Walking tour and food tour in one!

Our guide Jose was excellent! He was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. The stops and food we tried were good. If you don’t eat seafood, there were a few stops that had some. However, we tried everything and were pleasantly surprised. Great way to learn about the city and the food culture in Lisbon.

We had a great tour with our guide, Alex! He was great at explaining the history of various areas. He had a challenging job with one challenging group member and he did an excellent job and a lot of work making sure both the rest of the group and the member were taken care of. Highly recommend.

The highlight of our visit to Porto

Early start. Hour and a half drive to the Douro Valley in an 8 seater air conditioned Mercedes. Some really lovely scenery. A marked increase in temperature as we headed inland away from the coast. We stopped for a short breakfast break in a lovely small town en route. A wine tasting and tour was followed by a very good lunch (with more wine). Thereafter a relaxing boat trip on the Douro and to round things off nicely another tour and tasting - this time Port. We really enjoyed the company of the other 3 couples and were extremely happy with our driver / guide Ricardo who spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about everything related to wine growing in the area. He really brought the tour to light and made this a special experience for us.

Helena and Ferro were...

Helena and Ferro were amazing! We started off the tour with an 1.5 hour drive to the Duoro Valley and had a coffee break exploring almarte for about 45 minutes. Then we continued in the bus and had our first wine tasting and lunch. We then went to the boat for about 45 mins to an hour. Boat was cash only for drinks and wine. Then after the boat, we went to another winery about 30 minutes away. All of the wine was great, staff was very friendly! Then had about a 2 hour drive home in the bus. I recommend eating something small before the tour starts and bringing lots of water!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our tour guide Gabriel. He was so kind and made us feel so welcome right from the beginning. We took the tour with our children ages 15, 13 and 7 and he was able to keep everyone so engaged. The pace of the tour was absolutely perfect. We had enough time to learn about history, but also time to explore on our own which we absolutely loved. I 100% recommend this tour. Do not hesitate. This is an incredible way to get a wonderful overview of the beautiful city of Lisbon.
