You drive by each monument and get a 3 second view, if you're lucky. The food is bad. The tea is ok but you get about 1/4 of a cup of each one. The best part was the tour guide , who was charismatic and sang jazz songs throughout the tour. Definitely not worth the money, sadly.

We had a great time! The tea was delicious, and the service was lovely! Our tour guide sang and had a beautiful voice that really added to the vibe. I will say the finger sandwiches were not that tasty but there was enough little sweets to snack on during the tour, just don’t go hungry! I would still recommend this tour and would go again!

Food seemed like it had been left out for a day. All the bread was hard. Nothing was real fresh. There was a Groupon board that instead of talking in a normal voice like to yell and scream, which was never addressed by anybody there was no narration of any of the historical sites that we supposedly drove by all around just a bad experience. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear my partner talk and she couldn’t hear me either. Do not recommend this as it was very poorly done. It was not on time. They showed up an hour later than they were supposed to. I never complain about anything, but for the money it was not worth it at all.

Absolutely a wonderful tour around the basin while enjoying plentiful food!!
Only negative comment is that you cannot reach out to a live person to inquire about gluten free offerings and the ability to retrieve items accidentally left behind. After leaving voicemail messages, no response was ever received.

Joseph was such a delight. His singing during the tour put it over the top. It was a fun time. Even for one of us who lives in the area.

Plenty of food, scones were delicious. Offered 5 different teas, seating very nice and the decorated with cherry Blossoms.
Karen_W, Mar 2026
The bus was delayed three hours and I did get the opportunity to experience the trip. My sister and I were interested in seeing the Cherry Blossoms while experiencing tea around town. Unfortunately, it did not happen

Be there on time and come ready to have fun and good pictures. The snacks are great, the honey vanilla tea was my favorite I highly recommend it.

It’s a cute & fun concept but poorly executed. The decorations are getting old and shabby and the floors were extremely dirty. One of our tea cups had old dried tea leaves in it. There were no utensils available to eat with or to butter the scones with. The window sill had old food smeared on it. Our bus departed 40 min late due to protests in the area (understandably) but there was no communication about the delay, and no way to contact the company. Their phone number doesn’t go to an actual person, it’s just a pre-recorded line that says to fill out their online form. When we finally departed, the staff noted that we would be getting five types of tea but we ended early (after about 65 min) and only had three different teas, and the last tea came right as the bus was stopping. There was music playing throughout, even while the guide was giving info about the sites - so I couldn’t hear anything she was saying. Only redeeming quality were the staff who were very nice.

Tour was cancelled 15 mins before its start time while guest were gathered waiting. Cancellation came via text with option to reply or reschedule. From what I’m told this is not abnormal as two pairs of guest waiting said this was their second rescheduled because of something similar.
We received a refund email but only for 50%. I will not book this in any city ever again as a 50% refund for the vendors cancellation at a $200 price point is unacceptable.

After 2.5 hour wait in 20 degree DC weather, the BUS NEVER SHOWED UP! This was one of the worst experiences ever! They kept sending delay messages by text, five minutes before departure. No apologies - no good communication! Don’t go!

The service was good. Our hostess/tour guide sang to us. She had a beautiful voice. The food was good.

The experience was nice, but there could be some improvements. I was expecting to see the popular monuments in D.C. but the route changed and I was not given the option for a refund or credit. The hostess did not provide much education on the places that we saw. The places were also basically just parks or churches. I would not have scheduled that voluntarily. The bread on the sandwiches was crunchy. We were only given a quarter of a cup of tea...basically 3 of 4 sips. The Tea selections were nice, but should be given more. The tour operator/customer service team is not responsive. I sent emails and messages via portal but didnt get a response until the day after I took the tour. There were a couple of positive things also: the hostest sang for entertainment (great voice), the staff that poured the Tea was nice, the Souvenir cups and to go boxes are nice. I wouldn't take the tour again, but glad I had the experience.

The bus tour, bus ambiance, bus decor experience was excellent. The food was already at our tables and wrapped in handi plastic wrap but when it was unwrapped the bread was NOT FRESH, no knowing how long the food was prepared and sitting before we boarded was NOT GOOD. In getting off the bus my stomach was really upset. I went to the closest fast food restaurant to use the restroom where I completely vomited EVERYTHING I ATE. The sandwich’s with the tuna, sour cream and cucumber crackers, caviar, scones……
Julie_S, May 2025
Unusual, I’m sure. Microphone never worked so no tour comments. Only mattered to us tourists, not to locals. Bought 4 tickets but assigned table only set for 3. That meant treats were portioned for 3 not 4. Promised special treats at end of tour for 4th passenger buy by time it was over they forgot to bring it to us. Oh and notified 5 hours before it would be 30 minutes late. Reality was over hour late. Good thing we had no plans for afterwards.
JohnMichael_M, Apr 2025
The idea for this experience was really great. The bus looked nice and at a glance the food looked nice as well.
But the food was all stale and/or soggy. You can tell it had been made at least a day before.
In addition, when I asked for some extra jelly for the scones I was told they didn't have any extra. (There was a single jelly packet for 4 scones.)
Lastly, the teas were so slow in coming that if you didn't like some of the early tea flavors you essentially didn't get to enjoy any tea. (My mother and I basically didn't get to drink any tea until about 5 minutes before the tour ended.) And even if you did like want to try all the flavors there time gap between the various teas was too long.
This tour felt like it would have been fun with young daughters. But as an adult, I have been better off walking around the city myself and just going to a tea room for tea/food.

Good experience. Paige is a great singer and host. Adequate selection of snacks. Very well presented.
Bareket_Z, Mar 2025
My six-year-old son and I arrived at 9:15.
At 9:45, we spotted the bus driving pass us around the block.. At 10 o’clock, I called the company to find out that they changed the pick up location and did not inform me. There’s a lack of communication between the bus company and Viator. Very disappointing!!!
