Overview
Look for pods of dolphins around the coast of Albufeira, where marine life and caves abound. Aboard a semi-rigid inflatable boat, you will have access to isolated coastal areas that are difficult to reach by larger boats or by land. What a great trip! Didn’t really feel like we was on a boat, no sea sickness thankfully.
Our guide, ‘the Flying Dutchman’, was really funny & very knowledgeable about the area. He told some great stories too!
We saw the dolphins, that was amazing.
The caves were so pretty, the history was quite interesting too.
We stopped off & did some swimming, the water was crystal clear & so warm.
Julio the captain was funny too, he had some good one liners.
Would recommend for a few hours out 10/10!

Excellent. Much cheaper booking through Viator than elsewhere. Check in was easy to find and very straightforward. Our guide Katrina was friendly and knowledgeable and the captain was a real character, joking with the customers and other boat operators. He had a real sense of mischief and made the tour more memorable.
The coastline and caves are interesting enough but the highlight was the dolphins. There’s apparently about 50-70% chance of seeing them on any given day. They were right in front of, next to and even underneath our boat. Kids loved it as did the adults. There was no hard sell add-ons like you get in some places. We went in height of summer and on the way back you can get chilly with the sea air/breeze. Any other time of year and you’d probably need to take a jumper jacket. Even the guide wore a hoodie on the way back. Would really recommend overall.

Tour with great caravan, 40km max speed, Bathroom on board. First saw a group of dolphins, then the carves of Bengal.

Amazing trip, the highlight of our holiday. Bruno and the other hosts made it really fun and informative. We saw lots of dolphins including a little baby dolphin swimming with its family. The caves were brilliant and the trip was just the right amount of time

Nice to see dolphins and experience the coastline. However, boat was considerably over populated compared to what was advertised - closer to 100 than 18! People working the boat were great, good with interaction and info about the coastline.

The first half viewing the caves was fine. However, on the return back, the boat captain was horrible! He plowed the boat through the waves instead of riding on top of them. We were COMPLETELY soaked through, so much so that we had to literally wring our clothes out. We had to cancel plans for the afternoon so we could drive 30 minutes back to the hotel soaking wet in the rental car to change clothes. I wish I knew the captain’s name.

This was a fun tour of the beautiful caves and beaches of Portugal. The staff was super friendly, even letting my daughter borrow a jacket when she got cold. We even spotted a great place for dinner along the cliffs while we were cruising by. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Vivi and Diogo were fantastic guides — friendly, knowledgeable, funny,and clearly passionate about the Algarve. They explained the history and geology of every cave we visited and made the whole trip feel special. They even took us further out to sea where we were lucky enough to spot dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
The boat was comfortable, the scenery was breathtaking, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend booking with this crew if you’re visiting Albufeira!

The boat ride was fast and a lot of fun, the guide was very entertaining. We didn’t see any dolphins but the caves were amazing and the main reason I wanted to go. Just be aware that if you go during the summer months there are A LOT of other tourist boats and kayaks and what not. You won’t be able to get off the boat at any sites but you have the option of swimming from the boat.

This experience was incredible. The whole crew were fantastic, keeping us entertained and safe the entire time. Seeing the coastline and caves was brilliant. Being able to see Dolphins in their natural habitat really was the icing on the cake. We would recommend this experience to anyone and would 100% do it again!

It was amazing. Captain and guide was awesome. They went and extra and above to make sure we could watch the Dolphins. They were very friendly. Overall we quite enjoyed.

This was a great excursion! Guess to all the caves and gave us a lot of information about them. We also were able to see the dolphins up close. They swam right by our boat. This was the perfect amount of time for everything. The rub boat was fast so we could see so many things during the 2.5 hours. The captains were great and very personable!

This was a brilliant experience. We enjoyed our guide's sense of humour. We liked the sensitivity with which our rib boat driver drove when around the dolphins. It was an amazing experience at the caves - lovely to go through a natural arch. Lots of bits of information and some great fun driving across the sea. Expect to get wet if you are on one of the outside or front seats! We all loved it. We chose not to jump into the freezing cold water for the 5 minute swim stop but there was the opportunity! We had a 15 year old and 11 year old with us. We all loved it.

This tour is best 4.9 rating for good reason.
These two guys are funny and give us good information and advice! Most importantly they made this tour fun for my family.
We did the tour on the RIB boat and we think this is better than on the catamaran.
RIB boat was faster so we saw more, it was smaller so we got better views and could go into the beautiful caves farther.
We saw some dolphins too!!

We had an amazing adventure! Captain Daniel and his assistant Claudia were incredible! Loved their sense of humour! It wasn't guaranteed but we were lucky enough to see many dolphins! The caves were beautiful and I did take a quick "cool" swim break. Loved every moment! Thank you!

What a great experience we had! The captain and crew were fantastic! We were lucky enough to see some dolphins and it was just amazing how the captain navigated the boat in and out of the caves. Overall and wonderful excursion and a great way to spend some time on the water learning and having fun!!

We booked knowing that we may not see dolphins but the experience did not disappoint. Our captain Sergio and guide Thomas were both fantastic and humorous. We opted for the rib experience so we could see more of the caves which again was great. We didn’t have a swim stop which was mentioned but did spend extra time watching the dolphins. A great value trip and would definitely recommend it.
It can get a little chilly out on the water so be prepared, they offered a covering to anyone who was cold, but a towel would work if you needed it. There are no facilities once on the trip for drinks or the toilet in case you wondered.

Really wonderful boat trip. Gabriel was the star of the show full of wit, humour and a killer smile. He showed us all the wonders of the Algarve coast line and we had a wonderful time speeding around in the rib boat, which while fast wasn’t too aggressive or bumpy and didn’t bother my back. We didn’t see any dolphins but this in no way detracted from our experience. More of a would have been nice but a bonus. We were given the opportunity to stop for a swim but we were the only one out of 18 who wanted to so decided not to hold up the group. The scenery is stunning and spending two and a half hours on the water was glorious. Just don’t drink too much before you go as you don’t get any bathrooms breaks on this boat. Really would recommend overall.

A great trip out. We had Gabrielle and I'm sorry I don't remember the captains name. Very well looked after. We didnt see the dolphins unfortunately but they are wild so understand cant be guaranteed.
