What are people saying about Charleston

Educational and beautiful
We only had 90 mins to spend before heading to the airport. We saw the Gullah presentation, which was excellent! The woman who gave it was an exceptional storyteller and speaker. (Can't recall her name unfortunately.) looked into several of the slave houses-- the list of arriving slave ships was heart-stopping. The main house is not actually very old, so not as interesting to us. The grounds and 650 year old Live Oak are impressive! Wish we'd had time to see more.

Super fun and interesting
Our guide, Sam, was fantastic-- knowledgeable and naturally funny. We learned a lot about Charleston-- we did it our first morning to get oriented. Our only wish is that it was longer! Even our 13 yr old son could have gone on much longer because it was really interesting. Our horse was Boing.

Sumter side trip
Great trip! I have wanted to see Fort Sumter for some time. Boat was clean and on time. I disagree with some of the other reviews which were critical saying trip was too short. I thought the length was fine. It is a very small fort and didn’t take long to see everything.

Dennis was the BEST guide!
Dennis was by far one of the best tour guides we've ever had! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and he had a great sense of humor. We had a 2 hour tour jam packed with great sites, lots of little tid bits, and he answered everyone's questions. I would take his tour again in a heartbeat.

Charleston tours introduce visitors to the city’s two biggest draws: its heritage and its harbor. Take in the city highlights with a vintage horse-and-carriage ride, go modern with a tour bus, or slow things down with an expert-led walking itinerary. Alternatively, pair culture with cuisine on a historic district food tour. Once the sun sets, the city’s haunted history comes to the fore with ghost tours and spooky pub crawls. Pair your explorations on land with a harbor excursion, whether it’s a ferry to Fort Sumner or a harbor cruise for daytime sightseeing, sunset drinks and dinner, and wildlife spotting.
