Fun interesting tour of Philly. Krista was great… learned alot about the history of Philadelphia!! Love the night tour.
NOT suitable for kids, but also not quite as “dark/not for those who are easily offended” as one would think based on the review. Lots of info about history of the sex work industry, some fun ghost stories, dark history of Franklin square. Would have loved more of the dark history around some of the founding fathers associated with Philadelphia!
Fun experience and tour guide made the best of a rainy night. It is an interesting way to see the city.

My family and I take a ghost/dark history tour everywhere we travel and our tour with Ted was my favorite so far! He is tremendously knowledgeable and passionate about history in a way that’s contagious. You can’t help but be just as excited and eager for the next stop. Ted was full of fascinating anecdotes and stories you’d never hear on another tour and delivers a ton of history in a way that was never dull or overwhelming.
I’d say the only thing to note is that Ted does use a lot of swear words so if you’re sensitive to that, maybe not your thing. And is it a longer tour with several stops (though Ted has thoughtfully planned spots where people can have a seat), so just be ready to get a few steps in on the funnest, funniest, most informative tour I’ve been on!
Ted was a great tour guide. Kept things entertaining, lots of great historical info mixed with some naughty and grim tid bits.
Great way to get some history and a little underbelly of the city flavor. The guide was great and did a good job hearing cats given the large group.
The stories on the tour were interesting and based on history. The guide, Ted, was funny and personable.
Our guide was so much fun—warm, funny, and really engaging. I especially loved that she told detailed stories that brought the history to life, rather than just rattling off names and dates. It felt much more like great storytelling than a history lesson, and made the tour memorable. Highly recommend!

A fun-filled two hours of walking learning bits about Philadelphia's lurid history. A couple of mentions of ghosts, but not a ghost tour, and that was fine. Adult themes. Not suitable for youngsters or the easily offended. The guides were amusing and knowledgeable. Mine was named Christa and she comes highly recommended. The meeting point is at the south end of the visitor's center at 6th and Market.
Had a great tour with Ted! Lots of really great information and history, but told with the adult in mind. Definitely not for those with a 'prudish disposition.' But if you enjoy some salty language and stories of the more adult (including some things creepy and eerie, but not scary), then you would enjoy this tour! Some walking but nothing too strenuous (the 'worst' part is a few cobblestone streets to cross), and Ted was very good about keeping the crowd together, keeping a good pace, and making sure everyone was comfortable getting back to the starting place of the tour once it was finished (or not, with some nice bar recs). Highly recommend!

Guide was knowledgeable and stories were interesting. The tour did a great job of hitting most sought after historical sites. Must walk beyond end point to catch ride share. Starting point and ending point, not the same. Lots of walking, not many places to sit – but definitely worth it. Would do a tour through them again!

This was a remarkably good tour. Brianna is an excellent speaker and the material on the tour was a perfect blend of ghostly and historic, of raunchy and respectful, and of educational and entertaining. The walk was flat and easy and Brianna’s familiarity with the area made us feel safe and relaxed. This isn’t a ghost tour. This isn’t a standard history tour, either. This is a chance to hear information you probably aren’t going to hear anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Such a fun tour. Did this as a couple for date night and was not disappointed. Tour was just over two hours and about 1.2 miles of walking. Very informative and very entertaining. We learned a lot about America and Philadelphia and had fun doing it.
I wouldn’t bring the kids, but it’s not intentionally crass either. Adult language and themes.

kinda misleading advertising. I thought we were going to go out and see the dark side of philly, but it really meant we were going to have stories about the dark side of philly. Stories were still good tho.
We had a rainy night, but Brianne was upbeat and kept going. She had a few umbrellas which helped alot and when it stormed we went inside a building. I enjoyed the stories and that it wasn’t a crazy amount of walking.
Brianna was absolutely amazing. Was knowledgeable and accommodating. Looking out for the group in case of rain with additional umbrellas that she personally brought. I’d highly recommend and endorse her. Very happy.
Ted was an awesome tour guide! A great storyteller with lots of knowledge about the city’s history. It was a great activity for a night out with my friends and I who are history nerds.
