A terrific way to see A LOT of the city! Jonas was a great guide. Highly recommend this tour to see & learn about Philly. The meeting spot is right next to the Eastern State Penitentiary so it’s easy to do both things on the same day.

The Philly Bike Tour Company is staffed by friendly, reliable and knowledgeable professionals who create a genuinely enjoyable experience of the city. Jonas guaranteed an interesting and entertaining tour for all the participants, discussing the culture, history and sports heritage of this great city. Jonas and his colleague Drew ensured that the participants were safe as we peddled through a variety of Philadelphia districts. We definitely recommend this company to anybody who is visiting Philadelphia and enjoys cycling.

Perfect amount of movement and history! Showcases what a beautiful city Philadelphia is!
Really enjoyed Drew and Josiah- both “homegrown “ Philadelphians with loads of knowledge.

Our tour leader, Matt, was great. He shared a lot of insights about the sites we visited. This tour was very comprehensive — it covered all of the Philly neighborhood areas and most of the landmarks. It was a REALLY fun day despite it being unbelievably hot. The bikes were easy to ride and in good working order.

Excellent ride exploring all the great sights of Philly! Our guide, Matt, was fun and very informative.

This was a wonderful tour of Philadelphia. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I took my daughter on this trip to be able to see a little bit of historic Philadelphia. Even for me, it was new and refreshing, and I learned so much! It was beautiful, relaxing and a lot of fun! You need to be in pretty decent shape though to ride the bike for 3.5 hours, and some of the ride is uphill. Our guide, Matt, was truly wonderful. He was kind, happy, and very well informed. He gave over a lot of excellent and interesting information. He was patient and cautious, always making sure that everyone was okay in the group. This is a must do in Philadelphia! Thank you Matt!

A must do bike experience in Philly! We learned so much about the city and enjoyed the route immensely! Our guide, Matt, exceeded expectations in every way!

Superb experience. Excellent introduction to the city and history.
-Bring your own lunch or come full.
-Make sure your bike is on lowest speed.
-if you usually do not exercise, you can do this but the last bit MAY be challenging- slight inclines not hills. You can still have a terrific time.
They provide a bike water bottle.
Matt was a tour guide and Dillon pulled up the rear- we enjoyed them very much.

It was a fun tour and a great intro to Philadelphia. Both of the guides were very knowledgeable about Philadelphia- both the history and the great things to do and see and eat. I highly recommend this tour.

Although the day was cold and wet, we decided to go ahead with the bike tour. We were the only takers, but were pleased we did.
Our tour guide was Philly local, Jonas. His knowledge of the area and history was extensive, and he was most interesting. Despite the weather, we covered a lot of territory, and came away feeling satisfied we had seen and learned a lot.
Jonas was very clear with his road instructions, and we felt safe at all times. Recommended!

Physically strenuous at times. Great way to learn about Philly from the locals. Matt and Collin were fabulous hosts: Entertaining, knowledgeable, and safety minded.

Joe was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this city. We covered a lot of territory and had a beautiful sunny day. I would highly recommend this outing.
Kirsten_S, Aug 2024
Joe was a perfect tour guide. From his bike awareness, keeping everyone informed of upcoming uses of the road or bike lanes, and helping everyone feel comfortable, to his amazing personal stories and historic stories, that really taught you so much about Philly. This tour is an amazing way to learn about the history, but again some amazing views of the city. You’ll love it!!

So much fun exploring Philly on bikes! Informative, friendly and well paced. Highly recommended for anyone

Good city tour. The guide was very good. I don't know about their bikes, for we used our own. We were under the impression that we will visit the places mentioned in the description of the tour, for it says entrance tickets are not included. But we did not visit any of them. Just passed by. We have done city bike tours around the world and they take you inside at least a couple of places along the way. A bit disappointed.

We had a blast exploring the city with our wonderful guides, Joe and Matt. I am a Philly citizen and took out of town guests on this tour, and it was the perfect way to introduce them to our magnificent city. I highly recommend this tour for visitors and Philadelphians!

Joe was incredible! His number one was watching out for us and making sure we were safe. He knows and loves the city so well. He added according to our interests. Because of Joe, I now love Philadelphia. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. The bikes were top-notch and surprisingly comfortable. Best part of the vacation!

We had a truly incredible day doing a bike tour with Joe. First of all, Fairmount Bicycles has safe and reliable and comfortable bikes as well as friendly employees and a nice bathroom. We headed out with Joe to discover the best of the city with his amazing local knowledge. He was so fun to chat to and learn from. Having been to Philadelphia many times previously, I got to see a new part of the city and I learned a lot about art and culture and history. Highly highly recommend! Book with Joe!

Zac S gave a great tour and we cover a lot of ground with the perfect amount of information. One of the best cycle tours we have done and we do one in all our travel destinations

Great time riding through Philly and learning about history and points of interest. 10 mile ride; safely guided by Zach. A must for people who want to see the city from the vantage of a bike.
lise_k, Sep 2019
10 mile ride with many stops on a beautiful and Sunday. Zac was a great tour guide and Tyzeer his “assistant”, was great! A fun relaxing ride for us as we do not bike often.
