience, run in an extremely professional manner.
We were greeted by Pablo, who was our Chef for the day. Once everyone else arrived, we walked for about 5 minutes to the local market, where he bought beautiful fresh fish and seafood, and fruit etc for our lunch.
We then walked back to a very professional kitchen, where we all contributed our effort to produce a delicious lunch, with very good wine.
We were taught great skills, for example, filleting a fish and shucking oysters.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our day, and felt that it was extremely good value for money.

A fantastic experience! From the market tour (with bonus history lessons) to the snacks to the cooking instruction and the meal itself, we had a wonderful time. Our host was witty and knowledgeable, great with children and adults alike. We’d recommend this to any group, small or large. The cooking space was clean, large, well-equipped and comfortable. Our host was engaging and skilled, deftly moving from station to station to offer instruction and support. We’d return any time.

What an amazing immersion experience with Chef Pedro! We started off the lesson visiting a local market where we shipped for fresh seafood and vegetables for our ingredients. While there we also got to sample local bread and cheeses. The class itself was a bit of work but lots of fun. Even my teenage daughter enjoyed rolling up her sleeves and learning to cook. We made a 4 course meal consisting of bread soup, mussels, seafood captaplana and orange torte. We also got to sample some oysters and goose barnacles. All in all a wonderful way to spend 1/2 a day learning more about the Portuguese culture. Highly recommend!

Chef Pedro was so sweet and knowledgeable, and we had a great time with him. We got to really work in the kitchen, I fileted my first fish ever, and we had all the wine we could want. Fernanda, his assistant, was also incredible and super friendly. Also, the recipes were delicious and easy to follow. 100% recommend!

Great class - Chefe Catrina was very knowledgeable and patient! We prepared dishes that are not typically found in the Portuguese tourist restaurants - more like what you’d find if invited for dinner by a local family. Delicious!

Our family had a wonderful time cooking with Carina and Fernanda. They were warm, funny and so knowledgable. They tailored the meal to be gluten free at our request. Menu was amazing. Instruction was delightful and the final meal was out of this world. We would highly recommend Lisbon cooking

The Market was amazing and Paulo is very knowledgeable and made sure we all enjoyed the experience.
I like that every dish we made was delicious. I tasted dishes I would not have tried otherwise. Octopus and egg soup for a few!
