Trevor did an amazing job he knew his history. He was an amazing story teller. Would do another. Tour. With. Trevor in a heartbeat
Guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job with the stories. Thought it was an appropriate amount of stops and a sufficient amount of time at each stop. Would definitely recommend.
I honestly was disappointed by this ghost tour. Unlike many others we have been on we were able to go inside one or two locations but on this you are just walking the streets and stopping outside to share some stories. The guide was nice and knowledgeable.
Fun walk through Georgetown with some history and spooky ghost stories tossed in. Ends with a spooky trip down the Exorcist steps (if you want)
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed the fun mix of Georgetown history and spooky stories, with a thrilling finish at the Exorcist steps!
Scott was an amazing guide! He made the Georgetown Ghost Tour both fun and fascinating. We loved hearing the stories behind Georgetown’s haunted history and learning how the people and events of the past are connected to the hauntings still talked about today. Scott was engaging, knowledgeable, and a great storyteller. Such a fun way to experience Georgetown—we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it! Be sure to bring mosquito spray if you are a filet mignon.

It was a pretty good experience especially seeing the iconic exorcist steps! My horror senses were tingling lol and the tour host did an amazing job. He was good

Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed seeing the iconic Exorcist steps and had a fun, spooky experience with your guide!
In the summer - bug spray might be helpful to some sensitive to mosquitoes. Definitely wear tennis shoes. This is a long walk and not suitable for flip flops due to unevenness of sidewalks. Our guide Scott was a great story teller! Some great stories !

This was an amazing tour! Our guide, Mariah, was so informative. She told interesting stories, mixed with hauntings and history. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the DC area who’s interested in spooky stories.

Our guide took us to several homes that are said to be haunted and told the stories of the ghosts that inhabit those homes. The tour ended at the house where the person who wrote "The Exorcist" lived when he wrote it, and the stairs from the final scene in the movie are right next to the house.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed the haunted homes, stories, and iconic Exorcist locations. We appreciate your kind review!
Friendly and knowledgeable host. I found the content to be more historical than spooky. The route was manageable; not too many hills or steps, except for the end, which is the Exorcist stairs!
Great way to learn some history about Georgetown! The tour was none stop facts and lore with some paranormal intertwined!

Georgia was our tour guide for Ghosts of Georgetown. She was fantastic, and really made sure the entire group was included. The area has some hills/uneven terrain and she ensured all ages were able to participate. Really fantastic tour guide and I enjoy how she highlighted Georgetown and ensured to set the scene for the area. A fan favorite of my family to experience Georgetown!

It was very buggy - so I got bitten up. It would have been nice to know to bring bug spray. One of the guides came last minute and it seemed not well organized at first
The guide was knowledgeable - but not very engaging. I think it could have been presented so much better. So it was a bit disappointinf
Very knowledgeable and entertaining. It was nice to also get a historical tour of a city with such a back story.

I can’t remember the tour guides name but he was amazing. I loved his enthusiasm. He did so good telling us about the history of the buildings. Worth every penny.

It was fairly boring and “ghost tour” is a bit of a stretch. Highlighting where people lived that used to be alive 50-100 years ago isn’t much of a ghost story. The tour was ok and a nice enough walk to explore, but hardly worth the $70 we paid to walk around for an hour and 15 minutes.
It is an interesting historical tour with a haunted theme. Sonia was very entertaining with fun humor

The evening was over 100 degrees. The guide was good but no sense of urgency to get us moving and out of the heat. We child have finished in an hour. We ended up dropping off the tour early because we just couldn't breath any more.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
I'm glad to hear you felt the guide was good; last week was a historic heat wave with record breaking temperatures; we adjusted other tours and guests complained because they wanted the fully experience. We decided to provide the full tour as guests always have the option to reschedule (or as you did, leave early), but we feel its important to offer what guests booked and run the tour leisurely with breaks instead of rushing to complete.
I forgot my guide's name (he's the head tour guide) but he was very good, I maybe a bit biased given my obsession with the supernatural / paranormal (I love watching Slapped Ham on YouTube) but I think he's an amazing storyteller and is also very funny at the same time, I laughed really hard during it. It was very interesting to learn about these historical figures and American history in general, but I maybe biased given I'm Canadian so I hardly know a thing about American history. Before the tour began, I do recall one of his colleagues being very funny as well, so I take it he vetted the guides to be very funny. I'm from Toronto so I wasn't used to the uneven terrain so you do have to watch your step and at times there's quite a bit of steep inclines and declines so I recommend hitting the gym first, go on some incline treadmills or do leg weight training to prepare for it. There's quite a few bugs but they do offer bug spray which I regret declining. The heat is also quite harsh, but I'm only a tourist who isn't used to 40 Celsius temperatures, so definitely bring water and electrolytes to mix in if you're visiting from a colder city. It's very well worth the money, I really enjoyed it and I strongly recommend it. Also, I may have taken a picture of a ghost but maybe it's just the silhouette of a resident or just someone in what seems to be weird clothing so take pics and maybe you'll have some paranormal souvenirs to bring home

My little cousin and I from Chicago, both took the Ghosts of Georgetown tour, and it was such a great experience!
I've been on quite a few ghost tours, so I tend to have pretty high expectations. Since you're not actually going inside haunted buildings, the tour guide really makes the experience, and Sonia absolutely did.
She was engaging, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and such a great storyteller. She didn't just recite facts; she brought Georgetown's history and ghost stories to life in a way that kept everyone interested from start to finish. She had a great sense of humor, answered questions with ease, and knew how to interact with the group, which made the tour feel really personal and enjoyable.
This was my little cousin's first ghost tour in D.C., and she had a great time. We both left talking about how much we enjoyed it.
If you're thinking about booking the Ghosts of Georgetown tour, I highly recommend it, and if you have the chance to get Sonia as your tour guide, consider yourself lucky!
