Our group were all new to Austin and he gave us insight into how it got to be the way we see it today. We took away some recommendations on local places to see, eat and drink. Great Hill Country experience!

Anne Lewis with Fora Travel helped me plan my trip and made recommendations regarding what type of excursions I might enjoy. That led me to book this tour through her and I’m so glad I did! Our guide was Wallace and he was fantastic from beginning to end. He kept us entertained with interesting stories and information along the way. Brisket at Salt Lick was delicious and just what we all needed before we headed off to drink wine! I loved both wineries (though Duchman was my favorite). We spent the perfect amount of time at each and really enjoyed the wine and each other’s company. In the Shuttle headed back to Austin, you’d have thought our group was a bunch of close friends. Wallace definitely helped facilitate that. He also let us stop briefly to see a longhorn cattle ranch and a super cool old Texaco gas station in Driftwood. Both fantastic photo ops. 100% recommend both Anne Lewis with Fora and this tour!

Fun even alone

It's not really much a tour, it's more of a hired guy who drives a boat. He doesn't do much talking about where we are or who's house is who's other than Elon Musk's House, a golf course and a bridge, which is fine, still worth $50, but I wouldn't call it a historical tour or anything.

We had an awesome afternoon in Austin thanks to our fantastic tour guide! Khy was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, and food scene, and shared so many interesting stories along the way. The variety of food samples was excellent—each stop offered something unique and delicious, giving us a great taste of what Austin has to offer. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and really fun. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon exploring the city, learning new things, and enjoying amazing food. He entered into discussions with us about the Austin area, construction along the river, fishing in the river, the dam, average costs of housing in Austin and along the river, and more. October bats & skyline

Beautiful evening to go kayaking and experience the bat flight. Ethan did a great job sharing information about the bats, Austin skyline, and Lady Bird Lake. Austin info was interesting since we were visiting from out of state and this was our only evening in town. As for the bats, wow! We are at the end of season and were warned there may not be as many bats since they are starting to migrate. Afterwards we were told that it was a very large (almost full) group that flew out. Upwards to 1.5 million bats is hard to comprehend! It was spectacular and skin crawling at the same time! I was definitely happier to be on the water towards the back of our group rather than closer to being under the bridge or standing on the bridge where the bats fly past. The only negative was not being able to hear Ethan’s comments leading up to the fly out. I was able to listen to another tour guide closer to me. Kayaking back afterwards beneath the skyline lights and a beautiful night sky was fantastic and not nearly long enough! Beautiful way to end the evening.
