We had a lot of fun. It was my husband and I. And. then just one other couple and a solo person. So just 5 of us. Nathan was our guide and he did a fantastic job. He was entertaining and knoweldgeable and made the whole experience more fun. The stories he told were great. I'd highly recommend him! And we enjoyed the pub stops: Blind Tiger, La Vaute, Griffon and Tommy Condon's. Really fun!

More of a bar crawl with some Charleston history, than a ghost tour. Not as much ghost lore as we would have liked.

We were looking forward to tales about history and drinking in pubs alleged to be haunted by spirits. Unfortunately, we got little history and a random assortment of pubs that seemed to be picked based only on the guide's preference. We got a few ghost stories as we passed between bars and one pirate ghost story while in a bar that seemingly had nothing to do with pirates or ghosts. Overall, this tour didn't live up to the haunted bar crawls we've done in other cities.

My cousin and I got lucky with our tour guide. He knows his stuff and clearly loves telling tales after dark.
Nathan was able to answer every question without losing stride or his place in his tour talk, had a voice that carries, was able to change the tour flawlessly (a stop had an invite-only event and we couldn't get it), and incorporated local lore into his tour seamlessly. I learnt a lot with out ever getting bored or feeling bogged down.
Also, dude said he writes his own tour talks? I wish he sold a .pdf or booklet. I am not going to remember all this solid info and my little cousins would eat it up with a spoon.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water to drink water, especially if you ARE on a pub crawl.
PS - History should be a double major.

Be ready for anything! Ghost stories with new friends at local pubs make for a great time. Food is great at all the stops (not included as part of the tour.)

I had a wonderful experience touring with Perry. He was whitty, personable, told great ghost stories, told general history, and took us to the coolest bars. The group was smaller which is preferable because you get a more personable experience.

MJ was terrific. Very knowledgeable, engaging and interesting. The
only drawback was that the advertised bars were mostly too crowded to get into. We missed 2 because of that. The walking tour was very interesting. Learning about ghosts and pirates in Charleston was fun.

You could not hear the guide and it was more of someone taking you to a few pubs and telling you a little bit about the history of Charleston.
