What are people saying about Charleston

A truly memorable day!
My mom, sisters, and I throughly enjoyed our time with Chef Forrest Parker (aka Gump). After a very informative and engaging walk about town, where we learned about the history, culture, food, and architecture that make Charleston what it is, we arrived at Bistro A Vin. We then dined on a feast prepared by Chef Gump (gazpacho, shrimp and grits, berries and cream), sipped on some wines chosen by the cafe owner, and chatted about Chef Gump’s culinary journey. It was a truly incredible day and well worth the money!

Great tour
Very fun, interesting and very tasty brunch tour of upper downtown area! Nathan was a great guide and our group had good conversation all the while we moved around King and Meeting streets! Definitely would recommend this tour and should we return, would do one of the other tours this group offers!

This was my first time in...
This was my first time in Charleston and I very much enjoyed this tour! Page gave so much insight to the history and being able to sample some food at three different restaurants was such a nice addition. You could tell Page really loves what she does- she spoke with such love for the area and it could be felt by the group. I was traveling solo and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting or having a stay-cation. Thank you Page!

Great combo of history and local food!
Our tour guide Dana was spectacular! She answered every question we had and gave a great overview of the area and history. Food selections were fabulous - although the intro said: "The four stops will equal a full meal for most people", the food stops equaled about 3 meals per person. The food stops were well organized - we sat right down, the food came quickly and it was all delicious!

Don’t Keep This A Secret
A treat! My husband & I did this food tour on our last day in CHS. Nathan guided us to cafes and restaurants that tasty had small bites & dishes waiting for us. He shared interesting history & fun facts about the city, state & food along the way. The opportunities to get to others in our group each added to the fun. Food brings people together! Nathan went above and beyond in all that he did adding to our Charleston experience not only this time but in future trips too. He kept us on track and on schedule which was important to us personally because as soon as the tour was finished we were off to the airport. What a fun & memorable way to end our time in Charleston.

Trees, Teas, and Tannins
Leeann is super nice and knowledgable! This is a great small group tour with a max of 10 people. The Angel Teee is stunning and must be seen in person. The Charleston Tea Garden has free cold and hot tea to drink while you tour the farm and learn about how tea is made. Deep Water Winery wine tasting was super fun and educational! They have live music, and a food truck. Although this is a tour with a time limit, I never felt rushed. It was the right amount of time in each spot to enjoy the sights.

Fantastic culinary experience
We had a truly wonderful experience.. Our guide, Georgia, was exceptionally knowledgeable, welcoming, and engaging. She had a natural ability to connect with every person in the group, making us feel as though we had known one another for years!!
The meal at the restaurant was absolutely fantastic—beautifully prepared and thoughtfully curated. Every detail of the tour felt intentional. Georgia also took time to give us advice
On what to do during our limited stay in town.
Overall, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and elevated culinary outing.

Tour guide was amazing
The person doing the tour was amazing! The choices of the restaurants were not too notch. I appreciated their attention to us as a group. The touristy if if you get Faith!! Her history knowledge and story telling was above and beyond. The food was just so so

Fun Food Tour
We try to do a food tour whenever we visit Charleston, and this time we chose the Upper King. We were not disappointed. Our guide Gordon was friendly and full of information about the food, restaurants, and history. The portions were delicious and filling. Would definitely recommend.

Easily the 10-est 🌟 Tour of 10 Stars
My cousin and I got lucky with our tour guide. He knows his stuff and clearly loves telling tales after dark.
Nathan was able to answer every question without losing stride or his place in his tour talk, had a voice that carries, was able to change the tour flawlessly (a stop had an invite-only event and we couldn't get it), and incorporated local lore into his tour seamlessly. I learnt a lot with out ever getting bored or feeling bogged down.
Also, dude said he writes his own tour talks? I wish he sold a .pdf or booklet. I am not going to remember all this solid info and my little cousins would eat it up with a spoon.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink water, especially if you ARE on a pub crawl.
PS - History should be a double major.
