This experience was wonderful. Such a beautiful route to travel and so many stops to enjoy. Truly the very best tour/transfer available. Our guide Corey was outstanding. He made sure we experienced everything and took us to all the best spots. He was very fun and knowledgeable of both the area and the history. He took great care to be sure we had a wonderful experience. The company providing this tour, Welcome Anchorage is exceptional and offers the perfect experiences. The owners and guides make sure the clients receive once in a lifetime experience. Out guide Corey made this tour a lifetime memory. I highly recommend this tour/transfer and company and guide. They do ALL things right.

A great way to get to Seward if you didn’t do much in Anchorage. You get to see some sights in Anchorage before enjoying the stunning drive down to Seward, with a stop at the animal sanctuary. Brooks was a great guide!! 😎🤘

My partner and I were on the Anchorage to Seward (Whittier) tour on Friday, May 15, and I have to be very honest that it was one of the worst tour experiences we have ever had.
I understand that Lara has just started with your company, but I think she could benefit from quite a bit more training. She literally didn’t stop talking for six hours, and much of the “history” she was sharing seemed to be her personal/family history (including the exhaustive list of all the jobs she’s ever had) which (at times) felt a bit uncomfortable.
Regarding the schedule, we did not follow any of the timings that were listed in Viator. The one-hour tour of Anchorage to start ended up being over two hours, which caused us to rush through the Conservation Area and skip Portage Glacier, altogether.
We were also a bit taken aback that our last stop in Anchorage was back at the same hotel from which we had been picked up (The Lakefront) so that we could “see the taxidermy”. We literally could have just been picked up there and missed the “tour” of Anchorage.
She also had some questionable driving, and was actually vocal about it (swerving, hard turns, etc.). She also didn’t seem to know where she was going. We did laps around hotels and even ended up at the wrong one to pick up some folks. Before we got to the tunnel, she was commenting that her eyes were tired and that she was uncomfortable driving through it. Not a great vote of confidence.
For a cost of $227 per person, we were quite disappointed in this tour, especially since we had had such a positive experience two days prior with Davis on a tour to Hatcher Pass. Some of our other travel mates indicated that they received partial refunds for this tour because of the experience, and I think that would be completely appropriate.
I am happy to elaborate further, if needed. I do hope that other groups will not have the same experience we did.

This is the most disheartening review we've ever received. As we discussed afterwards- As painful as it was to read it, it's more painful to know you experienced something so opposite of everything we try to do as a local family company. As you know. It was Lara's first day, and she clearly was nervous and not ready. The feedback is truly appreciated,. so that we could pull her out of the field. I believe your refund has already been processed in line with our guarantee that we offer all guests. Good communication up to departure and throughout the journey.
Great door to door pickup and drop off.
I'm sure that, given good weather, this trip would have been so much better. It was too rainy for us to walk or to appreciate the wildlife rescue & research centre.

Great stops. James was great, he knew many facts about the entire route. Took us through Anchorage and showed us many areas and explained the history as well as present day. He has a great personality and is able to present all of his information by memory. We truly appreciate his knowledge and could not have asked for a better person to be our tour guide.

An excellent way to get from Anchorage to Seward, stopping to enjoy various sites along the way. Seeing several moose near the Earthquake Park was a bonus. Our driver Elizabeth was fantastic. Her commentary and insights into the area made the trip much more better. Lunch at the Basecamp Cafe in Girdwood was wonderful.

Viator is not the reliable company that is stayed. The head company Welcome Alaska or Welcome Anchorage had to cover the reservation, as Viator did not show up for the reservation. H did a wonderful job of showing us all of the places and spaces that she loves between Anchorage and Seward. They were a godsend

Lots of fun with our guide “H” and our new friends from Louisiana! Bald eagle, clam chowder, hiked Byron Glazier and Virgin Creek Falls and a wild life preserve. A full day!

Even though our trio from Anchorage to Seward was rainy we still were able to see beauty.
Christian, our driver, was kind to stop and direct our attention to areas that we desired to see.
We took this drive as opposed to the train and I am super glad as we were able to stop along the way to really take in the beauty.
We enjoyed our trip in a very nice van.

The Alaska Wildlife Center was very interesting. Our operator was very knowledgeable about Alaska and very amiable. Stops at Turnagain Arm and a glacial lake were very interesting.

Cortney was such a joy and a great tour guide to get us from Anchorage to Seward. Her knowledge of and passion about Alaska came through in every stop. The vehicle and trailer made transporting all six of us and our luggage very easy.

There are not enough words to share how amazing Courtney was. We would all book her again and wish she’d be our guide for every vacation. She was attentive to ensuring we saw what was important to us, she was incredibly knowledgeable, and she made the trip fun. She helped us ensure we got great pics and even had snacks and water for us. I can’t stress enough how amazing she was and the detailed care she put into ensuring we all had a great outcome.

James was amazing!!! What an incredible way to start our vacation. Great tour and got us to the ship in the most comfortable way. We weren't crowded on a bus or train with hundreds of people, definitely the way i would transfer again.

Best way to travel to Seward! The drive was beautiful and each stop provided a unique opportunity to see Alaska. It was a rainy cold day but the van was very comfortable and cozy. Caleb was a great driver and tour guide! We had time to enjoy the sights without being rushed.
