The boat trip was super fun and beautiful! However, the check in was pretty unorganized and there was no shade in the parking lot which made the half an hour wait very unpleasant. Luckily the amazing views and nice guides made up for it.

It is best to do this activity early morning during summer. It is indeed a must do and the 75min boat ride is an experience not to miss when in Algarve, Portimao.
A special word of mention to Christian our tour guide, highly energetic and with a good sense of humour. He was offering to take pictures and also share information about touristic areas close by.
The serene music played at Benagil caves was something that will remain for a long time.

There are many companies out there offering what look like similar trips but Atlantis Tours seem able to do it at more affordable prices then others. The meeting point can feel a little chaotic but the staff there are friendly, put you in your groups and send you on your way without issue.
A lot of your trip will come down to the skill of the skipper and the charm of the guide, and we lucked in! The skipper navigated the caves with precision and the guide was informative and charismatic, which can’t be easy having to maintain the enthusiasm every outing!
We were with Nuno the skipper and a young lad from Africa, said he was the African shark and the African Michelangelo, as the guide, name escapes me - sorry! Both brilliant. We had a great trip. It’s maybe shorter then other trips and, it’s a sizeable operation, but it works and we enjoyed it.

Great value for money, went with my son and we had a great time. Captain Tiago sailed us to breathtaking views, and the combo of guide Carlos and a hyperenthusiastic group of Brazilian fellow passengers made it a particularly fun hour and a half.
Pros: Breathtaking views. Carlos was an awesome guide (knowledgeable and funny!). Well organized boarding, it's the operator forming the queue from their manifest - no idea what's the ordering criteria, but at least it creates order without debate! The exclusive promotional meal offering at their restaurant Allgarbe was a nice touch and the food there was great.
Cons: the wait for the check-in has zero shade, and we also had to wait too much time under an unforgiving sunshine to get out of the boat. The boat is a bit crammed. At the Allgarbe restaurant, it became apparent that Carlos's optimism about the restaurant being able to accommodate everyone was a bit unfounded (and from the looks of it the restaurant's maítre d' would agree) - we were lucky because we were only 2, but not everyone was so lucky, and for us it still took ages to get food.
Overall a nice, no frills tour.

Great couple of hours out, visiting all the caves by boat, the crew, Sergio & Chico, were a bundle of laughs, saying it as it is, and making time fly, but goving interesting info at the same time. Highly recommend the trip.

It was great and lots of fun!
The speedboat was actually fast and the commentator was funny.
Only problem it was super hot outside and they were 20 mins delayed with no shade nearby we were dying outside lmao.

The tour guide was great, had an awesome crew on the boat and I had a very lovely time. Atlantis Tours is extremely organized and they even wait if you’re a little late and make sure you get the experience.

The scenary beautiful but they pack too many people on boat and they dont let the older crowd have the better seats, it was so uncomfortable for 1.5 hours. Do not do this if you have any aches or disabilities

My wife and I went on the Benagil Caves Speedboat Tour with our two children (11 and 13) and had a fantastic time.
The start is quite full-on, with a large number of people heading out on the various tours. It was very busy and packed, but everything was well organised and ran to schedule, so we can’t really fault them.
We had Bruno as our guide, and he was brilliant. He was very funny and kept everyone entertained throughout with plenty of jokes about the rocks, his exes and pretty much everything in between!
The coastline is absolutely stunning, and the Benagil caves are genuinely something to see. The speedboat made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and we were surprised by just how much we all enjoyed it.
For the price, we thought it was extremely good value for money and would definitely recommend it to families. A great way to see the Algarve coastline and one of the highlights of our holiday.

It was a wonderful trip , we had two small children and the ride was excellent. Sergio and marcello were informative and entertaining. Everyone really enjoyed our time with them. I willl recommend this trip to my friends . We saw many caves and the spectacular bengali cave .

Total fail. Equipment issues. We stood out in 35 plus temperatures for 45 minutes. Infrastructure can’t support the number of clients. Also they need a redundancy build into their business model to handles an outboard engine issue.

We had a **9:00 a.m. reservation** and arrived at **9:06 a.m.** We were told we were too late and that the boat had already left.
We then made a **10:30 a.m. reservation**, only to be told **after we arrived** that they had overbooked and there was no room for us.
Finally, we were given a **1:30 p.m. reservation** and were instructed to arrive at **1:00 p.m.**, which we did. However, the boat didn’t actually leave the harbor until **1:46 p.m.**
What confused and frustrated us was the inconsistency. We were turned away for being just **6 minutes late** to our original reservation, yet later we waited 16 minutes past the scheduled departure time before the boat even left. We understand that delays can happen, but we expected the same flexibility and courtesy that was not extended to us. Overall, the experience was disorganized and disappointing.

It does get chilly in the boat so bring layers. Sergio, Beatrice, and George gave an amazing tour, we’re so informative and made sure to give us all the recommendations our heart desired for things we would want to do in Portugal. The caves were absolutely gorgeous

Atlantis Tours is a great firm! Loved the speedboat tour!! Our guide Pedro was AMAZING and even got us singing!! He gave us hints on good shots, history of the area and great, non-dad jokes! I did not expect to be able to go into most of the caves. The colors in the caves were awesome. The meeting point is very close to the cruise port. If you want ship time or beach time this is the tour for you!!

Unfortunately I did not go on the tour because during check in one of the operators was very nasty and mentioned some nasty things about me in Portuguese, expecting me not to understand her. Instead of putting my safety in the hands of someone like this, I decided i didn’t feel safe enough to go along with the tour
If you are staying in the Portimao area and looking for something fun look no further. We had an amazing crew with Beatrice and Audriana they were super informative and were definitely keeping us on track! We were here for Afronation and this was a great ending to our trip!

Booked a boat trip around the caves as a last minute idea to fill the day. Was great value for money and is a great way to fill a morning or an afternoon. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and was really engaging with the customers. The caves were amazing and the coastline was fantastic. After the trip we went on to a restaurant that is part of the same company running the boat tours the food was great and really enjoyed it. We have booked to come to Portugal next year and will be booking the boat tour again.
