What a lovely day!!
This tour was a wonderful introduction to the Azores! We were a group of 7 and were very comfortable in the vehicle we traveled in. Daniel was an outstanding guide. What a lovely, engaging, and knowledgeable young man and very much a gentleman!!. If possible, I would suggest sitting on the right side of the vehicle as it seemed a better view. The day started out a bit misty but it eventually cleared to sunshine. What a plus to admire this beautiful island!

We had an amazing jeep tour in Madeira!
We absolutely loved all the spots where we stopped — the views were incredible😍 We want to thank our guide Mauricio, because he told us so many interesting things about Madeira and showed us places we would have never found on our own. He drove us along old roads with the most beautiful views of the island — honestly, we would never have made it there by ourselves 🫣 He was also super friendly and fun, and even did photo sessions for us at the waterfalls! By the end of the day it felt like we had seen such a big part of Madeira in just one day! We left with amazing memories and impressions🥭🏝️🏔️ Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Just do it. And ask for Tony!
It was great fun. We saw so much of the island and Tony (make sure to request Tony G) was a font of information and funny. It was a great way to explore the north and west of the island. The lunch stop was especially good. They were very friendly and attentive and the food was superb. Make sure to get the steak on a hot stone. I will recommend this tour to all of my friends that come to explore Madeira. Worth every penny! And I will be taking their East side tour next visit! Side note: take a jacket or windbreaker. It can get cold, even in sunny weather.

A successful pivot
Pena Palace was open for visitors according to all information provided to the public. Unfortunately, as we approached the road leading up to the palace, we saw that the road had been closed by the police. Due to constant rain, they were concerned about possible landslides on the road and decided to block entry. Our driver/guide, Francisco, knew that we had selected this tour specifically to spend time at the Palace. He communicated with his employer, and he ended up taking us to other sites. Francisco visited the sites with us and provided many historical details . He spent extra time with us, we were not rushed at the sites we visited, and he helped turn lemons into lemonade. Obrigada, Francisco.

Taking day trips in Portugal is one of the best ways to experience some of the top sights outside of the cities of Porto and Lisbon. Experience the heritage of making port wine in the Douro Valley, an easy trip from Porto. Or, get picked up in Lisbon and visit Sintra, a region dotted with former royal palaces and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Options further afield, yet still accessible as day trips, include a Jeep tour from Porto to Peneda-Gerês National Park, known for its hiking trails and scenic waterfalls.
