This excursion was much more than I had anticipated! Our guide Drake was very informative and was great with timing and he made sure everybody had an opportunity to get good pictures. The coach was comfortable. The sled dog farm was a tail wagging fun adventure. Even with heavy fog we saw an eagle, several tall waterfalls, and a couple of Dahl sheep. 10/10. - Arkansas Travelers

This was an excellent excursion. Pam, our guide, was a great storyteller and ensured we had plenty of photo opportunities. The musher camp puppies were fun and the dog sled ride was a blast.

It was a great experience. Our tour guide was amazing and knew many things about Alaska/Skagway. He made stops along the way so we could enjoy the views and offered to take family photos. He gave us a lot of history about Skagway but also some personal experiences he has had, which we enjoyed. The sled dog camp was a lot of fun. My kids got to hold puppies and we enjoyed the musher experience!

Great

Beautiful views on the way to dog camp. Travel guide was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The dogs were great and fun way to experience without being in the snow. Wish we would’ve had more time with the dogs and puppies. But overall a great experience

A fun day with beautiful scenery and cute puppies

This is the second year we’ve done this same excursion and it never disappoints. Our driver (Jake? Jacob? Sorry dude I forgot) had a lot of great info, and mediocre jokes (just kidding. He was pretty funny). Everyone at the mushers camp was very knowledgable and clearly love what they do. They care a great deal for those dogs and it shows.

Best option for a Skagway excursion!

Elizabeth_K, Jun 2026
We had a great time with Mariah on our tour. She kept us laughing and timed our stops so we weren’t in a giant mob of people. Do the dog sled ride and book it in advance (they may be full if you try to add it on later, it happened to a family on our tour). The sites are unparalleled and when we compared notes with other people that did the suspension bridge or the scenic train, we saw and did more. Do it!!

Great Day with Sled Dogs!

Charles_O, May 2026
We’ve been on a lot of excursions, and this was definitely one of the best! Our driver Grace was delightful and informative about Skagway and the marvelous snow-capped mountains we drove through on the way to the sled dog camp (plenty of photo opportunities). At the camp, we played with the puppies and took a mile-long ride on an off-road vehicle pulled by an eager team of Alaskan sled dogs being trained for the Idarod and other endurance races. It was great! Highly recommended!

Cheryl_H, May 2026
Don’t wear good clothes as you might get little muddy on trail. It was so fun getting to interact with the dogs and see how much they love to run.

Told to wait, not grab passport, refund would be offered. Then, no refund and no tour. What a dishonest company.

Alex_T, May 2026
Was so excited and looking forward to an unforgettable, adorable experience for my wife and I. We love dogs and this was meant to be the highlight of our Alaskan cruise. I arrived early and no tour operator was there. I called the office and they described the red clothing of the person to meet. Waited for her to come back and once she did I immediately mentioned one of us forgot passport in room but had Real ID license, photos of US passport - is that ok or should we quickly grab it? Was told that could not be accepted and no don’t go to the room there would not be time and to wait here. Tour driver said these things happen, to sit tight and that a refund or other tour option would probably be offered but need to wait for the tour boss. Tour boss kept taking care of other passengers (it was incredibly busy, so hard to get time or attention), got back to me after 15min and said nothing could be done - all of their tours require passport and no refund would be offered. Deeply frustrated since the driver still had not left, and I could have grabbed it in time. She said no I could not. I then went back, got my passport and back in under 15min and they said the driver just left 5min ago! My heart sank. I could have grabbed it, why did they insist on telling me no and to wait and refund would be offered - then changing their mind? Very upsetting experience. Spent hundreds to join this tour, literally held and prevented from getting my passport, then reneged on verbal agreement and offered absolutely nothing, rejected from refund. After asking again several times about what to do and options, they offered a short local bus tour which is a fraction of the value and it felt like I was somehow being so unreasonable to even get that offered. I said no, the short bus is a $70 ticket. Verbal agreements? Being told to wait for 15min and then nothing? Dishonest, deeply hurt, disheartening. Would never happen with a cruise tour operator - tried to save money but now out several hundred.

Fantastic

It is fabulous! From start , pick up at ship, to finish, drop off at ship, it was outstanding! Our tour guide Collin, was Fantastic!! He was knowledgeable about the area, great personality, and it was great to be with a guide/ driver who loves what he is doing and has stories too tell! Then being at the musher camp was the absolute best! MORE than what we expected. We did the trail with the dogs and it was amazing! You will not regret doing this tour! What a wonderful experience from start to finish!

Absolutely Unforgettable Experience - a must do!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This sled dog excursion was honestly one of the best experiences of my life! The scenery alone is worth the trip, but what made it unforgettable was our guide, Noah. He had the whole group laughing the entire time with his sharp sense of humor, and at the same time, he really knew how to keep everyone’s attention and make the experience feel personal. Meeting the dogs was incredible, and the way Noah explained everything made it even more special. You could tell he genuinely cared about the dogs and about making sure we all had a great time. If you’re stopping in Skagway on a cruise, I can’t recommend this excursion enough. It was fun, beautiful, and something I’ll never forget🤩

The drive through the Yukon was beautiful The dogs were so excited to run, The only complaint was the driver he was a little rude

The beautiful scenery is only beat by the hilarious guide

Kate_K, Sep 2025
Excellent tour with beautiful views and cute pups. Note that this tour starts with a long ride, but you won’t mind it because it’s full of stunning scenery all narrated by a talented and charismatic guy named Noah! The sled dog camp is very interesting and seeing and “petting” dogs that love to work is a joy. Definitely worth the time and money!

Nice adventure

Michel_p, Sep 2025
The driver ( Florida guy from Clearwater Connor) was the best part of the trip, he was knowledgeable and entertaining. The Dogsled was ok maybe because we were on a 4x4 instead of on the sled itself but at least we got the idea of everything the Musher and the dogs do.

Absolutely Worth It!

Kiley_C, Sep 2025
Absolutely amazing!! As first time cruisers we were a little nervous to snag a tour that wasn’t booked through the cruise. A million percent recommend. Noah was the most honest and funny guide we’ve had. He was very informative and gave us insight we knew other tours wouldn’t give us. Instructions were crystal clear and the stops and stories were perfect. Highly recommend. Worth the price and the time!

Excellent experience! Was worried about the long bus ride with my 1.5 year old but plenty of stops along the way made it fun for him and of course the dog sled experience and puppies were a huge hit for him and the whole family.

Puppies galore

Pete_S, Sep 2025
Drake did a great job, his experience in other parts of the tourist energy allowed him to share more information about the things we were passing by. He was kind enough to take pictures, which is important when you’re traveling as a couple selfie don’t always work. The dog camp was fantastic and the puppies were adorable. The scenery through Canada was breathtaking.

It was ok. The scenery was beautiful, and the puppies were cute. I felt sad for the dogs and our guide was below average.

Enjoyed traveling to the Yukon and visiting the kennel. Got some good quality time with the dogs and enjoyed our ride. Noah was fun, entertaining and informative. This was hands down the best tour I have ever done on a trip. Noah our tour guide was awesome and so informative and entertaining. The bus ride was enjoyable being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It seemed like we got all of the same views as the train ride, but with the added bonus of playing with puppies and riding on a dog pulled cart. We got to have plenty of puppy time and the cart ride was so fun. Highly recommend this tour!!!

Come hang with the sled dogs (and their pups)!

Tom_S, Aug 2025
The dogs and dog sledding were great but honestly our guide Noah made it that much more interesting. The bus ride was beautiful both ways, but it kept it interesting and entertaining!

Noah was a blast

Noah our guide was great. He loves his job and shares that passion with us. The dogs were great. The ride to the camp was wonderful.
