Come early to find the tour office. The directions were a bit confusing but the locals were very nice helpful. There are a lot of stairs to climb and descend so be aware
My guide was so pleasant and accommodating. It would be helpful if you showed us more about pointing and talking about different art pieces, however, he carried a laminated booklet and pointed more towards the images in his portfolio rather than what we were actually looking at. We also passed over several rooms that looked interesting and did not take the time to go in and view them. Also, it would have been so nice to have seen the spiral staircase, but at the end of the tour, he mentioned that it was at the entrance and not the exit and since we finished at the Basilica inside the Cathedral, there was no way to see it on this tour, which was very disappointing .
Our guide Sylvia was excellent. She was a great storyteller and so knowledgeable. She was able to avoid every line and moved our group through the whole experience efficiently without missing out on highlights.
We were so glad to have booked a guided tour - especially after seeing the line of people waiting to get in who didn’t have tickets. It was such a thorough and moving tour! Our guide, Sylvia, had a heavy Italian accent so was a little difficult to understand at times, but we were able to keep up for the most part. I highly recommend taking this tour!
Extremely crowded. Difficult to keep up with tour guide. Audio quality was poor. Tour guide’s voice was insufficient for the task.

Wonderful and the guide was very informative with explaining the various sculptures and talestries! Definitely worth the skip the line tickets to move through the various exhibits easily and efficiently yet we enough time to get all the pictures of the experience!
We were with the company Good Morning Italy Tours for an organized tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. The guide was hard to understand in english, and the meeting point was poorly marked. It was the organizers of another tour group who helped us find them. Me and my wife was surprise because all tours propose by Viator were perfect. Viator have a good note in my mind.

Good afternoon, we're surprised about your review because our office is near by the Saint Peter's Square and we are in a big square very easy to be found. The day of your tour and you were later, we waited with the rest of the group guiding you by phone until us. We consider your review completely no sense also because if you read all the other feedbacks left by customers before of you, all of them are satisfied of us and they found easy our office.

Our tour guide was Cara. She shared her knowledge of art and history with a passion which added to the experience. She has patience with her clients, needed when a child was loud and running around. I recommend toddlers not be allowed on the tours, it affects others experience on the tour. Cara was caring that we had water, shade, and documents stored safely.
The tour was exceptionally wonderful. Our guides detailed explanation of David was a highlight, and brought the marble statue to life, as if we were right there when it was being chiseled and honed by the master.
Perfect experience, straight forward and easy all the way through.
The website was easy, booking, paying options.

Nice to “skip the line” but the earpieces weren’t great, I found myself not paying as much attention to the guide, and felt rushed. It was great to get to see the St. Peter’s but would maybe have preferred to do a standard audio guide on my own. The company also felt more driven by profit than customer satisfaction

I did enjoy this experience. For me, it was a little overcrowded and I couldn’t always hear the tour guide. I completely understand this is out of your control, but it did seem a little bit like organised chaos. Also, I was under the impression we were walking through the silent part of the Sistine chapel, but that didn’t happen? I’m unsure if that was too busy with people waiting. Nevertheless, it was absolutely beautiful with what I did see and the tour guide was extremely kind, considerate and knowledgeable.
I want to thank the tour operator for allowing my wife and I to join a later tour. I was unable to find the store front which was the starting point for our tour. The manager personally escorted us to another tour provider so we did not miss seeing these site. I greatly appreciate his professionalism and personal service. It was also an excellent tour. Thank you very much.
Tour was organized from start to finish. Our guide, Eleanor, was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around.
Great tour to skip lines , be ready to walk - we spent about 4 hours in this activity. Our tour guide was great !
What information we received from the guide was very good and enjoyable. However everything was very rushed and was like a speed tour. We were quickly guided through the museum of the Vatican with little explanations. We were not accompanied to the sistine chapel, and did not attend St Peter's Basilica. There are better tour options out there than this one.

Hi, dear Rebecca, we're sorry about your review. Regarding St. Peter's Basilica, we notified all our guests in advance that it would be closed due to preparations for Good Friday.
We also sent you a message, an email, etc.
Only you didn't visit St. Peter's. The rest of the group experienced everything. They respected our instructions to arrive early at 8:40 because St. Peter's closed at 12:00, as per Vatican City regulations.
Regarding the tour duration, we respected the two and a half hour time limit.

We had Gaida as our guide and honestly she was amazing! We couldnt fault her in anyway she was so pleasant well spoken and really knew her stuff! You could tell how much she enjoys her work and the way she talks about every single thing. No question was to small or too big for her. The place in it self just speaks volume we were absolutely blown away by everything.
This tour was extremely well organized, we were guided through the various exhibits very efficiently, and the tour guide was outstanding in her knowledge of the different areas that we viewed.
Our incredible and knowledgeable guide Paolo exposed us to all the sites and details most people have never see. He even took us on a couple of added stops based on the groups questions and interest. Definitely ask for him!
My family of 3 adults took two Viator tours while visiting Rome. One to the Colosseum the other to the Vatican. We went October 2025. Expect crowds! The booking and getting tickets went smooth and was easy. Directions were good on where to meet each tour.
Plan on LOTS of walking unless otherwise stated. The guides are very knowledgeable but even though they were English speaking, some were very had to understand with the headset. If there is not a planned bathroom stop on a tour it should be advertised.
I’m giving 4 stars because of difficulty understanding the guides and no bathroom stop.
The info had said, no printed ticket needed. Then I got an email that said print your ticket the day before. I’m in a hotel so I didn’t have a printer, but I got the hotel to print the ticket I took the ticket to the Vatican and St Peter’s Cathedral and they would not except the printed ticked I had. They said I needed a square QR code and the one on the paper was rectangle. I’ve tried to reach someone and no one from Vasica has answered me. I would like a refund for my 250.00. I had no problem with the other two sites I saw in Rome thru Vasica with the correct code bar.

Good morning, dear Lisa, I must tell you that this is not exactly the case. In your reservation that arrived by email, you definitely received an address where you were supposed to come, namely Piazza della Citta Leonina.
When you emailed us in the morning, we replied that you didn't need to print anything.
For this reason, at 12:00 p.m., we cannot issue a refund because the mistake wasn't ours. We are very sorry.
Furthermore, our staff called you on the number you indicated in the reservation and sent you a WhatsApp message, but you didn't respond. You texted us at 6:00 p.m., which was already very late.
We are sorry, but this review is not true and unfair.
