Walking tour of old city, Philadelphia review
This is a great way to more intimately get to know the local gems all over downtown old city Philadelphia. Walking with an expert tour guide is a wonderful way to enjoy this tour and it’s not that long or that far so most anyone could do this that is mobile.

Fantastic walking tour of history with Russ!
A fantastic, rich walking history of the birth of the US, filled with details that brought the context and the people to life. Russ was phenomenal - highly knowledgeable, funny, and covered a lot of historical ground in a two hour walk. Easy to see that he loves history and Philly, and encourages others to do the same. Also some great book reccs!

Definitely a tour for...
Definitely a tour for 18+! Fun, eerie historical and a tad bit naughty. Great way to see some of the sights in & around Independence Hall and learn some little-known facts about Philly and its spooky, early MA-rated history. :) Definitely wear comfy shoes as at some of the stops you are standing for a good chunk of time. Bonus if the karaoke bus drives by! Andrea was engaging, thoroughly knowledgeable, and handled a variety of passing-by distractions with aplomb and good humor. Not your typical history tour but worth it.

You get much more than food
This is a great walking tour with some great food and lots of great history. Barry was our guide and made the experience even better. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to taste the local fare with some free history while you do it, especially if Barry is there.

Philadelphia tours prove that there’s more to the City of Brotherly Love than its role in the American Revolution. With a local expert, you can marvel at the murals and Magic Gardens of South Philly, feast on cheesesteaks and tomato pie in the city’s historic markets, and roam the stately mansions and gardens of Brandywine Valley. Of course, you’ll also want to follow the footsteps of America’s founding fathers and earliest citizens, which you can do on historian-led tours of Independence Hall, Elfreth’s Alley, and the President’s House that predates the White House.
