The views are worth it! We also had a really great guide (Stephan). The hike itself was challenging, as described, but I always felt comfortable to pace myself as needed.

I'm glad you felt comfortable to pace yourself. When guests ask me for a recommendation, this is the hike I suggest if physically able. We just want everyone to enjoy themselves, and the views are a bonus! I'll pass you kind words along to Stefan.

Hey Christany!
It was so cool taking you and Dylan up to the summit of Flattop. The moose was a highlight for me, and it was crazy seeing Laddie putting the windsock up on the flag pole. Cool day with great memories. I won't forget this one! Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review.

Caleb, our guide made a grand effort for us to get all the way up to the glacier at the top through wind, rain, snow, hail, and tons of wind. He thought we could not make it at first, but he saw my desire, and so he made it happen. I was so thrilled to see the beauty! Then he led us down quickly enough to make our dinner reservation at 49th State Brewing. Fantastic fun day with Caleb!

The hike was amazing, beautiful views at the top and the weather was perfect, the sun even came out when we were at the top of Mt Baldy. Our guide Britt was excellent, she was patient, taught us about the flowers, wildlife, took our photos, and gave us a snack.

What awesome views!! This is not the right hike for you if you don’t want to put in the effort to get to the top. The first 45 minutes of the climb are the toughest. But if you do, the views are spectacular. Our guide Greg was great. Providing interesting facts about the area and just general information about Alaska. Would do it again just for the view!
Response from Host, Oct 2021
Thanks for coming out with us! If I could put Gregg as the guide on all of the hikes I would, haha.
Dana_M, Aug 2021
Our hike up Mt. Baldy was a great experience. Madison, our guide, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the vegetation in the area. The hike itself was relaxing and not too strenuous. It would be good for families or anyone who wants a nice workout and scenic view. This was a great hike to begin our trip in Alaska. This hike got us used to the area and helped prepare us for hikes later in our trip. We would recommend this hike to anyone!

Desiree, May 2021
I went 1st week of May and there were still snow on the ground and had flurries during our hike. The first 45mins up was the most challenging because it was mostly climbing but it gets easier. i strongly suggest wearing hiking boots if you don’t want to injure your ankle and if you’re hiking during the colder season, bring good gloves! I booked for a private hike tour and absolutely love the experience! Greg, knows so much about the trails and made the climb easier for someone like me who hasn’t hiked with this intensity for years.
Highly recommended using Go Hike Alaska if you’re up for any adventures here in Anchorage!
Response from Host, May 2021
