After a photo stop at the historic city of Peso da Regua, continue to the first winery of the day, perhaps Quinta do Tedo. Learn how wines, including Port, are made and sample some signatures at a guided tasting.
Stop at the riverside village of Pinhao, once an important center of wine transportation, and soak up the atmosphere on a river cruise. Savor an authentic Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant: Please advise any special dietary requirements in advance.
After lunch, it’s time for a second winery, perhaps Quinta do Beijo, an intimate winery where the owner often leads both tours and tastings. Return to your Porto address in the early evening.

This full day tour was very enjoyable. Our Guide Ricardo was friendly and knowledgeable. We sampled some excellent wines and ports and the three course lunch was delicious.

This experience was awesome from start to finish! Great communication and directions with contact emails / phone numbers provided! We were able to call and speak with someone directly regarding our pick up destination, in which they coordinated for us!
Ricardo!!! We cannot say how much we enjoyed Ricardo and what a gem he is! He arrived on time was very cheerful and welcoming. Ricardo speaks four languages fluently! He is a wealth of knowledge and obvious experience. Ricardo made all of us laugh as he told the stories of the area. He educated us all about the wines, foods, history, geography, and was able to quickly answer all questions our wonderful group had for him! He kept us on schedule, even though we wanted to stay and drink the good wine! Lol.
My husband and I would absolutely do this tour again, but only if we could have Ricardo! And we will definitely recommend it to others!
Be advised, though on the boat trip, no alcohol is provided, and you cannot purchase any - just fyi - that was OK with us, though we loved it either way!

This was an easy and very nice way to experience the Douro Valley. Great communication with the tour operator, convenient pickup & drop off, comfortable ride, and well-planned day with Joao, our friendly and knowledgeable guide. Visiting two family-owned vineyards was much nicer than going to the big brand name places, the people at both vineyards—and the wine!—were great, and the boat ride on the Douro was beautiful. Lunch was very good at an authentic local restaurant. Small group of 8 was a perfect size for an excellent overall experience.

Visited two wineries, early morning pastries and coffee, huge lunch, and best of all, Pedro, our knowledgeable and personable guide. I have some difficulty with walking and Pedro made it his focus to make sure I was getting around okay. He even lent me a charger when my phone battery checked out on me. And to be able to see and enjoy the sights in the Douro region was truly a once in a lifetime .experience. If you ever get a chance to go, go, and try/ to get Pedro to be your guide.

We had a wonderful trip. Sandro was on time and easy to find at our pick up. The first stop was at a lovely female owned winery and vineyard with the most delish ports which was by far the highlight of the wine. A few stops, the boat tour, a lovely lunch at a clear tour hotspot with simple but really tasty food, and the most unreal scenic overlook rounded it out. The final stop was a super pretty winery with a really funny American-Portguese guy hosting. Really do recommend this group and Sandro as a guide. Thanks much!

There is no better way to experience the breathtaking nature of the Douro valley than with this tour! João was our guide and gave an excellent history on the drive there and kept everyone actively engaged throughout the trip! Food and wine were also incredible!

Travelled in a small group of 8 which was nice interesting visit to a vineyard and sampling of wines. Excellent lunch stop and a coffee stop stop along the way Saw a lot of scenery second winery had an interesting tour about olive oil. Boat ride on the Douro river after lunch which was lovely not too much walking involved , all in all a wonderful day

The small group van is much better than a large bus tour. Our driver/guide Tuna (yes, that's his name!) was friendly and informative, as well as an expert driver along windy roads. The Mercedes van was comfortable even in back row. The wineries were small and personal. My only suggestion is that they serve the better wines in the tastings so that customers are more likely to have memorable experiences and purchase the wines. I would not think the entry level 10-15 euro bottles are worth buying on site. The river boat ride was scenic but crowded and touristy (although we are tourists!)

Loved it! Sandro was an excellent guide and our stops were very professional. No hard selling of goods. Gorgeous wineries with delicious tastings. Lunch in Pinhao was delicious with 3 options. We then boarded the Raballo for a 1 hour tour, lovely and the Captain was very informative. We were back at our hotel at 6 pm. I would highly recommend this tour company.
