D.C. by night

Grachia_S, Jul 2025
The driver took us to all of the cities highlights, he shared lots of information. The van was clean and cool on a hot day. The driver went out of his way to make sure we all got safely where we needed to be.

Keeping the vehicle clean, cool, and ensuring every guest feels safe and well taken care of is very important to us. Do Not Book

Breeaun_C, Jul 2025
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The guide claimed he couldn’t find my reservation because I booked through a third party (Viator) and refused to let me and my mom on the bus. Meanwhile, another family of 4 also had issues with their reservation, but he let them on anyway. Make it make sense. 0/5. The bus was tiny anyway. You’re way better off booking ahead with a trolley or an Old Town car—literally anything but this.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation must have been—especially on what should have been an enjoyable evening in Washington, DC. At Zohery Tours, guests who book through Viator or any other authorized third-party platform are fully accepted, and no one should ever be turned away simply because of how a reservation was made. We sincerely regret the confusion that occurred at check-in and the inconsistency you witnessed. This is not the standard of service we strive to provide. Your comments have been taken very seriously and have been escalated internally for review so we can better understand what went wrong and ensure this does not happen again. We also regret that the situation prevented you and your mother from joining the tour, and that this overshadowed your experience entirely. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. Honest feedback—especially when critical—helps us improve our operations and guest experience. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment you encountered.

We never got to see any...

Anjani_N, Jun 2025
We never got to see any of the monuments due to road closures. The tour compiles about the closures and that we will not be able to see any of the important monuments and still continued with the tour. Why was the tour not canceled or why were not notified of this and given an option to cancel. Worst experience ever and family who visited form India missed out on the opportunity of night tour. If we had know this, we would have walked by ourselves instead of booking the tour

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and fully understand your frustration—especially knowing that your family visiting from India missed what should have been a memorable night tour of Washington, DC. The extensive road closures and security restrictions in the city on that evening were due to official events and were unfortunately beyond our control. We sincerely regret that these conditions prevented access to the monuments and that the tour did not meet your expectations. Your concern about notification and the option to cancel is completely valid, and we apologize that you did not feel adequately informed before the tour proceeded. This feedback is very important to us and has been shared internally so we can review how such situations are handled in the future, including communication with guests and tour operation decisions during extraordinary closures. We are truly sorry that this experience disappointed you and your family, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

A bit stressful, driver...

Heather_R, Jun 2025
A bit stressful, driver was late. We had to call the company to ensure there was a planned tour for pick-up. Started late and finished by 10pm. So be cautious when comparing tours, while it claims 3-4 hours, it was not longer than 2.5hrs. Each stop the driver gave times that were shorter than listed on website. Overall, quick and easy. Driver narrated and provided background, knowledgeable and friendly just felt rushed. Also, many sites were restricted due to upcoming security for parades.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Thank you, Heather, for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your honesty. We’re sorry to hear that the experience felt stressful due to the late start and the shorter overall duration than expected. We understand how important timing and clear communication are, especially when comparing tours, and we regret any confusion or inconvenience this caused. Your comments regarding stop durations and the feeling of being rushed are taken seriously. At the same time, we’re glad to hear that the driver was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided helpful narration throughout the tour. The security restrictions and road closures related to upcoming parades did unfortunately limit access and flexibility that evening, which contributed to a faster pace than usual. Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue improving communication, scheduling, and overall guest experience.

Learned facts about DC

Carry_B, Apr 2025
It was fun! A good way to see the city at the beginning of our trip. Sometimes it was hard to see things because it was dark. But it was a good experience!

Discovering Washington DC: the power capital

VIVEK_R, Apr 2025
Mount Vernon is a great experience and DC by night is something everyone should experience .Lovely time altogether.

By no means...

Melanie_S, Mar 2025
I was not happy at all with the tour. In the description it was said it would last between 3-4 hours - in confirmation only 3 - in fact it took only 2,5 3 minutes before the agreed time there was nobody. I had to ask around. The Guide Charles did not even get out of the bus. We were rushed all the time. Possible interresting stops were not made. Many explanation referred to something in the dark, like the Pentagon. All in all very disappointing and defintely not worth the money.

Amazing Experience

Joyce_S, Feb 2025
Awesome Host. Very nice and knowledgeable. We had a great time Arrived on Time. We had plenty of of time at stops to get out and take pictures. Learned so much about The White House and many other historical locations. 👍

Jorge_M, Dec 2024
Worth it especially being at night time… definitely less crowd and surprisingly you can still get good photos. Driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable

Don’t go if it’s Simon

Shari_S, Aug 2024
Simon the tour guide was very unpleasant and it felt like we were burden to him. The monuments of course were beautiful

The long way around DC

Mandy_S, Aug 2024
Trip is a bit long and many spots were not accessible due to construction of bike lanes and traffic from other tours.

Starla_W, Jul 2024
Love it and Simon was great, will bring family to this tour. Washington DC is beautiful at night love it so much.

A must see tour.

Esmey_K, Jun 2024
Our driver was very informative and allowed us to get great pictures of the monuments. He let us know when to return and also slipped in an additional stop to take pictures at the Jefferson Memorial.

Enjoyable

Daniel_S, Jun 2024
The tour guide (Bobby) was very knowledgeable and he made the tour fun and interesting. He wanted to ensure the group was educated and had fun.

Worth the experience

Johnanna_C, Jun 2024
Great experience, the tour guide very knowledgeable and entertaining, Gave us detailed of things to do in the city . We all had a great time.

Unprofessional

Queen_R, May 2024
We were expecting a bus to pick us up, instead it was a small black dirty van with the lettering coming off. Our tour guide was funny at times, however, the jokes he told was very inappropriate. He’s language was not professional. He was very knowledgeable about the monuments. Overall very unprofessional.

It’s a good tour!

SHAWNAY_S, May 2024
The driver/guide was accommodating, lighthearted and friendly. I enjoyed the sites we visited. Although we did a tour earlier in the day this tour took us closer to the White House and Capital and offered different views of the sites that we hadn’t seen earlier. We also started and ended on time which I appreciated as we had dinner reservations later in the evening.

Excellent experience!!

Jean_L, May 2024
Exceptional! I was with my two aunts, for one of them, this was her first trip to Washington, she was fascinated with this night tour in particular. She mentioned the amount of historical details provided during this your were even more insightful

DC monuments and memorials night tour

Gail_R, May 2024
A great overview of the federal buildings, both used for business and monuments, of the Washington DC area

Not enjoyable!

Tammy_V, Apr 2024
Not a great tour. We drove past monuments and didn’t see many more. It was raining but we all came prepared to get wet. Simon was not a very friendly driver and didn’t appear to enjoy his job much. Do another tour if you really want to see and enjoy the monuments after dark.

Worth Your Time!

Alicia_H, Mar 2024
Excellent tour! Our guide was hospitable, informative, and witty! I truly enjoyed this experience and recommend that you go when in Washington!

You DON'T get what you pay for

Rosario_D, Feb 2024
I do not recommend. Positive: we passed by/stopped at all the monuments. Driver new his scripted basic information for being on the job less than a month. The locations really do look nice at night with the lighting, even though some of the water fountains are turned off in the winter season. When I called to confirm the location, there was someone who answered and even called me back to confirm who I was looking for. Negative: 4 out of 6 people got off the bus after the first stop. Bus was unkept and driver had a bit of road rage. Unorthodox stops throughout entire tour. No bathroom break. He wanted to make a drive by stop at a high end restaurant (unplanned). This should have been mentioned at pick up. The onboarding stop was not marked nor displayed any sign of this being a meet-up location (other buses have a permitted location.) When we got on the bus, it was up to us to open and close the door when we hop in and hop out (which we left open almost all the time because its hard to do). Overall, unprofessional. Save your money.

Response from Host, Mar 2024

This review must be for another company. We don’t have a guide one month in business.

The Night Tour is the Best D.C. Experience

Monica_S, Feb 2024
The information provided by the tour guide was information I never learned on my previous visits to D.C. Appreciated the front curb service and the focus on making sure we were able to see all the sights and get great pictures. Never felt rushed when we stopped at each monument. I'm definitely recommending to my friends and family.

Breath taking and informative after dark DC tour

Bruce_R, Feb 2024
The tour was personalized for our group. Tour guide was very friendly and provided lots of information along with a little comedy.

A great experience to visit DC like this a night… a completely significant and different perspective of our nation’s monuments and historical sights!

Great tour

Ralph_F, Dec 2023
Excellent knowledge and enthusiasm. Smaller bus on off in 10 to 30 min per stop. Hyatt has lobby to wait in Lincoln and MLK at end were best.

Rachael_T, Sep 2023
Great time! And we had an awesome guide. There is something magical about DC at night under the lights.

Great Night tour

Carolyn_B, Sep 2023
Driver arrived on time, he was very knowledgeable, gave extra time for us to explore at several stops, the length of the tour was a full 3 hrs, the driver thanked us individually. Im so sorry i did not get his name. We totally enjoyed all the stops and narrative our tour guide gave. Thank You!!!!
