Enjoyable day out in Amish Country, appreciated the small group and friendly guide/driver. Probably better in spring/summer/fall.

Dale was fabulous! We had a lovely day and learned so much. The best part was Dale’s personal relationship with many of the Amish people. It made the trip so special.

The Amish Village in Lancaster was a truly unique and enlightening destination that far exceeded my expectations. Marty, our exceptional tour guide, provided a captivating narrative, replete with meticulous details. Marty's courtesy and accommodation of my requests were outstanding. His warm and engaging personality made me feel at ease, much like interacting with a friend. Ultimately, the Amish Village is an indispensable destination in Lancaster County, offering a rich tapestry of history, culture, and local flavors that cannot be rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour my friends!

Our tour guide Tom was amazing, knowledgeable and very friendly. I would rate this as one of the best we have been on. His tour included a lot of information of the whole area and was very informative.

A truly unique experience and up close glimpse of Amish life in America. Seeing farmers work the fields during harvest with teams of horses, meeting Amish elders, and visiting Amish Village and shops were among the tour highlights. Just riding through the open rolling fields of Lancaster County in a comfortable van was picturesque and enjoyable. Our guide and driver Rick was knowledgeable, warmly welcomed by Amish residents and full of conversation. It was a day well spent that will be long remembered.

Adam was so knowledgeable, experienced, and fun! Not only did we learn a ton about the Amish community, he took us to a restaurant where we had delicious food and got to get to know our tour mates a bit better. We enjoyed seeing how the bridles were made and some of the Amish leather works. The last stop to shop for authentic Amish good and gifts was a great way to wrap it up. Highly recommend!

Tom was AWESOME! He was very knowledgeable about the Amish region and took us to places where you can really see how the Amish live. He was able to answer all my questions. And although it was not a stop on the tour, I was able to stop and buy vegetable and herb seeds to bring back home.

A truly informative view of Amish life and culture .
Out guide James was most knowledgeable and passionate about the subject .

Marty was a terrific guide through terrain entirely unfamiliar to us. He offered both historical perspective and interesting details about Amish culture and experience. The trip was designed to offer a slice of everyday Amish life, from an Amish-owned toy factory, to an Amish goat farm, to an Amish harness-making shop. We even stopped by an Amish grocery store and spent way too much time perusing the offerings. We took the opportunity at each stop to purchase local goods -- although Marty went out of his way to let us know we did not have to do so -- and to ask questions about the shopkeepers' lives. The people we met were obviously fond of Marty, and it was clear he had forged real relationships over time with them, which made our experience that much richer. We ended the day with the best Pennsylvania dutch pretzels we ever had. We highly recommend this tour!

I booked a group trip but in the end it was just me. I enjoyed it from the beginning till the end. Tom, my tour guide was a really nice person, he put me at ease straight away and we had a great time together. He was very knowledgeable as well, you can tell he likes his job.

This was a great tour. Marty was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information throughout the day. There were plenty of stops to get out and explore different areas of life and culture within the Amish community. Could have used more time at lunch for eating and exploring.
Dana_R, Aug 2025
Excellent tour! Our Driver was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Amish and their culture.
Kevin_M, Jul 2025
Do not video record the Amish. That is against the rules and I saw some people from other groups that may not understand English, so I wanted to share that.
Susan_M, Jul 2025
We didn’t have a car in Philadelphia and this was the perfect way to see the Amish Country. Our guide was James and you would be so lucky to have him as he has a vast historical and personal knowledge of all things Philadelphia including the nearby Amish of Lancaster County. We visited the Amish Village and saw the inside of a typical Amish house. After a nice lunch (we paid and chose our own at a marketplace) James took us to several craftsmen’s places of business… something for everyone. It was a great day…. Thank you James

Rick was a great tour guide. We got to see working farms and businesses run by the Amish. It was an enjoyable day learning about the Amish who live in Lancaster. We made many stops, but we would have enjoyed some more time shopping. Overall, it was great!
Tina_h, Jul 2025
Very relaxed, small group. Rick was very knowledgeable and exposing everything he could about where we were and what we were seeing.
Kylie_H, Jul 2025
Barry was a great tour guide from start to finish. My 12 year old daughter and I felt safe as we traveled by a small van. We learned a lot about the history of Philadelphia and the Amish during our ride to Lancaster and back. We enjoyed our stops in Amish Country that allowed us to view the landscape, farms, and shops --- as well as interact with the people. Lunch was a great stop; we got to experience a buffet --- a good feast. Everything was timed well and Barry went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great experience.
Sherry_L, Jul 2025
Seeing the Amish way of life was very informative. The homes were much larger than I expected and extremely nice. Loved seeing all the animals. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. I would have liked more time in the stores. That time seemed very rushed and we got back a little earlier than I expected. All in all it was a great experience.
Hallie_V, Jul 2025
