Your Douro Valley tour begins with either pickup from your downtown Porto address or a central meeting point
After a photo stop at the historic city of Peso da Regua, continue to the first winery of the day, perhaps Quinta do Tedo. Learn how wines, including port, are made and sample some signatures at a guided tasting.
Stop at the riverside village of Pinhao, once an important center of wine transportation, and soak up the atmosphere on a scenic river cruise. Savor an authentic Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant: Please advise any special dietary requirements in advance.
After lunch, it’s time for a second winery, perhaps Quinta do Beijo, an intimate winery where the owner often leads both tours and tastings. Return to your original departure point in the early evening.

Nuno was a wonderful tour guide! It was 100% worth taking this trip to discover this beautiful area of the country. Nuno was very knowledgeable and made sure we were always having fun!
Our experience on this tour was fantastic! Joanna was our guide and did an amazing job! She goes above and beyond to accommodate. I would highly recommend this tour if you want a worry free day full of wine, food and stories. We liked how the group was small 8 people. The places for a snack and lunch were both fantastic. We loved the tour at Quinta do Beijo. Our guide there was also fantastic. Fun and entertaining. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour - well organized and lots of fun. We greatly enjoyed this tour to the Douro valley. Joao (aka Johnny) was a great tour guide and an incredibly personable man. The company was organized, on time and communicated directions clearly. We had a brief stop for coffee in the morning in a beautiful town on the way, a tasting at a family owned winery, then lunch and short river cruise. After that we stopped at one last winery, and our host there, Joao, was funny and kind. It was an enjoyable day.
My mother and I loved this tour. It was the favorite part of our trip. Miguel and Joao were great. The lunch was delicious. All the wines were very very good and all different so it wasn't at all repetitive. The wineries we visited were also different so it wasn't redundant and we learned and saw new things. The boat tour was also really lovely. Everyone throughout the day was a wealth of information, super fun and friendly, and extremely passionate and eager to share. Would recommended this tour to anyone!

This tour was an amazing experience! our guide Ricardo was so knowledgeable about not only wine but the history or beautiful Portugal. I was concerned that because my husband does not drink alcohol it might not be worth the trip but it was so worth it. The beauty of unspoiled Duoro, the delicious wine, and great company all made for a special day.
This tour was an incredibly fun and informative experience!! Miguel, our driver, and Pedro, our tour guide, were so knowledgeable about the area and history. I also appreciated that we stopped at smaller local wineries and got to learn more about the wine making process rather than just look at grapes. The wine was delicious (even the port), lunch was local and so yummy, and the river cruise was small and personable. You’re served wine at both wineries, lunch, and on the boat, so you won’t be starved for it ;) we had a great crew of people, too.
Excellent tour of wine country. Douro River valley is gorgeous. Tasted port and table wines at 2 very different wineries with informative tours at both. Did during harvest time.
Fantastic trip and well worth doing. We did the English speaking tour on Sunday. Easy pick up location to find and clean comfortable air condition minibus. Our driver Miguel and guide Evo (sorry if that’s spelt wrong!) were both friendly, super knowledgeable and made the day an overall great experience. The day was well planned and everything we did we enjoyed and added to the experience. Wine was all delicious and it was fun to learn all about it, how it is made and the local area - which is stunning. The boat was fun and the lunch delicious with lots of options and bottomless wine (and water!). Thank you

Amazing experience! Our guide was friendly, patient & very knowledgeable. The wineries were wonderful and the lunch at the restaurant was incredible! To top it off, the Douro River cruise was peaceful and relaxing. 😎Definitely worth every moment. Would definitely do again
We had a wonderful time going the Douro Valley and wineries. Our guide Sando was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and the wineries. We especially liked the small van format so that we could get to know other travelers. Our lunch was delicious and the wines we sampled were all very good.
Loved this small group tour! Even though we had some rain, it didn't dampen the spirit of our tour guide Renaldo. He took us to a small coffee and pastry shop in the morning. The winery tours were wonderful. We sampled several wines and ports. The barrel room was interesting and even got to climb inside an empty barrel to see how they are cleaned. The second winery was in the process of harvesting grapes. Witnessed the process of washing and removing the stems. Also the process of foot stomping the grapes! It was great! We were also treated to a traditional Portugese lunch! Everything was delicious! A lovely, but wet cruise on the Douro River. Hillside lined with grapes vines and olive trees was incredible. What a beautiful area. Would recommend this trip!
The experience was very good. The driver is very good and she told us lot of Douro Valley and Porto wine.
We are so pleased that we booked this trip. From start to finish it was a fabulous experience. Very well organised with enough time in each location to fully enjoy it and soak up the stunning scenery. Our driver/guide Tuna was very professional and friendly and gave just the right amount of instruction and information about each stop. We would definitely recommend to others and on reflection was probably the best day of our holiday.
Don’t hesitate to book this tour! We enjoyed our day immensely! Ricardo was a great guide who made the drive from Porto informative and fun! The wineries were small and the two tasting experiences and tours were wonderful. The Douro Valley is beautiful and it was wonderful to take in the views on the River Cruise.

This was such a well curated tour and Tuna was a fabulous tour guide. He was on time for pickup and made sure we stayed on time all day. It’s a lovely drive from Porto into the valley. Our guide, Bernardo, was extremely knowledgeable and kept us entertained with both facts and stories. The small port winery we went to first had an entertaining vibe. The second winery, also small, was very classic and informative. In between we had a fantastic lunch and an hour river tour to relax. 10/10!

I had the loveliest time with our tour guide João and the group of 7 I was with. He picked me and another couple up directly from our hotel, which was nice. We visited 2 wineries, had lunch at an authentic restaurant in Pinhão (there were many Portuguese families inside), took a lovely riverboat ride on the Duoro. The wineries were a Port wine focused winery (Quinta do Tedo) with in an-depth tour and I came away knowing about port wine. The second winery (D’Origem) was more table wine oriented but they also had olive oils to taste and showed their process of making it, which was cool. We had a great group of people and lots of laughter throughout the day. Wonderful experience!

Completely worth it! Our guide was Eduardo and he was the absolutely best. He was able to answer all of our questions and even took us to a few of his favorite spots along the trip, given we were a head of schedule. I will be doing this tour every time I come to visit Porto.

Our tour with Antonio was fulfilling, interesting, and fun! We toured a family-run winery and spoke with the winemaker himself Frederico. Then we visited a place making delicious port. All set in breathtaking scenic locales. Lunch was social and filling. The Douro River Valley cruise was beautiful and peaceful, although it lacked any informative commentary on the way. Greatly appreciated the hotel pickup and drop-offs after a full day!

Great trip to the Duoro with Ewardo and 6 others. Stopped at two wineries and had a lovely lunch. Perhaps the port on the afternoon might have been a better combination. I enjoyed the fish and cake at lunch but the white wine was not good - a few of us had to change to red wine as it was much better
