Jenn was so pleasant and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the different foods along the tour. Surprisingly the potatoe tacos were amazing as well as the pizza and creme brûlée. We had to take the 3rd stop food home with me which I ate later that night. That too, was very delicious! I definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the trip. My wife and I have been living in the DC area for years, but never really explored it. Was great to hear the history of Georgetown, and the restaurants we fantastic.
Margaret_M, Jan 2026
This experience and tour was amazing! Neka was very knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed all four stops along our walk. I highly recommend this tour and appreciate this companies commitment to local restaurants.
Michael_O, Dec 2025
Overall a good experience but not worth the cost. Most food/walking tours are half the cost of this one. Maybe my expectations were wrong, but I was expecting more Georgetown history, higher end dining options, and a smaller group. Lori was wonderful and made the tour worth doing. Thank you!
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Michael — and we're so glad Lori made your tour enjoyable! She really is wonderful. Our prices are a reflection of our strong commitment to the community: we partner exclusively with locally-owned restaurants, pay full price for every tasting, and tip our servers 20%. A portion of every ticket also goes to Bread for the City to provide meals to DC residents in need. Each of our tastings is carefully curated from award-winning neighborhood favorites. Thank you for being part of that impact — we appreciate you joining us!

Great tour of Georgetown, plenty of delicious food and love that part of the ticket money helps to feed the hungry.
Judy_C, Sep 2025
Our walking food tour was fabulous! Rich and Joe were knowledgeable, fun and inclusive! The food was phenomenal! I highly recommend if you want to see Georgetown, learn a little history and walk away pleasantly full!
Nancy_S, Sep 2025
Large portions of food at 3 stops followed by dessert stop. The food at each stop was great but by the 3rd stop I was full. Any leftovers were taken by the guide or you could take a doggy bag. ( a little awkward as who was going to grab the leftover pizza?) For 4 restaurant stops the tour was too long. The guide talked fast and too much. I didn’t want to be her best friend. Apparently a portion of this tour price supported a community food bank which was one of the best parts.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for the detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the food at each stop.
We intentionally design our tours with larger portions at fewer locations to provide a substantial dining experience and to better support our local restaurant partners. Our goal is for everyone to feel completely satisfied, and we apologize if the amount of food was too much for you. We will also review with our guides how to handle leftovers, to ensure a smoother experience for guests.
We want our guides to feel like a friendly companion for the day, creating a welcoming and personal atmosphere. We are sorry that this approach didn't resonate with you.
We truly appreciate you highlighting our contribution to the community food bank. It's a core part of our mission to give back to the community, and we are proud to know that you recognize the importance of that effort.

Joe's passion for food, history, DC, and people on the tour made for one of the best tours I've ever been on. We learned about Georgetown history, Georgetown University, Georgetown scandals and mysteries, and what makes a great pizza. Highly recommend this tour.

Bring your walking shoes! We walked all over Georgetown and Neka was great showing us all the areas, from old town industrial to low ends and high ends of residential neighborhoods. Sprinkle that with some history! It was really good! Now on to the highlight - THE FOOD. The portions are full size and you get quite a sampling - so it’s a good thing you do a lot of walking. We tried a little restaurant in a shared space market (some vegan entries, some plant based), Amazing Italian pizza, Falafel, and crème brûlée for dessert. We enjoyed it all, but truth be told…if we had eaten everything, we would have been way too uncomfortable. We’re not big on falafel, so being a sandwich, I was able to take it to go. Overall, a great tour. Our guide, Neka, was very charming and amusing and we enjoyed our afternoon.
Josue_A, Feb 2025
Thanks to Neka the best tour guide I ever had so far successfully done the best guided tour I ever had in Georgetown at Washington DC. Since the beginning of the tour, she flawlessly engaged Us introducing herself by sending a text message to keep us engaged with her, introduced herself in a particular way where she introduced about her likes and hobbies while successfully integrated the group by asking about the other couples' hobbies. Through the entire tour Neka from Blue Fern Travel kept us interested everything related to Georgetown history to include The Market, the town's people contribution to the history of Washington DC and Georgetown 180 miles canal information. Along with the food experience, which was awesome, I would like to let know the Blue Fern Travel team I am willing to do it again with the same tour guide, Neka. Thank you for an astonishing experience.
