The guide did a great job telling stories about different events and took us by many prominent sites. He was in character and very entertaining. People with kids should use caution however as there were many inappropriate stories and a lot of curse words used. I almost left because of it. There were a few kids present and the language was not appropriate.

We live in DC, but decided to book this tour to learn some fun DC history. Our tour guide, the famous frontiersman, Davy Crockett, took us on an entertaining journey through history as we walked the Capitol grounds and nearby buildings. Having worked on the Hill, I’d heard bits and pieces of some of these stories, so it was great to have everything pieced together and shared in such a fun way!

We loved it! We had Davey Crockett and he was so realistic! It was more of a history tour than a ghost tour - so definitely family friendly. We have lived in DC our whole lives and learned many new things. It’s also nice to walk around the Capitol grounds at night! A unique experience. Davey is very knowledgeable of the history and it was easy to retain everything he said because of the fun storylines he framed! Definitely recommend this tour and the price is a steal! There are a few more that cost a bit more and I don’t think that’s worth it.

Our tour guide, Davy Crockett, was awesome. He is very knowledgeable about DC and all things on Capitol Hill. It is clear to see and hear that he loves this country, city, and their history.

The Ghost of Davey Crockett picked us up and took us on an adventure through time. He recognized that we had a 6yo and 10yo children and fully embraced keeping them engaged! BOTH kids were able to retell the stories!

I learned things that I never knew (and I've been to DC at least 10 times prior as a tourist) and our guide was so animated and entertaining, she made it very enjoyable...would definitely recommend it

Our guide was very good. He played his character very well. The stories were told well and he interacted with the group. We had a bit of rain and he did offer the "carriage" option (stay under a roof for the rest of the tour), but our group decided to continue on. I also appreciated the option to sit when we made it to the Capital.
My only criticism would be that in certain areas where he stopped to talk, there was so much road noise, it was hard to hear.

I was really excited for the tour but it didn’t really live up to expectations. The tour guide really made it more theatrical rather than giving us history. It makes sense, it is a ghost tour but it really was just slightly disappointing. Not worth $25.

Do not book with this company. The guide did not show up and we still haven’t heard anything from the guide or booking service. We went to the reviews and it doesn’t look like this is the first time this has happened. Very disappointing for our only night in Washington DC.

With a full moon just before Halloween, a ghost tour was a natural fit. We enjoyed our guide, and the opportunities for photos on Capitol Hill were a big bonus feature. A pleasant evening walk.

It was terrible. Poured rain. Couldn’t enjoy. Left 15 minutes into tour. Couldn’t understand tour guide. Just not a good night to be outside.

Didn’t even go on the tour. Was contacted to change dates as they didn’t have anyone else booked on for the tour we’d booked. We duly agreed even though we had other plans. So yesterday evening the tour was meant to go ahead. By 7.50pm (tour 8.30pm) the sky was black, pink and yellow and thundering down with rain and lightning. We contacted the tour company but no response. I have two special needs kids, one with cerebral palsy and one ADHD and it would not have been safe to take them in the lightning on a walking tour. I have emailed the company but no response. This tour in the weather conditions of last night shouldn’t have gone ahead for safety reasons. The company have not reached out to me despite being aware I have two disabled kids and only agreed to do the tour yesterday because they wanted us to, we didn’t book for last night. I’d expect some communication and remuneration for this.

Our guide , Mary Surrat , stayed in role even when the Capitol Building Security officer asked if we were doing a tour or something. She replied, “ We are looking for ghosts.” She had a great sense of humor and was lively and interesting. The weather was perfect and the length of the tour was just right. A perfect family activity for us and our two 13 year old grand daughters.

I've been to plenty of ghost tours, but this by far had to be the most snooze fest. I really feel bad though b/c the tour guide was theatrical but I think he over explained on the background of the tale. There definitely wasn't enough ghost stories and at a certain point of the tour, we sat down on the steps, which was fine. But it felt like we sat there for too long that people lost interest.

Our guide appeared very knowledgable but the stories were scattered, told with stops and starts, and didn't have much substance. She also made a couple of claims about some of the buildings that were false - which caused me to wonder how much of her narrative was fiction. We weren't expecting actual ghosts but I was hoping for great views, a narrative of DC that I hadn't heard before, and, if nothing else, some entertainment. We didn't get much of that in the first hour of the tour and made the decision to make a quiet exit. We still tipped her a small sum since we know everyone deserves to make a living for their work, even if it wasn't what we had hoped or expected. The teenagers were especially underwhelmed.

Amazing tour guide and great spooky history lesson. Lots of humor and hidden gems as for the stories. Evening tour also gives some great photo ops.
