Excellent tour! Everything was perfectly on time from hotel pickup to drop-off. The driver and guide were both very kind and attentive. The glacier and mountain views were absolutely beautiful, and they helped us take great photos. Highly recommend!

An absolute must if visiting Anchorage. An incredible immersive experience. We were picked up at our hotel and our driver took us to Matanushka safely. We felt safe in the glacier at all times with a very knowledgable guide. We hiked through the glacier, drank a little of its melting water, it was amazing! Absolutely recommended.

The guide on the hike was so knowledgeable and friendly, we had a wonderful time. They have some gear they’re happy to let you borrow, such as ski pants and cleats - but be prepared with gloves, socks and other warm clothing for this hike!

Generally the tour took 2 hours drive to Matanuska, a 2 hour hike and 2 hours drive to return. I am not sure why limit the time for hike to two hours, wonder to cater for the physical and safety of the visitor.. The tour guide at the glazier site was strict, unpleasant tone and everyone must follow the walk on the glacier one by one with few stopovers for photo taking. I can understand it was for the safety of everyone particularly the tour had pre-teen/teen. But kind of boring. We expect something more interesting and challenging. Also October was a shoulder season which is lack of snow and ice.

Great guided hike on the glacier. Guide was knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting information about the glacier and ensured everyone's safety. Plenty of opportunities to take pictures. Don't have to be super fit, but there is elevation and hiking at a moderate pace vs a stroll. Although the driver didn't provide a guided narrative on the way, he was very knowledgeable of the area and the glacier and happily answered any questions.

Our guide Leona is experienced and friendly. Took lots of professional photos of us. We drove 2 hours and stopped by a Mcdonald to get lunch. The hiking part is one of the kind, once in a lifetime experience. My 5 year old girl was able to follow along, almost 2 hr hike. My 8 year old boy was following the guide all the time, asking all sorts of questions, and the guide was able to answer him and even let him tried the pickaxe on ice and rock. We were lucky the weather was nice. We wore layers of clothes and the kids wore ski pants which proved to be necessary. Wear utility boots or sneakers, something you won't mind to get dirty.

Kevin communicated very well in advance and kept us on track. He was always ahead of the curve and went above and beyond to help us and the other family with children to enjoy the experience safely. He was knowledgeable, helpful and kind, good with all of us from a 4-year old to retirees. 10 out of 10. Also, the on-site guides were well-trained, knew how to explain the glacier and navigate safely in the strange and constantly changing environment. Fun and very memorable.

Our driver Daniel was fantastic. He told us about the area and little tidbits of info along the way. And took us to see gorgeous views of Denali after the hike and to go find a moose (which we did!) he was amazing, can’t say enough good things about him.
Our hiking guide Petra was also great. Very knowledgeable and you can tell she really loves her work.
Definitely recommend this tour if you are looking for a day trip!

First of all, this was an amazing experience, but I felt like the tour was lacking. The van provided was not a glass domed van. We were picked up at our hotel and the driver was super friendly and helpful. The listing stated drinks and snacks would be provided. There was bottled water available only. We stopped at a grocery store to purchase our own snacks and items for lunch. We then traveled to the glacier and met our tour guide. He was super helpful with difficult climbs, but I felt like we were rushed from spot to spot because we were told another group was waiting. There were several times we were asked to move along and did not get time to take pictures. He stopped in about 3 specific spots and took photos of each party. There were other tour groups that were provided with information about the glacier and took time to gather specimens and looks at different items in nature that were pointed out by the guide. I'm not sure if it was the same company and a difference in guide styles or if they were from different companies that ran things differently.

Daniel our driver and guide to the glacier was awesome! So knowledgeable and friendly! When we got to the glacier hike, our guide for that part of the tour was Will. He brought us up and onto the glacier. Will also was very knowledgeable about the glacier and made for a great overall experience. Super fun activity!!!

Outstanding view on the drive to and from the glacier but I recommend a hat for the full windowed roof of the van!! The sun can shine bright! The hike itself was stunning and interesting, the guide was engaging and sweet and helpful. Everyone was friendly and the experience as a whole was wonderful and memorable. I highly recommend.

Drive from Anchorage to Matanuska glacier was 2 hours each way (4 hours total on the road in a day). Our driver was extremely nice/polite…..on time to pick us up and safe on the road but his English was difficult to understand and it was a barrier for us to know the plan of our day. We were also hoping that our driver could talk about Alaska-history/landmarks, etc. nothing was said about Alaska. Our guide Petra on the Glacier was SUPERIOR.

Highly recommend this trip! Our driver and tour guide are very friendly and professional. Everyone in the team was well taken care of. They helped us take as many pictures as possible, and the panoramic bus is also comfortable and amazing. Worth the price!

Had a great hike. Winter hikes are pretty easy though than summer hike. But liked the beauty of Matanuska and the snow ofcourse. Naomi was very good guide.

Our driver Daniel was professional and friendly and got us quickly and safely to all our destinations. He was extra helpful. The tour was sooooo fantastic. Our guides Ethan and Vivian were so knowledgeable and made us feel safw while having so much fun. We saw and learned so much. And wow. Its beautiful out there!!!
